Talk about your celebration of the big win...the Repubs had this gathering in Nashville to honor the best in the music biz...well, now, CH is just a fooling you...Country Music Awards...and for the most part, it is the best hosted of all the award shows...what?...Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood...their 7th time?...and like most good hosts, make light of the current happenings...

The show itself, isn't that bad...as the singers sing...I don't think they lypsinc much, if at all...the outstanding group in all of music is Little Big Town...which did sing a song with the way over-hyped Miranda Lambert...and drowned her out...as THEY really can...oh yea, Ms Lambert won most everything she is in...hmmm...just don't get it...

Kind of a got a feeling that most of them rich cats are from the south...and have elephants in their rooms...and are tickled that their party took over the senate...and yet, they still must thank their demo fans for their support...what?...I digress...

Anyway, it was a good one...and worth the 3 hours of taping...by the way, NOBODY is better than Carrie...NOBODY!...

The Clip joint traveled up to Oakland and took on the Warriors...an absolute destruction...as GS is dang good...and with an even better coaching staff than last (which I liked, too)...are on a tear...they have so many shooters and even better, the freedom to shoot it...a top 4 team...LA is not...despite whatever you read from the supposed "experts"...believe Crazy Horse on this...

You did see that LeBron and the Cavs put in a strong effort in Utah...he scored like 30 something...and yet...they got beat at the buzzer...trouble in Cleveland...and we all like to see the dismantling of the best player in the game...I guess we do...more to this story...

With the football rankings out it is time for the pundits to weigh in...and the east coast blokes are P-d off...how dare the group include a west coast team...you must have a Big Ten team in there...still a month to go, and anything can happen...calm down boys, let it unfurl...and...if the Ducks run the table,,,they are in...so says me...

I'm not going to lie to you...it's great wearing shorts and flip flops all the time...whatever that means...and you do...

That congressional seat down here is still in doubt...they will not do a recount and it is a 500 vote difference...still counting the mail ins and absentee  ballots...

Did you know that the latest figure I saw was that only 46% of the peops voted?...I think that is high...there are only 3 states that vote by mail...we are not one of them...but we filled out a form to do so...it's time to use our technology and make the vote online...as an option...there are those who think that to stand in line and push out the little holes is the only way...balderdash...somebody has to take the reigns and get this done...I say in 6 years...should be in 2...get somebody on it NOW!...

I take the train to my son's place...to play in a T...all good stuff...except I haven't swung a club in 2 weeks...and I am going to use whatever he has there...hmmm...oh well, it's a scramble...and with the way the guys are on our team hit their drives...I have to pitch and putt it...I CAN do that...

Landslide

And the voter's have spoken...a change is needed...bewildering to moi...and I am absolutely ashamed of all the Demos who SHUNNED the Prez...didn't want his help...and now...are out of office!...good!...they don't deserve the spots...as I said yesterday, we are way better off than we were prior to Prez O taking over....

BUT...the lobbyists have convinced the incumbents with an incredible amount of $...and thus, direction...the only tactic they used was the negative ads...how'd that work for you?...and yet...there is no clear front runner for the Repub side of the president...

The Senate has been taken over by the elephants...and they deserved it...and now...let's see where this leads...

Moving on...

The College T peops put the Ducks at number 4...and in!...have to win out and there is a great chance that they will make the final 4...great news!...and on to Utah to face a tough one...it's all good...

The Blazers beat up the Lebron led Cavs...and I mean stomped...the positive?...the way PDX played the pick and roll...used the old Nate McMillan switch...it's better than what they had been doing...5 guys beat 3...Cleve?...as I have said all along, their PG Irving, is not that good...got outplayed by Lillard...and James...hmmm...lost a lot of weight...and played lethargically...and so did the rest of the team...weird stuff...and a great win for Rip City!...

Don't hate me, but we got a new Xmas tree yesterday...when you can get it for 50% off...and hopefully, all the lights work on this one...will put it up during the TGiving weekend...now that's GREAT planning...

Heading up north (SB) for a golf T...and with my son...so looking forward to it...and have to get out and bang balls today...

Election Day

Probably the most confusing of all the election days, is this one...where we are in the mid year...I guess that's what you call it...the other time...when the masses do not vote for the Prez...but all the other spots that are up for grabs...the Senate majority is in doubt for the Demos...who right now control it...

If you can believe the analysts...which in this arena, I tend to...the Repubs are taking the critical seats back...and will be the party in power...and whoa, the rumor is that the Demos are NOT asking Prez O for help...that he would be a hindrance...dang if that's not odd...

Are we not better off than before he took over?...the stock market is way up...we are not battling the evils on the ground everywhere...the unemployment numbers have bettered...and the gasoline prices have dropped...well, I had to give you something tangible...yet, somehow, the Conservatives have scared the heebie jeebies out of a lot of peops...don't get it...

Thank goodness this day is here...as the revolting attack ads will be quelled for a few years...the $ spent on 'em is legendary...have to admit, it was much worse in Oregon...really....the TV stations must have loved the income...

AND...there are fewer and fewer people reading the written word in a newspaper...more of 'em are getting the news either from the web net or the TV...my guess is that the bulk are tube junkies...so much easier to just turn on the video and veg...not moi...I lurve the paper...but, I don't like the conservative editors...who have to be a dying breed, so to speak...

Which leads me to this...who do you get your voting "guide" from?...used to be the printed word...or from your church...how many peop still go to one?...hmmm...and TV's are reluctant to go to a side...well, FOX, is the exception...there are talk radio blokes...who really are out there...and DO HAVE a following...

How many people actually vote?...less than 50% usually...think about that...all your ups and downs are determined by less than half the masses...hmmm....are you digging this?...it's a reality...so when you get to the point about whether or not to cast yours....get off your rosy red...get to the booth, or stick on a stamp and let YOUR voice be heard...well, your check mark...if you don't, you are letting someone else dictate what is going to happen...

And...at least you get to see the numbers...unlike the reality show voting...just believe us on the results, they say...imagine that for our political votes...I digress...

Morning kids...we are BACK!...from a great weekend trip up north to the great northwest...our hosts, the Snookis were great...met up with a lot of peops in a very short time...all way cool...the reason for the season was the Duck game....which Snooki had invited me to...and it was a doozy...

UO has beat Stanford twice in the last 4 years....and ahem, moi, has been there...the only two that were W's...good luck charm?...I am saying yes...maybe the University should be flying me around to keep the streak alive...

I must say the the QB Mariota, er, whatever the spelling is... to borrow the Bachelorette's word, AMAZING!...he passes and runs incredibly well...and us Duckee fans, have a special treat as to watch him in action...you can too...

3 regular games to go...at Utah, home versus Colorado, and then, the Civil War...at OSU...great opps to finish nicely...one at a time kids...one at a time...

Alas, the AP still is not a total believer in the Duckees, however....as they are still ranked 5th in the country...this time, Alabama, passed them up...let's see how the actual Tourney Committee votes tomorrow...I see UO as number 4 by them...

We arrived there in a downpour and left in one...the rest of the time was nice...and the trip, by Alaska Air, was but 2 hours...very nice...a sidelight...the airlines are trying everything they can to have all bags checked...as most peops are doing the carryon thinger...their ploy is to offer seating first for those who check their bags...we didn't...it's very convenient to grab 'em and run...otherwise, pack a bigger bag...but it costs to do so...

Well...we backed out of the Vegan Class...and did get some severance pay for the move...ah hem, it is a good thing....as I became very bitter in the aftermath...and the reluctance to go again...everyone, I mean everyone in Salem...thought the plant based theory has a lot of holes in it...

You Bolt fans...your patience is being tested....as the 3rd straight loss...and in Miami...a 37-0 shellacking...1st time in 15 years to be blanked...doesn't sit too well...a pathetic effort...really...FOX even went to another game...ha ha...now, a bye...much needed...

I had my doubts about my FF team...as my QB Rodgers was in a bye week...and had the 49ers Kap going...bad...and then the Broncos were at NE, where they never win...bad...and the RB from the Bolts was part of that pathetic event...bad...bam!...a loss for me...boo...

Well, I have to pick up where we left off...get some grub...we are out...and this is the first of the month...which means paying the bloody bills...pooh...

But...it is nice being back in warm weather....
