The game last night was filled with stink um ... the Heat win at Boston ...I know, LeBron was magnifico... BUT ...too many of the wide open shots by the Celts missed BADLY! ...in fact, had no chance of going in...and, it brought to mind, the amount of $ that the NBA gets for prolonging this series...I'm just saying... Staying with the negative... the Pads are the worst ...even beat writer for the Trib, Nick Canepa , chimed in...as he has seen every one of the Padres teams through out the years...and he declared this the "worst ever" ...more inept fielding and 3 times the bases were loaded and got zero runs...off to Milwaukee to show the nation some fine beisbol .... The US Open announced their pairings yesterday...pairings?...when there are three in the group?...must really mean groupings...but the feature group has Lefty , Tiger , and Boomer ...in SF...just try to get close to that tee box... BUT ...I think the NBA lurves the attention they are getting and would do anything to see both playoffs to go seven games...well, I am not mentioning anything below the board, BUT...will OKC end theirs at home versus the Spurs? ...I think not, as it will go seven, too... Break up the Pads ...as they actually won a game in walk off fashion...they have some of their blokes that have been on the injured list... Carlos Quenton (2 hr's), Logan Forsythe (walk off hr), Houston Street (win), and Mark Kotsay (elder statesman) ...maybe there is promise on the horizon... The Blazers finally hired a GM... Well...I am eating my words... the Thunder (Supersonics) are destroying the seemingly invincible Spurs ...but...I will say both teams are playing hard and good D... The Celts have a rough road in beating the Heat ...and...as I have said quite often... .Lebron James is not a closer...he is a gifted hoopster...but lacks the ability to get the final thing accomplished... BUT ...the Heat have many more weapons than the Celts ...by the way, what on earth was the Truth thinking?...knock over a bloke and not get called for it?... Way diff... the Bachelorette is horrible...turrible ...there was nothing on last night so I gave it a try again...not only does she have little to choose from, but she has zero personality...talk about pregnant pauses... boooooring... The final leg of the Triple Crown is this weekend...can "I'll Have Another" get the job done?  I think yes and will be the prohibitive favorite...must check the weather... the Belmont is always an odd finish.....

So did you miss me?  I was on an extravaganza to Vegas ...golf thinger with 30 guys...3 days of golf and stayed at the Nugget ...right at the Fremont St. Experience...which was cool...well, hot...as the temp was 104*-108*...hit the pool twice and was struck with one major observation...that a lot (80%, maybe) of people are sporting tattoos...really...and all ages... AND ...my golf partner, an elder doctor guy out of SD, actually got a face tattoo...albeit a vegetable based one, that will wear off in two months...but still...really?  OMG ... I had a good day the first and cashed ...the other two...well...I can give you a multitude of excuses...but the one is...the greens were awful, and one step away from being trashed...looks like from either the heat or a fungus...or both...so much that the Bad Frogs will not return there for the trip... One of my follies is that some golfers can get notoriety for who they are , rather than how they play the game... Rickie Fowler ...flam...
