CRAZY HORSE

Nothing that strikes more fear than what Mother Nature throws at ya...in this case a Hurricane...the 8th one in the south...named Harvey ...monstrous weather that is now over east Texas...got to be as high as a category 4 storm...which means 130 mph winds...and, if you are there...you tie up everything you got...and hope and pray that you are spared and safe...police and firefighters are not responding...terrifying...just now, the pixels are showing the aftermath...hey, living on the Gulf Coast can be beautiful...and also, like this...such warm waters... OK, much less things that are, or were, happening... That Mayweather/McGregor fight is tonight in Vegas...the undercard starts at 6...figure the main event  will be around 8:45...so much hype for this...right?...the 'experts' think it will be no match at all...the boxer wins easily...hmmm...that's where the intrigue is...he hasn't knocked any one out for like 10 years, albeit still undefeated...he's 40...and...

It's but a week to go...the schools are back in session (ah yes, depends)...anyway, the players are back...and it's about that time...for some FOOTBALL! ...yup, our gladiator sport ...take a look around ya, who isn't in a fantasy football league?...of course, the high schoolers start soon, too...I like it cuz the 'new year' begins with it...communities, colleges, and the pros all come together...in droves, to gather and spectate at the games... My fav is the collegiate ones ...you know I like the Ducks ...and the Aztecs have been growing on me...I will get out to the Q and see them play this year, again...I already have tix for an Orygun game in October...but, I watch the games on the pixels, lots...one really intriguing is the opening fray of Alabama and Florida St...both of them picked to be in the top 4...somethings got to give... Morning, kids...feel like talking the NBA?...the over-hyped Cleveland Cavs were in a must trade position due to the disgruntled PG Kyrie Irving ...who didn't want to be the wing man for LeBron James anymore...got it?...that is and was the issue...so, the Cavs offered Irving to EVERYONE!...allegedly...even to the GSWarriors for one of the Big 4 there...the Thompson kid...ha ha...just a giggle and there was no interest... Alas, there was somebody a really nibbling on the bait...right in their own back yard, so to speak...in the east...them Boston Celtics ...loaded with a gaggle full of future draft picks...and some desire to have Irving as their PG...a deal was done...they gave in return, their PG, a swingman, an I don't know who he is, and a future draft pick via the Nets (has to be a good one)...4 fer 1...of course, the key for Cleve was Isiah Thomas ... Let me start out by saying this... boxing is a brutal sport ...no one ever talks about concussions when it's brought up...as that is what ya'll want to do, beat the guy brainless...I guess... knock him out! ...then you WIN ...hmmm, so what is the fascination?...knowing it is this vicious battle of two blokes ...as I was growing up, Cassius Clay, then Mohammed Ali, was the wonder of the sport...and we rarely missed a bout of his...others followed... Seemingly, the concept of brawling...died off ...until this MMA(Mixed Martial Artist) thing came out...where you could pretty much do anything in it... a caged up area...shoot, bring in the gals to do it, too...they have their champs...I dunno, maybe a cross between boxing and rassling...kick boxing and well, whatever ...there is an audience, just not my thing... Anyway...there is a cross over bout to happen this Saturday in Vegas (duh, where else?)...as a pure boxer is taking on a MMA champ ...to see if there is parity, I sup...

So where you gonna be for... the total eclipse of the sun? ...are you one of the masses who are traveling up to the premiere path of the eclipse?...which bisects the middle of the country...seeings our roots are from Orygun , we get the poop from up there...the worries of the inhabitants...too many people in the land of the trees, where it just may not be able to handle it...all this for about a 3 minute phenomena ...if you miss it, there is another one coming in less than 10 years...let's hope the weather holds up and it's cloud free...
