CRAZY HORSE

Here's the deal...so many teams search the entire season for a way to finish off games...take a look at the Heat for example...and along comes the SDS Aztecs who have won all but 2 games...and they have been in a number of close ones...last night in the MWC Tourney they are all tied with the host UNLV Rebs ...with 30 seconds to go and it's the Rebs ball...a stop for SDS and the Aztecs take NO TIMEOUT, cuz they practice this moment over and over...and PG Gay comes down and hits the winning shot...again...they just finish it off...OK, OK, OK...now it's another crack at BYU ...the benefit? Here comes the tricky thing...where do the Aztecs and Cougars (?) get seeded and how high?  Does it make a difference who wins to get a better one?  Only the Big Dance folk know...I think the winner gets a #2 seed, and the loser a #3...as Rodney Dangerfield (remember him?) would say, no respect ... Other notes about what I have seen around the hoop land... the Big East is tough......

Just shocking pictures of the effects of the 8.9 quake in Japan ...the tsunami that has engulfed the entire Pacific Ocean...and now has made it's way to the US of A...as we in SD brace ourselves for whatever comes our way...geez, they are even delaying the start of the Regis/Kelly Show...awesome mother nature...awesome negative...I'll relay anything that happens here... Hoops... SDS whupped up on Utah and gets UNLV in the semi's....pundits say that if the Aztecs win, they'll get a #2 seed in the Big Dance... How about them Ducks !  They beat the Bruins...and wouldn't that be something if they  win the Pac 10 tourney... Pro stuff... the Heat and the Lakers ended each of their streaks as Miami pulled out a much needed win...don't like 'em... Golf... Tiger and Lefty in the same group in the Cadillac in Miami...Woods just is playing tighter than a drum...Phil is  not playing good golf...and the rest of the field is tearing up the course...still, I lur...

The D-1 hoop tourneys are on...and it's the league frays we are watching...the Big East is big, so say the pundits...awful officiating in the final Rutgers/St. Johns seconds...I see the Ducks and Beavs won in the Pac 10...gosh, it is anybody's guess...tonight the Aztecs start in the Mountain...really it's up to you to watch what you want...now, if I were to get serious I'd pay a lot of intention to all of these...you know, the bracket thing... Torrey Pines ...my oh my, it just ate me up...the greens are ridiculous...the rough is so deep...but...I want to go back and do it again...it is def a most beautiful course...now get this, 'cuz I'm a city dweller, it cost me $24...all others pay $100 plus...the North is shorter than the South, but the greens are highly sloped, and they had the pins on the mounds....I'm sure they could have made it much easier... Idol. ..well, I wasn't blown away by any of them...and especially, by the milk toast way the judges...

Is it so much that the Heat played less than good...or was it that the Blazers played good?  Or is that well?  Fact is, it is a combination of the two...the story is PDX beat Miami in Florida...very cool stuff...the positive first...the Blazers moved the ball real well, and their bodies to boot...very little one on one Andre Miller crap...and the bench added the same type of play...the defense was solid...the negative...the Heat don't play defense...the two top players for them, King James and Dwayne, take all their shots...and many are awkward things...and Bosh is NO FACTOR...geez, I'd hate to coach 'em....speaking of that, Portland grown coach Spoelstra, prob is on his way out...prior to the playoffs?  A mess ensuing...er, is that, ongoing... Did you watch your Glee last night?  You won't like what I'm going to say...it's apparent the producers are in lurve with Gwyneth...she's fine, but the driving force on the show is the ensemble...and there was not ...

Is it Phat Tuesday ?  Whatever, but the streets of GQ are shut down for the Mardi Gras in the hood...and it doesn't take a whole lot to get this area a buzz... I can't believe I played golf in the rain ....it came down on us a bunch...and there we were, just a walking in the rain...2 rain suits drenched...foo... Watched the Zags beat St. Mary for the ticket to the Big Dance...they sure have a great history of getting the job done... The Bachelor gals went at it last night...the ones that didn't get picked...they got kind of brutal...too bad, this guy, Reality Steve, somehow gets the scoop before the final show airs...says the Blonde over the Brunette...oops, maybe you didn't want to see that... The Padres ...were on the tube the last 2 nights...any surprises?  Maybin is a marvelous looking athlete...Mosely not too bad, and prob starter number 5...Hawpe is more agile than AG...early, way early... Who said Libya was going to fall in a short time?  It looks...

With the way the so called superstars leave the small market NBA teams to the large ones...it is ruining the league...guys like LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have set a pattern that puts the Cavs, Nuggets, and the like in a desperate mode...the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer...it's the same in MLB with the Pirates, Padres, and the like developing their players until they get too expensive for the area...then move to the $ areas...there is a joke about cap limits for the rich, but it's a farce... And, I find myself pulling against the new founded power house teams, like the Heat...who are getting thumped at a regular rate...maybe that's the master plan... Hey, we haven't been involved in any way with what Libya does...except we buy their oil...and the mess there is on to legendary terms for a troubled dictator... We watched the Housewives of OC last night...ok, give to me...but weren't they the originals?  Oh my, they are the worst...I see no red...

SDS ended the regular season on a great high, rocking Colorado St. by 18...breezing...and now the juggling begins...where do the Aztecs get seeded?  The east coast bias will prevail and the west gets very little...there is talk about the Big East getting 11 of their teams in the Big Dance. ..can you imagine, eleven from one conference!  Santa Anita... Game on Dude wins the Santa Anita Handicap...nice, Dude! Enjoy the sun...
