I just can't see anything that changes me mind.... Duke is the odds on favorite...well, in my scatter brained one...they popped the bubble of Purdue last night...and really didn't play that well...the thud that you heard was St. Mary hitting rock bottom in their awful effort to Baylor ...the surprise Vols of Tennessee beat Ohio St ....and Mich St. kept the Big Ten hopes alive with a narrow win over Northern Iowa ... Here we go...my picks for the elite eight... Butler over KSU, Kentucky over West Virginny, Mich St. over Tennessee, and Duke over Baylor... do not bet the farm on these... The LPGA has set it's roots out at La Costa and Michelle Wie has gotten in position to win... The Pads won again!!! Did you see where your Sarah helped John McCain is his tough struggle in Arizona?  What? Lefty wormed his way into contention in Florida... I'm outta paint and hitting the links...

I was going back on my notes and looked at what I had said about the Bulldogs of Butler ...they had a bunch of wins and are sneaking under the radar...not anymore!  Knocking off Syracuse , a team that was not going to win it all...you have to play more D than what they do...good on Butler as they are officially cinderella ...and take a look at what that young 33 year old coach has done in 3 years at the school...he could write a contract anywhere now... What a beaut of a game as the mean coached KSU survived in double OT against the well drilled Xavier squad...Prez O's pick moves on... Kentucky in a breeze as was West Virginny .... The LPGA is out at La Costa...I have a notion to mosey out there on Sunday... The Blazers won a big one over the Mavs in PDX last night...you can't imagine the diff Port is with Camby roaming in the post area...virtually tied for 7th now...they must stay out of 8th, as that's the Lakers opponent.... Pads won again....10 of the last...

Well, I'm back from the desert...and what has happened in my absence?  Outside of the obvious garbage from who's cheating on who...the Pads are quietly establishing themselves as a force in the Cactus ...winning 9 of it's last 11...good stuff here as I see it...the prep for the sweet sixteen is upon us...is there a set of upsets in the offing?  Or maybe, just one?  The house narrowly passed the health bill and sets the stage for your senators to battle it out...I sorta watched the Idol players...it's still the top 3 of Crystal , the Screamer , and Goldilocks ...did you watch your Dancing ?  Oh my, Pamela was the clear winner...well, I'm kind of kidding, but the people want to see her...some good ones in the mix...I think it's the singer with Derek that will be the fav...it was so good to see Sammi and get back into the swing of things...I haven't cooked for a while and have the itch...but, alas, haven't been to the super yet... enjoy the playoffs...

If you look back a week or so you'll see I said that Kansas will not win the Big Dance ...last night Northern Iowa rocked the Jayhawk world with a stunning V...equal size and a bit better in the guard play spelled doom...or, elation for the Panthers...of course papers across the land will show dejected KU players in lieu of the victors...the dwelling on the negative sells papers and TV time... St. Mary's (or Australia East) knocked off another Big Easter, Villanova ...and poof, there goes the stupid scribes picks... UDUB looked masterful in a romp over New Mexico ... Kentucky may be the one....even though I hate the cheater coach...Prez O's KSU beat up on BYU...another coach I don't like... Duke , Gonzaga , and Cal go today...by the way, the Zags are 7 point dogs to the last East hopeful, Syracuse... OK kids, off to the desert for a 4 days period of golf, sun , and foooood ....
