CRAZY HORSE

This weather is so unpredictable ...glanced outside this am, and we had the wet stuff ...hmmm, predicted?...don't recall our weather gals saying it might...then, in the still of the night...read that in Tonga, an underwater volcano erupted ... flash warning throughout the northern west coast of the USA...tsunami stuff ...a big wave...of course, I did not know there was an underwater volcano there...and on the other side of the country, they are expecting cold cold temps, with the snow falling, too...there you go, the predictions of the Horse... Just read this, by Sam Champion ...it is worse than I imagined... "the eruption causes lava, debris, smoke, lightning, tsunami waves, and flooding...it's as close to Hell as I can imagine..." Might as well do the same for the NFL playoff games today (predictions) ...while I am at it...Bengals over the Raiders...in a slaughter...and in the freeze, the Pats over the Bills...maybe OT?... The NBA ... the Dubs mauled the Bulls ...as...

Yea, so, sometimes you just 'Can't Explain' a  phenomena... case in point is the failure to play up to one's abilities...this song, is from the knock out group, 'The Who'...it was the B side...notice this headlining hit of the 45...ah, what is a 45?... Some times things just do not gel ...might one call them upsets?...not in the NBA...as they play a ludicrous amount of the games...82 regular season ones, and then, if good enuff, the possibility of 24 more in the playoffs...with all that running, jumping, starting & stopping, pivoting, going side to side, and colliding (and Covid)...how the dudes make it thru the entire season is beyond me...let alone the constant travel...so, expect an 'off' showing once in a while...usually on the road...case in point the Dubs loss at the Bucks last eve...down 32 early...and thus, done...for the nite... The exception is when you are streaking ...with wins or losses...the effort seems to be there more often...either ...

So I was pouring over the scores in the newspaper...ah, the Trib ...as I scour the sports page each and every day... as the Horse is a voracious reader in the am ...the articles that are about the locals mostly, the Aztecs and the Padres ... then the LaLa teams are covered quite a bit...especially in football and hoops time ...but I like the scores and transactions section lots...came upon a score that included this school I had seen before, but did not know where they were based...in college hoops... Incarnate Word ...there have been conglomerate teams in the past...like Athletes in Action...but no...this one got me going... thinking it was perhaps, a real school...a college or university...I reckon a religious one...and has to be based in Texas, the land of the gazillion schools...just hunches ...did the Boss Lady thang and 'googled' it...yup, a Catholic college in San Antonio, Texas ...said to be the largest religious school in the state...bigger than Baylor?...OK, I'...

In my last excursion up north to the great state of Orygun ...the annual trip for a Duck football game...my host, Snooki, took us out to the super site of the Willamette Valley Vineyard ....and this is where I took this photo shot from...on a cold, rainy day...but, still, the beauty of the area stood out...don't you think?... Doctor Fauci, who seemingly is always getting grilled by the Senate ...let out some info that maybe we all kinda knew... Rep Senator Roger Marshall (Kansas) ...when I first heard this, I thought he was referring to Rep Senator Rand Paul (Kentucky) ... who indeed may be a dolt ... And of course, reminded me of back in one of my coaching days ...the infamous referee of the area, Millard Bates , was doing my game...high school hoops...

Modern medicine...and or practices ...with the confusion of how to handle Covid and it's variants...still rampant, and many are hinting...growing...there is this headline out...that there has been a successful transplant of a modified pig's heart into a human...?. ..I guess there are things that I will never understand...cloning, is another...yes, and I don't get how scientists come up with vaccines, either...we just trust that those in that biz, know what they are doing...right?...truly amazing... The things that I do understand, are the those that I can see ....as it transpires...OK, you are wondering where I am going with this...at some point in time, we all choose the path that we are going to follow... medicine, farmer, teacher, pro athlete, coach, lawyer, truck driver, waitress, ah, you get my drift ...when does this happen?...or, does it just happen?...somewhere in your schooling, it must be then...that triggers your wants and desires...I believe that...one of my pe...

In the final week of the NFL regular season ...the Horse kept bringing up the dual of the Chargers and the Raiders game in Vegas... winner is in, and the loser is out...wait, just a minute, buster...there was a caveat ...if the game ends in a TIE , both will go to the playoffs ... BOTH ... the LOST OBSESSION of football ...used to have them often...not so much anymore... Seemed to be a forgone conclusion, as the Raiders had the game well in hand ...yet, out of the blue, came the UO Alum, Justin Herbert...QB extraordinaire ...who in the final stanza brought the Chargers back...to a TIE! ...clutch play after another...and the game went to the OT, ah, overtime... Sure, of course, the only scores the teams could muster...were the bloody FG's ...field goals...plus, the time was running out...it appeared that BOTH teams would qualify, by this bizarre set up of a TIE...in the final 36 seconds of that happening... the HC of the Chargers took a drop dead TIME OUT! ... which, according t...

That sorta sounds like a composite deal, that probably won't work... 'Who's In?' ....well, who's in with me? ...is more like it... but, naw, I am talking the NFL playoffs ...after today and tomorrow's games...we will know what's what... here is what the Horse knows ...t he Bengals, Chiefs, and Titans won their division title and are in. .. the Pack, Bucs, and Cowboys won theirs, and they are in ... the Bills and Pats have already clinched a spot , the rest of the AFC is up for grabs ...in the NFC, the Cards, Rams, and Eagles have got theirs, too ... the rest is to be decided today ....whew...and there are loads of possibilities...one thing I do know...is that the winner of the Chargers / Raiders game is in...or if they tie, the Chargers are in.. .confused?...well, I guess I didn't help much... As I was a gazing out at the lights of the city last eve ...man, I couldn't believe how many Xmas lights were still ablaze...and TREES, too ...my guess, is t...
