When this pandemic hit, we had no idea to the extent of what it could be...like ...at first, we were begging for vaccinations ... HOPE , was on the horizon...and when they finally were available... we would stand in line to get them ...BUT, not everyone felt the same sentiments...I am telling you nothing new... the masks, the social distancing, the inside closures ...all came with...the spread of disease is one of the truly remarkable, yet extremely negative, aspect of human beings... over many many years, it has been as deadly as the wars that the politicians get us into ... VARIANTS , come out of the original virus...and it has it's own 'life'...or death ...still, why people don't get vaccinated, when it is readily available IS BEYOND ME! ...some try to follow the word of trump, some are just plain skeptical, some are following religious zealots comments and guidings, and some are afraid of a needle...did I leave anything out?... Is there HOPE?... I will do the Afgha...

One of the many things that get lost on a 20 day RV trip, is what day it is...day of the week ... 'seems like a Tuesday'...no, 'more like a Sunday' ...reality is, you don't know...it's just the next stop on the tour...er, excursion...a tour would be like a singer, right?... Speaking of singers ...I want you all to go to wherever your music source is...and listen to Brenda Lee's Greatest Hits ...forever, I thought that she was a country lass...but listening to her, she could easily pass for a 50's pop gal...which she did, and in the 60's, too.... some absolute great songs, that I wish Carrie or Sara would cover ...just for another take on 'em... A day off for the struggling Friars ...much needed, I might add...as we all search for some live arms that may be brought up to help this team...did see video of the highly acclaimed, but no show Mackenzie Gore ...looked good to moi...did you realize that in their (MLB franchises) cost saving venture...th...

Oh my, if there was ever a misnomer, this is the one... World Humanitarian Day ...as the chaos in Afghanistan continues...those who can, get out...but, to where?...Europe has taken on so many others, that have fled the Middle East...they are balking at more...of course, the forevers are ranting about the possibility of them in our shores...Canada?...maybe the better terminology is World Migration Day ... How many American lives have been lost in Afghanistan? .. .estimated at 2500 soldiers...and get this, over 4000 US civilian contractors! ...which was triggering Prez B to finally pull the plug on a very precarious 20 year encampment of US people there...the debate is on about how and when...to end this mess...what else what you call it?... As that country returns...digresses...to a very bizarre and disturbing way of mankind...the suppression of women...the lack of need for schooling...unless it is for religion...brutal dictatorship... Talk about nonsense...one of the Ball Bros ... they...

Never too late, right?...I am a bit TARDY today, kids...actually, got up at 6ish and had an early tee time...you know the drill ...the news is filled with the normal, ah, abnormal...the foul stuff in Afghanistan...the ongoing mess of the non-vaccinated people in our country...and the heat of the weather.... One of the reasons I do like the CBS Morning Show, is that they give us many positive takes on life ...searching thru the USA for some good things...unbelievably, there are lots of them...it's just the daily stuff, that the local...and natty news delivers...are the bad things...who killed who, what is the latest from the courts....traffic problems...political debates...'experts' all over the pixels...weather and sports...and who died... If I ran a TV news thing ...one segment would be a local person who makes a difference...a local Congressman would give his or her views on what's going in DC...every day...of course, local sports...and natty sports...the weather...w...

This might antagonize a few of you out there...infuriate?...perhaps...but, I am going to just ask some questions...certainly, the Horse does not have the answers...but, does raise up some highly debatable things...it just seems odd that we haven't heard the 'other' side much...enough of the hype and the prefacing... 1.  Why did it seem that the Taliban retook the country of Afghanistan, without much of a fight by the 20 year government that we helped in place?...did not see vid or pix of battles... 2.  Was the sole ruling body there, defended only by the USA military? ...as in question number one, the former Afghan military, and police, were nowhere to be found...not by any of the reporters there... 3.  The 20 year fight, how many of the USA Presidents washed their hands on what was apparently a fateful outcome?...the departure of the US troops, and a country without a prayer to defend itself... 4.  Is there a plan to assimilate those Afghans who make it out of ...

The brutal scene of the people of Afghanistan trying to get to the airport ... to flee the country that will be retaken by the Taliban ...the words do not do it justice...20 years of establishing a government to help them...how many years did the Russians try, too?... we do not understand nor comprehend, the actions of the Taliban...the dominance and suppression of women...by man, well, their men ...it will return...who do you want to blame for this?...the efforts?...the people that were trying to civilize the nation?...apparently, it was not enough...right?... so eerily similar to Vietnam ... For many many years, the world has seen us, the USA, as the policing country of the entire earth ...no longer... we are not, and should not be ...help, yes...guide, yes...but no, Mitch, bombing them is not the answer...listen, we have enough trouble right here in our borders...we are battling racial divide like we haven't seen since the 50's and 60's...and before...people can be very...

There are no words better, or worse, than hitting ROCK BOTTOM! ...as we have done just that... the mighty (?) Padres have been bombarded by the not so low DBacks in Arizona ...this last game was a doozy...gave up 5 runs in the FIRST!...and to make matters worse, lost to a no-hitter ...all the hype of a super team, gone...to a rookie's first start in the bigs.. .here we go...team meeting...blah blah blah...do these ever work?...we shall see... The Taliban have engulfed K(h...?)abul...deja vu, Saigon? ...they say that they want a peaceful transfer of power ...as we try to get out our people and those who helped us, while we were there...listen kids, taking over a country is one thing...to stay and help a regime, another...how'd that work for South Vietnam?...right...this is truly ROCK BOTTOM! .... BREAKING... Afghan President Ghani has left the country...it is now officially in shambles... For the life of me, and those who still believe in anti-vax ...for us all...I don't...
