Perhaps, I should have lead with   'Shocking Waves' ... as up and down the Cali coastline, there have been huge waves hitting the beaches...and some places, beyond...like inland ... this awesome photo is from Carmel ... up by the kids, in Ventura , the waters made their way inland...down here, in south SoCal, we ventured out to Mission Beach . ..did not see the real big waves...guess it depended on the timing of when to go...as many of you know, we live inland more...by the bay... Did trump ever attend one of these? ...I could see his choices as...well, you have to stretch a bit... Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, and Roseanne... I have been saying all along that the choice in the Repub Party for '24 will be Nikki Haley .. .she did an oops, when queried last eve about who started, or, what the Civil War was all about...she hemmed ha around and really didn't say much ...a Sarah Pa...

So you go to the super, and amongst many things you buy....you decide upon a cereal 'Raisin Bran Flakes' ...the next day, in the am.... you take out your RBF and pour it into a bowl...alas, there are NO RAISINS ...what the heck?... add the milk and it still tastes good, but, geez, not what you thought you bought... So you buy some tickets to a bowl game , in advance, mind you...to get good seats...then, you arrive at the game ...and the teams come out onto the field... and there are 10 'stars' not in uniform...shoot, the head coach is gone, too ...well, the game goes on... and it is OK....but it wasn't what you paid for... Do you see any similarities? .... there ain't any raisins ... I'm looking out my window as I write...and it is a most beautiful red tinted fog , amassing the Hood...really cool and eerie at the same time... Your guy trump , avoided in Michigan, what Colorado did...take him off the primary ballot ...imagine in these days...that we are even...

How was your Christmas? .. .ours was just fine...a time in the pool...hot tub...some football...ha ha...and then a din din out at our friends, the Dude's and Susans ...wonderful meal and time...TG for Uber, or Lyft...as some of us were over-served... a big THANK YOU to them! This is 'Thank YOU Note Day' ... another one of those lost arts...the invent of the computer, cell phones, and any other bluetooth wonder ...the writing and sending of the Thank You's are history...some still do...most not... I love the written ones, nevertheless...however, I leave that to the Boss...my handwriting is absurd...like a doctor's but I am not...people may think scribbling ... 'didn't they teach him cursive in school?' ...not sure if they do now...get them on a keyboard as fast as they can... A whole week without golf...what am I going to do with myself? ...ah, yes, back to my Rachel Maddow book ...it tests my ability to analyze and think...and does take me back to the ...

To finish up with my week of Christmas Music ...seems appropriate to honor the Carpenters ... 'Merry Christmas, Darling' ... written by Richard Carpenter, lyrics by Frank Pooler...and highlighted the sweet voice of Karen Carpenter ...released in 1970...curiously, has not been played much this season...wonder why?...and believe me, I listen to tons of Christmas songs on XM, as I go to and fro the golf course...they also released a Christmas Album, that was simply...awesome... Merry Christmas to you all...I hope things are going well...it's a strange time for many...the Covid changed things...the Gaza mess...the ongoing ugly trump stuff...the absolutely weird white supremacy rearing up, again...after 100 years, mind you...not so settling for all of us, who are of different heritages...and colors...the religion question...the climate change...there are so many factors that cause...questions...and uncertainty... We watched the one and only 'White Christmas' flick last...
