So there you go...the Elite 8...here it is... Oregon vs Oklahoma Kansas vs Villanova North Carolina vs Notre Dame Virginia vs Syracuse Hmmm, 3 of them are from the Big East ...shoot...and the pundits are laughing at the country..."see, we know our stuff"...interesting, as I figure all 3 of them will get beat ...but...I know nuttin... go Ducks... To quote the Bern , "it's a YUGE WIN!" for the mighty Ducks of Oregon ... there are not enough adjectives to describe the upset that the rest of the hoops world witnessed last eve... they beat the reigning champs...the dahlings of the east...the Duke Blue Devils ...and their illustrious coach, the guy only known as Coach K...upset you say?...just ask all the pundits...or listen or read their thoughts...on paper, the web net, and on the pixels...ha ha ha... This was no fluke ...in all aspects of the game...the Ducks bested them...O, D, and all other parts...including the key to it all... COACHING...Dana Altman , had UO ready to roll...confused and bewildered the much higher acclaimed counter part ...who, did the unimaginable...when the fray went south, he sat his troops in a terrible 2-3 zone...and got whupped...like he gave up...in lieu, of firing 3 balls and fouling with 2 + minutes to play...weird... Too much is made of, the after game actions of the teams......

Now THIS is the game that the ESPN peops are all over... Oregon versus Duke in the Big Dance ...they make light of the Pac 12...they bask at the over-ratings of the Blue Devils...something has to give... look at the % of those who think the team that will win, is ...oops, that's a very bad sentence...forgive me...it's about half and half...and THAT'S the ones the country wants to see... Match Play in the PGA in Texas... right in the wheel house of Jordan Spieth ...where he has played a gazillion rounds...thus, he is the favorite, right?...not so fast, my friends...being an unconfirmed host is hard on the youngster...er, any pro...these guys are real good...unlike amateurs, the ranking of 1-64 means very little ...any of them could win... get hot with the flat stick and the T is yours ...surprised that there is so much water on the course... The Belgian bombing is just so disgusting in so many ways ...these guys have been able to travel throughout the area for som...

I guess I wish for the days when the world was less at odds with this crazy fanaticism ...is that what one calls it?....you know, like in the...well... there has been scary times in my lifetime ...some I was unaware of at that moment...whether it be the Korean War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War...then...it's been the middle east...for the rest of the time...and now...the absurd...where lunatics will kill anyone ...any time... preying on the innocent ...it's just a sad time for humanity ...witness the latest...in Belgium...so maybe there hasn't been the world was less at odds...maybe it's always been there...hmmm...regardless, we need a united world of nations to ban together to rid the earth of these heathens ...am I saying this right?... Sunday had it's extraordinary games in the Big Dance , don't ya think?...ah, the Sweet Sixteen ...has such a beautiful ring to it...the state of Oregon is gushing all over, as not only the Guy's Ducks , but the Lady's Beavs , moved into the next set of frays...way cool... The last game played was the Oregon / St Joseph one...and it was a donny brook...ha ha...could have gone either way, right?... a huge 3 ball was the diff ...it finally hit me... their hoops team parallels their football team. ..now...as, like their FB, they have no power game... just a lot of finesse and quick hitting ...almost gone from the way that basketball is anymore, is the big man play...now, it's more of dribble drive and dish...sometimes attack the hoop...this is the Ducks...well...on they go to take on the Blue Devils of Duke ...hmmm... From the super elation of winning by a 1/2 court shot, but two days prior...to the ultimate humiliation of blowing a 12 point lead in the final 4...

Think how ridiculous the "selection committee" did their job...I am a huge doubter...no better example than the seeding of the darlings, most every year, of the west... the Gonzaga Bulldogs ...affectionately called "the Zags" ...a non-football U...that, placed in the very cold climate of the northwest part of the state of Washington...in Spokane... imagine the sales pitch by the recruiters for the school to get their guys there... Well now... the Zags have danced into the sweet 16...upsetting, make that "upsetting?" their latest victim...the over-hyped Pac 12 Utah Utes ...once called the "Redskins" ...take note Washington NFL Team...showing the hoops world that the real value is in the winning of games in their respective leagues...not the so called "power leagues", where so many teams make the T out of reputation... just a smashing win ...and on they go...power to the people, right on...
