Ha ha...as you now continue into the BOWL SEASON ...you figure out why all these teams are still playing?...D-1 Football...it's all about the $...you OK with this?...it's a racket kids...and the schools make big bucks...well, some do...and the number of 'em...39, counting the champ game...our next one around here is the Nebraska / USC Holiday Bowl ...tomorrow eve...parade and all today...hmmm... by the way, what and where is this sponsor, National University? Did you get your fill of Pro Hoops yesterday?...all day long...we watched some...and the LeBron Cavs are my issue for the day ...more hype than good... James is a step slower this season for whatever reason...and Love...an average player at best...can't jump or defend...and Irving...a 2nd tier PG ...and they just lost one of their bigs to an achilles...forget about pundit's crap...it ain't going to happen, you Jame's lovers... Kobe, oh Kobe ...as they rest him...2nd straight game... the Lake Sho...

To all of you my loyal, faithful readers...I wish you a very, Merry Christmas! ...I hope you have your family surrounding you...we do...and it's wonderful!!!! So everyone is still asleep...so I have time to write worthless pieces of drivel ...oops, sorry...I got a text from Snooki, bashing the coaching of the Western Kentucky football team in the Bahamas (?) Bowl...up by 49-14 in the 4th...promptly gave up 34 points and should have LOST the game...their opponent, Central Mich, scored a TD on one of them lateral until you drop it, game enders...that never works...well, it did...and then CMU went for two for the win...and lost...got that?...a fiasco...oh well, I had WKU and am now 9/10 ... yessur, keep them right a coming... In the aftermath of the Poinsettia Bowl ...where SDSU did everything they could to lose the match to Navy...which they did... Rocky Long, the headmaster of the Aztecs...ah hem, not my fav...could have cinched things up early in the 4th with a FG...passed ...

Christmas ...what does it mean to you?...is it a religious thing?...is it all about family?...is it a time that you remember what has happened in the past...and are truly blessed?...it's an aura that surrounds your little world...at least that's what it means to this guy... I think back to when it all started for me ...a little lad...and we would open the presents in the am...and good lordy, I couldn't sleep at all...sometimes, Mom would take me with her to the Episcopal Service...her dad was a preacher...anyway, I was one of five kids...so any gift was a treasure...in those times...I would go into our pantry and wrap some stuff from there, to give to everyone else...of course, I had no $ or clue that that was silly...I think that the rest of the fam kind of looked forward to what I did... My parents were the type that gave everything they had to us...you know, a trip to the market was so great...fresh food for many...and the meal we had on the special day was just ...

As the Bee Gee's wrote it...er, sang it... STAYING ALIVE ...perfectly earmarks the Bolt's season ...with their miraculous W over the 49ers....and some big losses yesterday by others... the coast is now clear ...well, the chance for the playoffs is... win and they are in ...playing KC...if there is any more incentive needed than that...by the way, I am convinced it's a big QB league ...so much diff than in college... just ask Johnny Football ...there are exceptions of course...but look at the blokes still playing the position...and their longevity...all very big and tall guys... The Festival of Lights was a cool show...and there were thousands of SDites roaming the bay front looking for the best angle...we just went to the outside bar at the Fish Market ...timed it perfectly...got our drinks...and voila!...here they came...within 50 feet...and we just walked there...lordy, there were as many vehicles as peops trying to land somewhere...next year, our goal is to be on...

Eegads, we have but 4 days until Christmas ...and we are lucky to have our son and his girl with us for this time of the year. ..won't give you all the particulars, but it worked out great...all of our shopping is done...and things look mighty festive around here...yeah!... Evelyn (Marsh's pseudonym) has every minute planned out... There is chatter about a 50 year reunion ...what?...yup, graduated from HS in '65 ...and was in a class of 952 kiddies...really...you can imagine, I knew about 10%...I was one of them guys on the hoop's team...pretty much all I did...didn't know I needed glasses for most of the time...and couldn't see a lick...ha ha...and then, was too embarrassed to wear 'em... don't recall a whole bunch about that time of my life ....some peops can remember vividly all that happened in their HS days...not me...I remember more about college...I guess there was more happening...at least I was more aware... Was mildly intrigued by the B...
