Not sure there is anything like this Comicon Thang ...we had lunch on 5th...and gazed about at the masses who are 'into' this phenomena...the street is closed down, from J to the end of it...ahem, they even are banning the electric scooters, for the safety of all... I took a dozen or so pix ...if they are dressed up, 'they want to be photographed' ...check them out on my Facebook page ...listen, kids, this goes on til the wee hours, too....as we were walking Sammi at 10 pm...there was a line wrapped around our building, to get into something... Loved this ...while we were perched at a restaurant yesterday... 'Burgers and Brews' ...I think that is the name... Marsh commented on our waitresses glasses ...how cool they were...they had NO LENSES in 'em...does wearing glasses make you look smarter?...or?... Over the pond, the 'moving day' is upon us...early, the -7 round of Justin Rose propels him into contention...and yes, Tiger is -2 after 6 .....

There is no bigger event in the Q , than Comic-Con ...and it is this time of the year...some may call this geek week , and I'm not sure the many people who go, wouldn't disagree...anyhoo, there are attendees EVERYWHERE! ...at all times of the day and nite...swarming...ha ha...many are dressed in their favorite cartoon character disguise...so there you go...we will plop down at one of the watering holes...and just watch the mayhem...you know, people watch... One of my fears in the 'hood... these kids riding these scooters all over the place ...last nite, there was an accident...car hit scooter...got to think, that it happens way too much...and, with the masses that are here, there will be more missteps... Equally as funky...is what is going on in DC ...right?...well, almost chilling...the bizarre dealings with the Russians by Donny ...what is really happening?...I doubt many know...his ever changing inner circle, probably doesn't, either...he now is boasting that ...

For all of us horse racing enthusiasts, our very own Del Mar has begun!... a truly wonderful park, that is a treat for any who attend ...the best hosses, the best trainers, the best jockeys, are all there...whether you drive...take an Uber or Lyft...or take the train (Coaster)...it's a 20 minute jaunt...I will wait a bit to get there...soon, however... I mentioned the Kawhi Leonard trade by the Spurs yesterday...he is the San Diego St product...who developed into one of the better pro players in the NBA...and then the bizarre injury sequence this past season...puts a huge question mark into what he is up to...he wanted out of San Antonio...wanted a trade to LaLa...ended up in Toronto...where he doesn't want to go, or play...what is happening?...I dunno, as he may even sit out...another year...???... The Open has begun over the pond...which by the way, is seemingly filled with sharks...and most eyes are upon Tiger and what he does...gosh, like no other golfer, since Ar...

The All Star Game was a hoot!...so many HR's...and K's...it is nice that the winning side, does not get home court advantage in the real world, er, series...like they had for awhile... the Pad's Brad Hand , had a great 2 inning outing... The Kawhi Leonard to the LaLa Lakers is a no go...his destination appears to be Canada... Toronto. ..for a year, anyway...his wants and desire was to go to LA...the Spurs said nope...one more year, Lake Show fans... Donny said he meant to say would not, in lieu, of would...er, whatever, he is fibbing to us ...can somebody find the impeach mobile and crank it up, please?... I DID get a book...about the mismanagement of the Vietnam War ... LBJ and John McNamara ...amongst others...a little sidelight...it starts with JFK and who he hired for his cabinet...he preferred 'whiz kids'...people who he could talk to that were thinkers...my how things ha...

Top of the morning to ya'll, kids...as the bulk of us are weathering the magnificent heat that is here...in the SUMMER!...hope you have AC...just a bit of the golf...loads of water...a dip in the pool...and, to top it all off, a jaunt over to the bay for a happy happy hour...of some very cold bubbly... In the clash of the Titans ... USA and Russia ...the 'leaders' met in Helsinki...not sure of your feelings, but just read the comments by MOST of the American Politicians...lambasting POTUS ...this, just after the DOJ indicted 12 Russians for meddling in our election process...rather than go any further with MY take, try this... Imagine the roles reversed ...to be clear, this is just hypothetical...the USA meddled in the Russian election...and Putin met with Donny in Mexico City...think there is any way in this world, that Putin wouldn't be irate with Trump?...the accusations would be stern and very pointed...and I would imagine that he would say very clearly, ...

Morning, kids...you have the day to find you and your mate's favorite flavor of ICE CREAM ...whether it is at the super, or at a specialty store...in a dish, a cone, waffle, or sugar...or for you heathens, right out of the carton...you have the right to celebrate National Ice Cream Day ...my choice, you ask?... mint chocolate, er chocolate mint ...from Baskins Robbins...are there still those stores out there?...I dunno...
