CRAZY HORSE

Over the pond...ha ha...there is this guy going crazy, no, not Tiger...but Brandt Snedeker ...just a rolling through the pasture, that them foreign people call a golf course...it's early, but he is posting a good one...I thought long and hard about who to put my quid on, and just couldn't pull the trigger... Speaking of that, we are heading out to Del Mar this afternoon...4 o'clock first post...so we are going to take the train...it's a crap shoot this early in the season...the hosses are unsure of the artificial ground they run on...they call it synthetic...and it is just a grand experience here...warm and well attended... The Padres won 3 of 4 against the Astros...of course, the one game I bet on, they lost....and they were favored in all games...what?...the first series in 2 months...the real topic was the pitching of Edison Volquez last night...he gave up but one hit...and it was a chopper to his right that he couldn't come up with...and he blames himse...

However, I did bet on the Pro Football Champs , on the Bolts and the 49e...

Wait a minute...you are going to not believe this... the craziest thing I have ever seen in the Bigs ...of course it has to be the Padres ...last night...believe it or not... And sure... SD has runners on 2nd and 3rd...top of the 9th...down by one run...and with our record of futility...worst in the majors of knocking in runs in scoring position...and we are playing the Dodgers in LA.... where we have lost 9 consecutive times ...and here we go again...strikeout and pop out...with their closer, perhaps, the slowest delivery in all of beisbol...taking his own sweet time...now 2 outs...and, WHAT?... Our runner on 3rd breaks for home...trying to steal home!... Everth Cabrera stole home! ...here's the deal...the Dodgers and the home plate ump were so stunned that they called him out...and then realized that the catcher didn't have the ball...and wait...here came our runner from 2nd, Will Venable ...who does the same... OMG!... The closer, Houston Street , finished the job in...
