Saturday ramblings

Image
Hell hasth no fury as a woman scorned...or something like that...the bizarre story of Tiger Woods and his car accident at 2:35 in the am...at his mansion...turn over to TMZ and get their take on it...what? Hey, I told you the PDX Blazers have played a soft schedule thus far...and they play no defense...lowly Memphis, with ZBo aboard, thrashed the home team, and...the papers are saying the Blazers lost due to cold shooting...what? BSU took it to Nevada at Idaho in the miserable rain and cold...surely they get in the top 10, right? I ask you again, is Boise a state? What? Big story around here...USC and UCLA...what? For you Salemites, how about them Titans! 2 games to go and they are the 6-A champs...they do score a bunch of points... I am the kings of 3 putts...now I even listen to the guys who takes 5 shots to get to the green...what? We want to go see a good movie...any suggestions? For such a warm climate the San Diegans sure put on a beautiful Xmas face... Here in the GQ, all the...

Native American Heritage Day

Image
Aw come on, we were here first! How can we share this day with Black Friday? Those bloody Broncos figured out how to beat the Giants...put pressure on L'il Manning and he'll fold like a cheap suit...dang I'm surprised that more of you don't fight with me about my evaluation of Brandon Roy... The Rebels finally got rid of their underachieving coach, Mike Sanford, and he coaches his last game...of course against the Aztecs...@UNLV... And for my pix...48-12 on the season... SDS over UNLV...the spread favors the outgoing coach at home...I don't think so... OKY St over Oky...I'm going against the points again... Navy over Hawaii...love that offense USC over UCLA...waffled here as the Bruins actually have a chance Stanford over ND...as you know, not a fan of Chas... The teams that didn't make it...BSU and Nevada...WSU and UDub... I'm reading Teddy Kennedy's True Compass...the Kennedy's were kept out of the loop of the JFK assassination...I personally ...

The Zoo

Image
So what do the parents do when the son goes north for Thanksgiving? Well we go to the zoo...take the narrated tour bus and wallow in the gorilla area...such a beautiful park and it makes you feel so good... Pity the poor foo...talking about the Nets with the manager as a coach...OMG, what a mess...they got whupped by the Blazers last night for their 15th straight loss...by the way, Brandon Roy will not be a top 10 player until he starts to play any defense...everything you teach to play D, he doesn't do...just zone in on him and watch his lack of effort... As I was walking Sammi this AM, I noticed how happy she was...bouncing up and down with such a perky step...made me realize I'm here for others and not for my selfish feelings... You know, it's been a good long while since we have held a TGiving meal...we are off to the Dude's again...so nice that they have us over... I'm hoping for a huge breakout game from Tony Romo today... Have a great day everyone!

Thanks

Not on this network...

Image
You won't be seeing this "Charger Ball" on the cable network in the SD area this Sunday due to a probable "black out!"...in collegiate and high school games, the fans may have a white out, a red out, a something out...but not a "not in your area" out...the NFL has a provision that if your area does not sell out it's local stadium, the game can't be shown locally...that's the dilemma this Sunday as the Bolts host the KC Chiefs (sic) and there are 7,000 tix yet to be bought...by the way, who put the spelling of dilemma together? The MVP of the AL was Joe Mauer, catcher of the Twins, in a landslide...I'm a believer that the winner should be from the pennant champ... Did you catch last night's Monday nighter? A lot of emotion by those teams as Tennessee continues it's climb from the nightmare 0-6 start...a kick wins it and a kick loses it...that's why they call it FOOTball...weird as all these huge human beings beat each other ...

AMA's

Image
Well...it's hard to fathom a worse conglomeration of songs that were sung last night at the AMA's...the clear winner in all the festivities was Taylor Swift, fresh off of sweeping a similar bunch of awards last week at the CMA's...but she was in London, and the peops left were trying to outdo each other in very unflattering methods...1st of all is rap finally gone bye bye? If it's not, what on earth was that stuff last night?...most all the gals were very boring, except Carrie, and tried to dance more than sing...and for all the hype that Adam Lambert got...what was that mess he put out? Where is his agent? A huge step backward for a lot of singers in my book... A step forward for the Bolts as they dismantled the Broncos...I fear for Denver the early euphoria has got the best of them...did you see that Oakland and KC won against formidable foes in Cincy and Pitt?...NFL, go figure...anyway, the Chargers are on top... Another huge step is that the Dux moved into the BS...

Dux Win, Dux Win

Image
It was a classic game for sure...the Dux outlasted the Arizona Wildcats in double OT and got the much needed win...AZ was everything I imagined and had their opps. to get the win...a fun game to watch...even more fun with the Dux victorious...the Beavs kept pace with an expected win at WSU...AND NOW, the Civil War game is for the right to go to the Rose Bowl...very cool stuff...I think it's the 1st time in the 103 year history that this is the situation... I was 4-1 on my pix and am 48-12 on the season...I'd like to see anyone match that anywhere...the Bear upset the Cardinal for my only loss...go figure Notre Dame lost also in double OT to UConn and it may mean the loss of their coach, too...if he stays, he's just too expensive to let go...that'll show them... The Bolts at Denver...another big one and it's for 1st place in the west... American Music Awards tonight...always an interesting look at the latest...GLambert is performing and I am curious yellow...what doe...
