With all the countless numbers of mass shootings in OUR country...the one thing that resonated was that there was a ban on assault rifles in OUR state of California...so, we could say at least we were trying...right?...not anymore...back to the wild Wild West we wiggle to...a Federal Court Judge, ah, in San Diego, mind you...just ruled the BAN WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!...that's right, here we go...Judge Benitez, in his rambling 94 page verdict, er decision...damn it all, whatever they call it...let this piece of info out, as he did the ruling...here you go, unedited..."Like the Swiss army knife, the popular AR-15 is a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment."...in the hands of now, whomever wants it...

More NBA...the Clip Joint beat the Mavs in Dallas, to force a game 7...odd series, as the road team has won all the games...Kawhi was sensational, as he scored 45 points...wonder if that shut up Rondo?...so, does the road thing mean, that Dallas is favored in LA?...never ever bet the NBA...

The Wrecking Crew

This may just blow your mind...is that 60's jargon, or what?...when you think you have heard it all, along comes this docu that will knock your socks off...OK, enuff of that...the music...the sounds...the beats...the guitar licks...all done by a group of studio musicians...NOT BY THE FAMOUS BANDS!...it was the era...The Beach Boys, the Phil Spector records, the Association, the Mamas and Papas, the _____...you name 'em, the sound tracks were done by these OTHER dudes, and one gal...who did the music for any of the Sonny & Cher hits?...the Wrecking Crew...perhaps, 20 of them...maybe more, maybe less...the mantra was 'You need a gig?...come join us'...there were 4 or 5 stable ones...that played on most...

Hal Blaine on the drums...Carol Kaye (the ONE gal) on electric bass...Glen Campbell ( yes that one) on guitar...Leon Russell on keyboards...Tommy Tedesco on guitar...yea, that's who did the sounds of those famous Beach Boys hits...on the vinyls...the 'stars' did the vocals, I presume...the real trick for them and the famous bands...was to recreate the music for the live shows...the concerts...

The band...started to dissolve away...when the 'famous' bands...started doing their REAL music...Crosby Stills and Nash led the revolution...

Former VP Pence had a bit of a commentary on his former boss, trump...that 'he and I will never see, eye to eye, on the Jan 6 attempt at...a coup'...well, I added the latter part of that...I mean, donny q had them going after Pence...oh my...been better, if the group of forevers, turned course and got donny on a rail and rode him out of DC...ha ha...'O Brother, Where Art Thou'...like...

Throwback Thursday

I wore me old 'Padres Jacket' out to the golf course yesterday...as one bloke chimed in, 'I see you have jumped on the bandwagon'...no, dude, I am wearing this, as this is the old colors....cuz, THAT'S the way they are playing right now...like the old Padres...notice I said 'they' and not 'we'?...got swept in Cubby land...OK, get on home guys...need some home cooking...got to get Jr back out there...and Grisham, too...enuff of this Pham...the Mets are in town....fingers crossed...

Guess that is somehow Throwback related...but does remind me, of when we arrived in San Diego...immediately got half season tix...for the Padres...and screamed with delight, and sometimes anger at our 3B Kooz...man, we were almost good...really...before arriving and living here, I rarely paid any attention to this team...now, it is in my system for good...or bad...or whatever...can recall having to restrain my son from going scizzo, over a play that Kooz did not make...ha ha...one day, we arrived at the park, and the people behind us, had taped a Kooz baseball card to our seat...hilarious!...

Gosh, out of nowhere, I shot an 81 yesterday...one of my partners, shot a 73...I kind of got in the wind stream of his play...only tweaked my achilles once...and it was a doozy...but, was able to continue...iced...and there we go...

We are pointing towards a trip to Vegas next week...at the Mirage...a getaway...been saving up all my nickels...why is the spelling of nickels that way, and pickles, that?...you English people infuriate and confuse moi...it's odd, but we do a lot of swimming while there...then eat, drink, take in a show, and do some gambling...well, I do...the gambling part...

The government is raising the price of a stamp to 58 cents...we (the lil wurman) buys forever stamps...who sends letters anymore?...I get bills (bloody) and real estate crap (sorry Marsh), and very little else sent my way...everything else comes via the email...which I get bombarded with, that funnels into a promotions file...thus, I rarely see 'em...just delete...a gallon of petrol is over $4...especially here in Cali, as we tax the Hell out of it...bread is now about that, too...listen, to combat the latter, when you go to Vons (Safeway, elsewhere)...their own bread is fantastic...and much cheaper...worth the stop...yea, so, I am complaining about pricing and am heading to Lost Wages...falling on deaf ears...

You know, I don't think that adding HAPPY to Memorial Day is appropriate...do you?...the honor of those who have died for the country...in battle...just doesn't seem to be a joyous situation...tributes?...you bet...remember them?...yes...dedicate things and places to them?...why not?...tributes?...OC...parades?...yup...

Listen, you do not have to agree with the battles they were in...ah, Viet Nam...but they were doing what they were ordered...for the USA...and all of the wars of the past...I dig deeper, that if you were a soldier, sailor, marine, anyone who fought for us....and PREPARED for that...I honor you, too...

180* here...the mighty Padres...virtually out of it in their Saturday game at Houston...down 6-1 late...these Friars have no quit in them...highlighted by a 2 out, 3 run home run by Jr, in the 9th...that ties the game up...so, off we go to another OT...Wil hits another 3 run dinger in the 12th...win number 34, which leads the MLB...we have never had a squad like this in south SoCal...yup, fun...

As were them Beach Boys...fuggit about Love/Johnston's ages...they have plenty of life left in them...terrific show...the venue leaves something to be desired...we had great seats, but still were a tad bit away from the stage...and, we walked...the achilles is bad, kids...I will not lie to you...the steps home, were excruciating...the Horse is more like an old gray mare...

On the way there, we did stop and try (by recommendation of the Fishers) the drinks and food at the Whiskey House...it was good, and cheapish...and split up the journey to the ball park...er, the concert...did I mention that it was packed?...
