Sometimes one figures out why...trying to get into a bloke's head...and the stage being set as the one in the NBA Finals...as I had written that the Golden St Warriors had to make some adjustments...if they were to win...and alas, that's what they did...and they won... I got to thinking more about it...the reason they weren't doing stuff...well, go to the old adage, "you dance with whom you brought", er, something like that...it's what got you in the finals...so stay with your program...UNLESS...you are the underdog...and you have to change some things up... Exactly...so the brain trust, led by HC Steve Kerr ...did that...let's talk about him for a bit...I have alluded to guys getting 1st year jobs...never before being the boss...or an assistant...in the pro's I do believe it's different...he has been in and around the sport all his life...there is a great article in this week's SI about him... A very bright guy...who puts family above ...

You might call it a "GOLDEN" win for the Golden State Warriors... silver lining, my bronzed friends ...sorry about that...I couldn't help it...but Coach Steve Kerr DID make some adjustments...went with a SMALL lineup...they DID use motion in their O...he WAS more animated on the sideline...they still didn't pressure LeBron full court...but DID double him often in the 1/2 court...kudos to the brain trust... BUT... the Cavs were tired... 3 games in 5 days of extreme pressure D took their toll ...LeBron looked like he was sick...and Dellavadova (sp) was battling dehydration...and he was decidedly slower...part this and part better stuff by GS, and this series is tied up at 2-2...and moves back to Oakland... Figure the NBA is happy...more exposure for sure...some other things... move those camera guys back further from the floor...interview the refs after games...quit the player's interviews...have Charles and Kenny at all the games...so they can give their in...

Twenty Tidbits... 1.  Morning kids...finally I get to get back out to the links...this afternoon at Torrey Pines...playing the North Course...believe me, it's a big enough challenge...compared to the South... 2.  The manhunt in New England...the prison breakout...seems like this can't happen in these days...obviously, not so...and the entire police force is on lookout...appears that they have them in their cross hairs... 3.  CMT had another of them awards shows...is it just me, or are the country singers a whole lot better than the current pop warblers?...Carrie looked and sounded super...and won a lot of the "buckles"...still...I find it amazing how poorly "stars" sing live...not her...she is for real... 4.  There is money behind these "private shows" that happen in this area...last week it was the Stones...last night it was Steven Tyler and Aerosmith...for CISCO...whatever that is...out at Petco...where the turf was tore up when Mick...

I might of got the number of games right in the series... NBA Finals ...but picked the wrong team...I've watched many of the GS Warriors games throughout this season...and marveled at what they could do...lead, or come from behind...and use their bench to perfection...but now...in the post season...teams play different...and actually use strategy...and are COACHED!... You ever wonder why the USA's Olympic Team is coached by Coach K of Duke ?...chosen by the pro's?...cuz, it takes time to figure out the job...of coaching...who you emulate...what matchups work...what style of D and O fit...how to handle people...because he's been through it all...before...and he is the BEST at it... The Cleveland Cavs are decidedly better prepared ...and really, should be up by 3-0!...a shot missed by Lebron in the 1st and that's where this set could be...as most pundits felt, the Warriors would correct the defensive ploy of the Cavs...find ways to get Curry better, er any sh...

Here's my take on the latest rash of police incidents ...seems to me like it's been happening all over the US of A...right?...of course, the Texas pool party is on the minds of all...as the policeman pulled a gun...which is the biggest scare of many... The phone video capability ...now, you can get instant feedback to situations...some positive and some negative...and in this case...the showing of a cop losing control...don't get me wrong...it is a very difficult job...many times the officers get tested...and to the needs of us all...composure... To protect themselves, there is a movement to have mandatory video cameras on their caps ...and is in place throughout the country...there are a few guys or gals who lose it...and need to be censored or fired...just hope it's not racially based... Paparazzi ...these blokes make a living taking pix...just more of the instant feedback system in place...if you're famous, you are in the eye of the lens...and it gets dee...

It's a new week for us Horsites, right?...of course...and today we have little tidbits that you need to know...things that will go well with your Monday cup of coffee ... Think that there isn't good guys out there anymore?...the winning jockey of the Triple Crown... Victor Espinoza ...donated his winnings from the Belmont to cancer research ... Kyrie who? ...A marvelous game plan by the Cavs ...completely frustrated the Warriors...and can't believe that GS had a chance to win...superior defensive scheme, had the Warriors scrambling for their shots...and lordy, they took a gaggle of bad ones...and LeBron and Co. totally dictated the pace of play...say what you want about the Cleveland Coach and Staff...but they were far better prepared than that of GS ...hmmm...series tied and goes back to Ohio... Which was the site of the Memorial T. ..where I couldn't find the OT playoff on the pixels...the Euro beat the Brit...not exactly sure if they still live where they ar...

Am re-watching the fantastic series on CNN... The Sixties ...it's a many parter that takes you back into time...you MUST SEE it...talks about stuff that I sort of knew...but was in my high school and college days...and I can't be expected to remember all of that...right?...I was not a toter...and certainly not like Slick Willy...but the decade was full of civil rights, women's rights, worker's rights, and gay rights...amazing... Isn't that a name for a horse?...I think so...anyway, American Pharaoh , pulled it off...as the 1st winner of the Triple Crown in the modern era...decisively...from the get go...with a 2nd best time ever on the long Belmont course...gosh, it was fun to watch...and the New Yorkers were great hosts and fans...did go off at 3-5...and the 3rd place finisher was the only one I didn't have in my key...figures...did have it across the board...but whoppee, it only paid $4.30...ha ha...
