OK, here are my highly calculated pix in the semi's of the NFL playoffs...OK, and it's time to get out and bet the other way...if you are so inclined...I say never, ever, bet on the NFL... The Steelers over the Jets ...oh so close, in a cold one...I hear no snow...their D is just too much for QB Sanchez, the achilles heal for NY... Da Bears over the Pack ...another swarming defensive effort... Actually it came down to the green teams losing... Can you believe the recovery of the congress woman ( Gabby Giffords ) from Tucson?  Absolutely the most remarkable thing I have ever heard...so pulling for her... Nobody, nobody, watches the PGA unless Tiger or Lefty are playing... Keith O fired from MSNBC ...what?  I thought he quit a year ago... Regis is out...behind the scenes was he was offered less for the next year....and at 79, he didn't have to take that crap... Gosh, I haven't played golf for 2 weeks now...letting the sod on the course recover...pas...

Say what you will about whether PDX is the best in the NBA...they are not...but they are fun to watch, play with passion, run the floor, and are getting what they can from some undersized guys...AND...they seem to be good fellas, not bums...I especially lurved Rudy last night...and LA had a very solid night...and outside of some lazy D by their guards, they have shown improvement in that area, too....coach Nate has done a much better job...I got to watch the Blazers the last 2 nights... I can't think of a team that has been hit by the injury bug more than them...Oden, BRoy, JoeP, and now MCamby...and the other guy?  The other big guy?  Can't remember his name... Torrey Pines hosts the tour next week...both Lefty and Tiger are in...you can imagine the buzz about it...I plan on going out with about 25 grand others...you get to see them play 2 or 3 holes...there is a huge crowd following 'em... I'm making stuffed french toast this am, any takers?

I like the new panel...much better than the previous regime... Steven Tyler is a huge breath of fresh air...and funny... JLo was just fine...I didn't miss the mess they had last year...and it's all about the panel anyway, isn't it?  Yea, dawg... SDS escaped a gallant effort by the Air Force , who played as well as they could...great game plan that stretched out the Aztecs as far as they could...still...20 straight...and the biggest game thus far on the horizon...at BYU next Wednesday...the test of the season...really looking forward to it... Have I been telling you about the demise of the Lakers ...another drop at Dallas , who had lost 6 straight themselves... Fisher is out of whack... slow M-O-T-I-O-N ...in fact, he is slower than your QB fav, Favre... PDX whupped (?) the Kings in OT...horrible officiating, by the way...I can't get fined for saying what is the truth...which I always tell... NFL... the line in each game has risen to 3 1/2... The TV world, based primarily in NY, is extremely happy that their Jets have moved on to the semi-finals of the NFL...how about you?  Do you give a dang about them?  They had this HBO show at the beginning of the year...talked trash to anyone that would listen...had a set of bizarre happenings (foot fetish, for one)...denied the coverup of the lineup...just a bunch of crap, that won't go away...unless you are from NY, who mysteriously, doesn't talk about this...but the old Favre garbage they do...east coast scribes... The Pack vs. the Bears...great game on the docket...passion each way on this...Green Bay has always had their small town appeal....and...once a cheese head always one....and da Bears...Chi-town's own...I'm leaning towards the home team dog on this... CNN has released a poll that has your gurl Sarah has hit her all time low...now watch Fox come up with theirs and it'll say the opposite... Do you watch Bill Maher on HBO?  Just started his new seaso...

One of my least favorite politicians of all time...and I could name a few during the Vietnam era...is your former VP Dick Cheney...and I thought he was a very evil guy...and for some reason, somebody is actually printing what he thinks...oops, it looks like I am, too...dang...anyhoo, he is being quoted as he thinks Prez O will be a one term prez...at least he wasn't like Dick...I guess, for equal time...but I thought that was the reasoning for your gurl Sarah getting the air time...whatever... NBA...I know it's hard to get excited about a single game when you play 82 of them in the regular season, but the Wolve's coach should have his heart checked...and, sorry, Kevin Love, he would be a second stringer for any other team in the league...wow, I actually saw Kobe dunk the ball last night....been awhile...and the Spurs continue to rip through everybody, and nobody talks about it...it's all about the Heat... I am not a seer of the NFL...in fact, I'm turrible...not a fan of them Jets....and voila!  They whup the Pats...at NE...and, Seattle at Chi-Town in the snow...fugget about it... So, let's see...the Jets vs. the Steelers and the Bears vs. the Pack...stay tuned as I'm sure I'll pick the wrong ones... I have been talkin for the last month about the demise of the Lakers...got beat last night at home (well, it was the Clips turn) to the other LA team...and...a minor scuffle in the last seconds, got a bunch of the boyz booted...ho hum...everyone was out on the floor milling about...except, Coach Phil, who didn't budge from his perch on the bench...kind of funny if you see the clip... And the inevitable trade of Melo...he and Chauncey sit in the 4th Q of their loss at SA...how'd you like to have $ on that game?  Smelly pumpkin... Your Golden Globes...the host Ricky Gervais...why?  I suppose their is a forum for his type of Don Rickles humor...but over the top...s...

Again...I get only half of them right...good lord, the Packers looked like a million bucks as they thoroughly destroyed the hapless Falcons...and what's with the prevent D Atlanta ran?  NOBODY does that anymore...I can remember way back when we went to a Duck/BYU game that the Cougars had no chance of winning and Oregon went into the prevent...and got picked apart...in the 70's....I have never forgot it...boo Falcons... And...Pitt is super tough...great game...major hitting... OK...today...Seattle over Chi-town...I know I changed my mind on this...and SD over...oops, we're not in it...and NE over the audacious Jets...enough of the garbage that the NY team throws out... Huuuuggggeee win at New Mexico for the Aztecs!  19 in a row and counting... USD, on the other hand, is perfectly awful, in their home loss to USF... The pick six was hit for $116,000 yesterday at Santa Anita...not by me... Do you like your Golden Globes?  Always nice to see the pretty people lookin...
