The opening round of the Big Dance is happening...and look what we have here... UPSETS! ... or, are they? ...this Pandemic has scurried what is real and what is not in the sporting world...just the fact that teams are playing is a minor, er, major occurrence...right?...the 'normal' early season tourneys...are gone...so, to try to compare leagues, is a HUGE guessing game ...the 'pundits' have been saying all season long, about the country dominance of the Big Ten...based on what?...I dunno...there is no country dominance in this year of years... So many 'power house' teams of the Big Ten are already OUT ...including the one that I had winning it all, due to the humongous amount of ESPN Expert's opinions... Ohio State ...ha ha...well, I am very frank about this...at least I say 'I know nuttin' ...two other games jumped out at moi...the Oregon St Beavers in a smashing win over Tennessee...how many people had that other than Bevo fans?...and Syracu...

I thought I was going to let it just pass by...but, the UCLA / Michigan St tourney game got me right back into the swing of the MARCH MADNESS! ...imagine these two once elite programs, battling in a fray that is considered a 'play in' game ...of course, this Pandemic has affected all parts of life as we know it...in sports, too...duh...regardless, it was a fun game to watch...not great hoops, but mighty competitive...and it went to OT...as the Bruins came out of it victorious ... Find it downright humorous to see these top ranked coaches...the 'legends' of the game...get downright giddy with frustration ...jump all over the place...yell and scream at their players...and the refs...yes, stomp their feet...sit and design plays on the spot...actually do I dare say 'coach?'...you see kids, the NBA has made recruiting a terrible mess for the colleges ...when the 'stars' only have to play one year of college ball, if at all (note Lamelo Bell, who played none...

Just a terrific snapshot ...of the road from Del Mar towards Torrey Pines St Par k ...this circa the 60's judging by the cars... the Studebaker, the 'Ol Bug ...for youse unknowing...this is in SoCal, down by the infamous Torrey Pines GC...nothing much has changed in this area...except TIME!...wait, the bridge work did improve... so way cool...rad...far out ... How were the celebrations of St Paddy's Day in your area?...in our Gaslamp Q, there appeared to be a near normal to what it was like prior to the Pandemic, a full year ago...if one judges by the television coverage...of course, we did not go down...as many of the 'partiers' have yet to get vaccinated... I can't figure out the hate crime dilemma over the Asian Americans ...why?...who is fostering this?...is this more of the white supremacy crap?...I said that it has been festering in the past couple of months...then listened to people recount stories of their lives...that has been ongoing for...years!.....

Wait, is that sposed to be Saint Patricks's Day?...er, St...well, whatever...according to some...ah, a bloke...it should be for Padraig...thus, the Paddy...hmmm, is that for Padraig Harrington?...now, I am confused...all I know is it is a fun day...wear your green so ya'll don't get pinched...why is that, anyway?... Morning all, we are back! ...had a brief, but fun trip up north to see the kids and their kid ... the grand son...er, grandson ...must say that it is a very exciting time for them...as the good Dr is opening up his brand new office, very, very soon...in Montecito ...a short block down from where the original office stands... The last nite we stayed a few miles away at the Carpenteria St Park ...right on the beach...which turned out to be a prob...they had wind storms and surging...as the sand had covered up all the hook up things that we needed....ah, the latrine hole ...whatever that is called...so, we had to go on a digging expedition...hunting for treasure...ha ha...without a shovel...luckily, the bloke next door, had one...he had to do the same...20 minutes or so later, we had the 'hole'...had to shove the hose down probably 10 ft, to clear a passage way...enough info on this...we got er going... Yes, I promptly ordered a collapsible shovel from Amazon ...which, BTW, was ...

The problem with the Pandemic, as we ALL know, is the lack of getting with the FAMILY ...on all levels...think of the poor people with grandparents in a nursing home...that can only 'touch' through a window... hugging is a lost thing...even congregating with the family in any which way...so, the fact that we ALL have our double dose shots ... we can meet up with OUR FAMILY! ... priceless ...without masks.. .took a year, kids...which donny Q and I could never imagine...the ONLY time I ever agreed with the foo... SDSU not only won the league, the Mountain...but the conference T ...the first time in forever...did you see when they were cutting down the nets, after the win....the coach, did the final cord...and then fell back into the arms of his players...I must say, I would have never attempted such a feat...my guys, woulda dropped me for sure...and, not by accident... And the beat went on!...the Oregon State Beavers WON the Pac 12 Conference T! ...and earned a spot in the ...
