The Masters

Taking over the weekend in the golf world...The Masters...the field is bunched at the top, with so many 'stars' there...Koepka, DJ, Ian, Scott, Lefty, Francisco, Day, Rahm, Harding (?), and of course, the sentimental fav of them all, Tiger...all lurking...today is called 'moving day'...in this T of T's, every hole is like that...figure that they will get some thunderstorms...both days...so, do I have a prediction for ya?...nope...pictured here is the King...

It's all about the shaping of shots...escaping the bunkers...staying out of the creeks...and making PUTTS!...hmmm, sort of sounds like all golf course strategies...ha ha...but, this one is the crown prince of them all...if you are a Master's winner, you are gold...forever...

CBS will do the honors for the last two days...ESPN carried it the first two...hmmm, does CBS own ESPN?...in this day and age, of companies swallowing up others, it would not surprise moi...

The other thang going on...is the beginning of the ever lasting NBA Playoffs...I lurve hoops...but, the elongated season of theirs, is too much...yea, but I will watch some...especially the west ones...my favs?...the Warriors and the Blazers...you know that...my wish is that the Rockets get upset...just HATE their style of play...but my bet, would be on them to win it all...yessiree Bob...

Did catch up on the ACM Award Show...DVR'd it...Reba, Blake, Carrie, and Little Big Town were good...but, the rest?...egads, some mighty questionable talent...some were downright awful...Maren Morris was so off key, it was embarrassing...you know, we hear better sanging on Idol...it's all in the agents, who get these pseudo stars the gig...

How about them Padres!...another W in the desert...2-1...beating a pitcher that causes them fits...a curve ball bloke...as we are now 2 up in the west...what?...wake me up before I go go...'something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear'...

Odds and ENDS...

The LaLa Lakers just cleaned house...well, sort of...Magic quit...then HC Luke Walton did, too...the rumor is that the former coach of the Cavs, when LeBron was there...Tyron Lue, is in line...you see, James can do whatever he wants with him as HC....listen, kids, LeBron is on the down slide...the team is a MESS!...

Not sure how I feel about this...at the Masters...Zach Johnson, inadvertently swung and hit the ball...it traveled like 10 feet...no penalty...he got to replace the pelota and do it all over again...is that the same  if one putts?...accidentally nudges the ball in the practice swing?...of course, in his group was Matt Kuchar...isn't he always in the group that has controversy?...

Still in Augusta...Tiger, in the woods...ha ha...the rain had made the area a muddy pickle...he hit a terrific shot, as he and all his crowd, raced to see the result...one of his security dudes, running to protect him from his faithful, slipped into Tigers ankle...a near catastrophic moment...he was fine...the shot hit the green...and he made birdie...for youse in my age bracket, an 'Arnie type'...

Trump wants to name Ivanka as the World Bank leader from the USA, cuz she's good with numbers...I kid you not...

What is wrong with this?...our judicial system...Lori Laughlin...the star is going to be made an example of...the college bribing to get their kid in...rumors are that she may get 40 years in prison...40!...give me a break...there are so many more important matters out there than this...how about starting with the colleges who take the cash...or, who allow in, athletes with no grades to back their entrance...the list of stuff goes on and on...but prison?...c'mon, judges, get real...

Back to Trump...he figures if he sends the 'illegals' to democratic cities, he will show them...make the cities change their mind...and vote for Captain Chaos...in 2020...

Jason Day, Master's hopeful, lamenting about his forever back pain...looked for support from his wife...as she told him, 'toughen up, I birthed 3 kids...you have no idea what pain is'....love that...

Friday Follies

Cheers, my good friends...I am BACK from the desert!...a rousing 3 days of what some people call GOLF...with me closest 28 amigos...that share the same passion...must say, the weather was divine...80 something, without any winds...albeit, the first day not so much...gusts up to 50 mph, as my group finished up...but, the next two, near perfection...I will say this, that the course was fun...in great shape...but, they ruined the path that the Horse was on...way too many bunkers...Bozo Golf...no, really...

Got back into town to watch the latest version of the San Diego Padres...who, mind you, are in the position that they are unaccustomed to...in FIRST place in the west...a rousing win in 'Zona...as the relief boyz were on a rest...the normal dudes that is...so, there were chuckers out there, that I had no idear who they were...blew a 6-1 lead...weathered it all, as Margot hit a dinger to get the W...'something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear'...

The Masters...saw the finish of the 2nd groups of blokes...scoring was better in the afternoon...ie, Koepka, DJ, Lefty, amongst others...Tiger was in the am, at -2...all in all, the start was a beaut...Augusta, is that a picture perfect piece of land, or what?...whatever, it is great viewing...really good golfers playing a game the way it should be played...

Disturbing news out of Trump land...if true...ha ha...that he was demanding that his, make that HIS, Homeland Security, shall send the 'illegals' to sanctuary cities...to combat those Demos who are fighting his passage of HIS Trump Wall...it was fought and rejected...his now hatchet man, the bloke I wrote about last, Stephen Miller, was doing the dirty work...the go between...find it...read about it...listen, I was around a lot of staunch Republicans this past 3 days...and there is NO WAY you can tell them anything about politics...well, they are believers of the party, regardless of whom is leading it...oh my...cherries to them...

The Horse has told you to watch for Pete Buttigieg...ah hem...yes, I told you first...remember this...the polls (hate the polls) have him moved up to 3rd in the Demos race...

You notice the sudden rise of the cost of gasoline?...no fanfare, nuttin'...just happened...what's the deal?...the middle east pissed at our dealings, or lack thereof, with them?...I dunno....but I don't like it...

The latest store, starting to close their doors?....Bed Bath and Way Beyond...man, soon the only ones left will be....Target, Costco, Walmart, and Amazon...

Got a Face Time call from a buddy in Maui...staying at our resort hotel there...just called to rub it all in me face, I reckon...just not fair, I say...

Be Aware

With all of the hirings and firings that go on in this chaotic administration, there is one bloke who remains...and calls many of the shots, behind the scenes...probably his biggest plum, is the idea of separation of families in the border crisis...his name?...Stephen Miller...listen, he is right up there with the dynamic duo of Jared and Ivanka...if ya'll don't believe me, read about him...and them...I think that it will bring chills up your spine...want more?...find some of his interviews and listen to the bloke talk...

Well now, this am, the AG Barr is going to be answering questions of some very interested people on the Congressional floor....right before he MAY release another version (his?) of the Mueller Report...the grilling may be very thought provoking...

Trump has done a lot of firing in the past couple of days...not only the Homeland Gal, but others...including the Secret Service guy...and others...the hidden (not so much) is that Captain Chaos ordered the southern border SHUT a couple of weeks ago...and the people in charge disagreed...did not do it...and they are now GONE...rumor mill, is that one of the main architects behind this movement...is this Miller bloke...be AWARE, kids...be very aware...

Terrific finish to the guys Big Dance...OT win for Virginny...yup, either team (Texas Tech, too) deserved to host the trophy for the WIN...I will say, that both of these squads play stifling defense...like playing Roche's teams up in Orygun...you fellow coaches know exactly what I mean...but not as many flops, ha ha...

The Padres...got behind 5-0...and in years past...that was it...a throw away game...another loss...prepare for the next one...NOW, NO!...the Friars fought back and actually won it...beating the highly heralded MadBum of them Giants...in the Bay Area, mind you...I keep telling ya, 'there is something going on here...what it is, is not exactly clear...'

In the courts...the 2 lady movie and TV stars...are being scared into possible prison time for the $ bribing for getting their kids into college...fine 'em, fine...jail 'em, no...the collegiate system is mighty frayed...in many areas...some things, like this...get way too much attention...

Ever wonder why the rich politicians NEVER want their taxes exposed?...ah, what do they have to hide?...is it that they actually DON'T PAY taxes?...loopholes all over the place?...Trump is trying his legal best, to get his locked up and out of the public scrutiny...

Skipping and Flipping

The ever present danger zone, of the southern border of the United States of America...continues to dominate the mind of Captain Chaos...can't get his new Trump Wall on the agenda...has continually been frustrated over the separation of families that have crossed over...and does what he always does...fires whoever is in charge...get 'er done...

The lady, Kirstjen Nielsen, had a sit down with Donny...comes out of it, and announces that she is resigning...hmmm, I guess that is NOT a firing....if you are keeping track of the numbers...Director of Homeland Security...former, that is...who is next?...rumors abound it may be a bloke who is more 'aggressive'...exactly what we need, right Doc?...

Close your eyes on your stocks today, kids...the Futures were down quite a bit...the culprits?...Boeing and GE...what?...

The cherry pie...are you one of them that lurve your pies?...Marsh is not, but claims she is the best at making crusts...apparently, a wasted talent, don't you think?...as the Horse loves them pies a lot...sure, cherry...lemon meringue...pecan...french apple...french(?)...dutch apple, that's it...chocolate cream...man, this is not fair...

You know who made that song famous, 'Cherry Pie?'...none other than the duo, Skip and Flip...of course, you knew that...1959...ha ha...these dudes were quiet the pair...their real names were Clyde Battin (Skip) and Gary Paxton (Flip)...they both later on, worked as solo artists and producers...both dealt with the Byrds...but, Flip, er, Paxton, had a tad bit more success with a couple of big hits...see if you recall these, "Alley Oop' and 'The Monster Mash'...the latter the humongous hit for Bobby Boris Pickett....as years went on, Paxton (Flip) ventured into gospel music...as he was connected (?) to the one and only, Tammy Faye Bakker...and now, you are much more educated about...well, trivia...

The Baylor Bears gals won their version of the Big Dance...escaping free throws at the buzzer to win a close one, duh...just hate to see the miss of FT to lose a game...hangs on forever...over Notre Dame...tonight, its the dudes turn...Virginia and Texas Tech...should be a brawl at the bucket...not my style and I may pass...something tells me a lack of a call, may be the diff...

This week is the epitome of all golf for the blokes...The Masters...shoot, I think the ladies stop and watch it, too...Augusta...this is the Super Bowl for this sport...the winner, wore the green jacket everywhere once won...at least Sergio and Pat Reed did, the past 2 years...oddly enough, at the same time...the exact opposite of the best in the World at that game, the worst...play in Borrego Springs for the Bozo's Crown...yup, that's my group...ah, my prep yesterday, was the best I have swung it...like in years...mind you, I did not say...scored...but the swing, yes...

Country Music

Time for us all to take a break...get entertained...and put the stress on the down low...get yer ya ya going...groove and watch what makes the Country Music what it is today...fuggit about the award part of it...it's the sangers sanging...Reba hosts...from Vegas...scheduled to perform are most of the biggies in the field...

Little Big Town, George Strait, Carrie...the list goes on and on...I tape it and watch an hour later...to skip past the bloody commercials...duh...trust the Horse, it is worth the watch...

How about the semis in the Final 4, guys version?...the bracket buster, Texas Tech!...beat Mich St, in a battle of defenses...the latter part of the first half, where neither team scored...was brutal...not my type of hoop...and the first one...Virginia won on a contested 3 pointer at the buzzer...foul and the bloke hit all 3 free throws...much to the chagrin and blasphemy of the losers, the Auburn Tigers...hey, CBS had a retired ref doing some analyzing of the stripes...said that to add to the frustrations of Auburn, that just prior to the foul, there was a double dribble that was missed...ah, listen buddy, they missed the foul that caused the dislodging of the ball in the first place...you see what you want to see...anyhoo, TT vs Virginny...who you got?...

One more thing before the finals of the ladies...UO's star shooting guard, Sabrina Ionescu, has announced that she is returning for her senior year!...in this day and age of skipping onto $...she is finishing what she began as a Duck...the final game for the ladies...ND vs Baylor...your choice?...

The Padres!...won the first two games of the Saint Looey series...there is a definite DIFFERENT vibe of these boyz...Mgr Green finally heeded my advice and got Renfroe and Hedges back in the lineup...and they have led the team to W's...hey, dude, give me a call...and we can win this thang...or...just read my blog...
