It's the issue of the day...maybe even days... California Chrome ...will be a 3/5 favorite...if not even lower odds... look for a quick pace from Saamrat...and Chrome needs to sit off the early lead...and then, GO!...late possible charges from Ride on Curlin and Wicked Strong ...unless it falls all apart...and Rosario is on Tonalist...which always scares me...the people will be happy if CC wins...the bettors if there is an upset... NBA Champ Series, game one ...goes to Pop's Spurs ...and the major factor was not the play, the refs, the coaches, but the weather...what?...well, the heat ...inside!...as the air conditioning system went out in the SA arena...A T & T Center...ha ha...as all of these structures are bought out by some company looking for a name and a place to put their $...must be quite the method of investment...I digress... The Heat went down to it...as the best player in the land went down to... CRAMPS!...Lebron James ...and when he departed, Miami was behind by 2...in the 4th Q...and lost by 15... Reminded me of my playing days...now, this was a loooong time ago...but we were not to have water during practice...or games...REALLY! ...the biggest sprint of the night was always to the water fountain after practice...and during games, we would suck on wet towels... gotta be a man! ...lordy, I went down with cramps a couple of times...and was through for the night...huge pain... Good morning kids...and there was a substantial number of newbies yesterday reading...for whatever reason...I thank you and hope you return...I'm just a former teacher/coach that started this blog when we moved down here to San Diego...and needed an outlet for my thoughts...thus, BANG!...out came this blog, Crazy Horse ... Two interesting musical thingers happened yesterday...well, just saw the HBO Show of the inductees to this year's Hall of Famers ...ie, Kiss, Nirvana, Cat Stevens, and Linda Rondstadt...there were others ...but those were the ones that intrigued me...not that I was ever a Kiss follower, or even listener...but the story on them was noteworthy....anyway, the show itself was very good...I especially liked the gal tribute to Rondstadt, that included Stevie Nicks, Carrie, and Sheryl Crow...and others... The other...was the CMT Awards Show ...eegads, I am a country bumpkin...not really...but do prefer that type of music...however...am not at all digging th...

The one time that you can make your team better...is the MLB Draft ...and IF...you do not spend a whole lot of $ on your picks...you just may shy away from selecting the best guys available...hmmm... the Pads have had a sad set of years in the draft...according to the Trib Beat writer, Nick Canepa, who has been here forever ...SD has been pathetic...and this time...need to select only position players...like everyone BUT a pitcher...ha ha... It's a grand time for a kid to get the phone call to further his dreams in the game ...and...you might think...the quicker he can get to the Bigs , the better...and therefore...the Padres would be a perfect fit...this is what you need to say, if you are a bloke from the organization...right?...it begins tomorrow... OK, it's not...but it starts with something as benign as a simple little thing that EXPLODES! ...and it's more of whom you hang with than what you do...meaning...this inside trading query that Lefty ( Phil Mickelson ) is allegedly involved in...the report...and I mean report...is that the trading of, get this... CLOROX stock ...was part of some shenanigans that he may have had some inside knowledge...it is said that he is a part of a golf group that includes some big $ regular type guys...well, not like you or me...but not golf pros....and the report says, that they move money...a lots of it...and, well, the FBI is now involved ...stay tuned... how'd that work out for Martha Stewart?... The NBA All Star DEFENSIVE TEAM ...was announced...hey now...I have watched a whole gaggle of games...so, I think I have a clue... the judging, er voting panel, is made up of 123 media types ...on the 1st team included PG Chris Paul...what?...matador...and two blokes actually voted for.....

Morning kids...finally back from my Vegas trip with the Bad Frogs ...everyone returned unharmed (30) and  that's a good thing...the golf was at Desert Pines (twice) and then the toughest course anywhere where all the holes are patterned from the Brits famous holes, Royal Links ...and the rough is beyond...I can only imagine the real thing...I said this last year...for a bloke like me, there is zero chance of success... The excursion itself was fun...my partner was a very good stick and we made $...I did contribute, but it was the exception...I did get a KP...that was worth some good funds...anyway, I met some good guys and that was terrific...BUT... 3 days straight of golf is burdensome on me ...I'm not bad for two, but the 3rd, I am wiped...really think that was my last time... Made a great bet on the Thunder ....ha ha...and then they promptly got booted by the Spurs...should know better... one is coached and the other is babysat ...big diff...and the two best remain for...
