Weather

I don't mess with mother nature...all the forecasts list this awesome lightning stuff ...out at Sycuan...this fine day...and I will take the day off from swinging sticks at the lightning...scares the heebie jeebies out of me...even though I haven't played much in the last 3 weeks, today is NOT the day... If you want your fill on war...just turn on the tube and watch the Hamas and Israel go at it...don't you dare speak on behalf of one of the sides...and some do...and get shunned...it's a horrible situation that won't go away...it's not like army vs army, which bothers me... The Pads have a lineup that is so different from opening day...makes you wonder what the management was doing in the off season...and I must say...this group swings the bats much better than the last set...much better...beat Atlanta 10-1 in game one...hmmm... Did you see the gruesome injury by the NBA star, Paul George in Vegas?...it's a freak thing...and one that you can not w...

Trade #3

Image
And finally the Pads completed their trading season...their 3rd of it...and this time it was the very popular Chris Denorfia ...and he is going to Seattle...a team in the mix...and thus, the rich get richer...all this done without the benefit of a GM...ha ha... this is such a poor conglomerate of owners and management... One of the teams doing a lot of movement was the Oakland A's ...traded their best long ball hitter to the Bosox...hmmm...???...sometimes doing too much can defeat what you had going on...SD did that a few years back...benching some young guns, and trading for some Vets...and the Pads did a nose dive...and have not recouped yet... Still a problem out at Del Mar ...yet another horse went down to the too firm turf...and all races are now on the poly track...what is wrong with dirt?...all confuses me so... Select crew in Ohio...the PGA ...and the GC had a field day...as they got to follow the Tiger the entire day...which I did, too...he is close, kids...and also...

Hey Tweety!...well, it actually sounds like "Hey Petey" ...so that's what I use for my notifier on my cell...ha ha...when I get text messages...seriously... I read one last eve warning about the stock market overseas ...one of them bodies of water...and it listed the stocks that were taking hits ...and lo and behold... the numbers are down (big time!) this am for the US markets ...hmmm.... Go figure the new and improved Pads ... lambasted the Cards , who are in hunt for a post season playoff spot...12-1...and now are two up in the series...our new 3B Solarte, was 4-5 and the his only out was a liner...and Gyorko...since he has come back from an extended rehab, is hitting the ball big time again...and...this young pitcher Hahn...is the real deal...I'd say one of the top ten in the NL...that good...a day game today... bring out the brooms... I can't believe that GMA is bringing the pathetic number 2 from the Bachelorette on the show this am...wait, yes I can....

Hmmm

Image
And yup, this is a wacky day ...judging by all the weird stuff that went on the last few days...and today...well, I write about it...none more goofy and maybe, just maybe, disgusting... The Bachelorette finals...as Andi picked her man ...and the jilted guy number 2...unloaded ...and it took some time for him to do so...in fact, it was a BIGGER item than the winning combo...what?...for some reason the producers of the show thought that it was a more interesting item, I suppose... Here we go...OK, Snooki, I know you hate this show...but hang in there...there is a topic that needs to be addressed... the kiss and tell ...is it ever OK to do so?...what?...number 2 finally got the opp to confront Andi as to why not him?...and he revealed that they, well, you know...and she never told him that she lurved him, yet she knew he did...so why go forward? ...ah yes...number 2...you didn't win...move on... Yet...the producers thought otherwise... there are gender biased q's here ...

The Aftermath

Image
Well, after 12 hours of sleep, I feel pretty dang good... BUT ...as we were winding down our whirlwind trip to Orygun, tragedy struck ...we were aboard the plane...and there was a call for medical help...seems like a passenger collapsed on the tarmac ...out went  people from on board...2 RN's and a Med Doc, who just happened to be on this flight...all the action was mighty close to the entrance to the plane...as we could see the steward's, stewardess'es, and pilot's reactions to what was going on...after about 45 minutes or so, it was announced that the person had died ...no bueno... I did find a way to post from the plane...kind of cool...cost like $10 to get online...and the flight itself was great...somehow, we made up 45 minutes, and landed on time...go figure... The trip...it was wonderful ...luckily staying with our good friends, the Snooks ...who took care of us...drove us...fed us...boozed us...laughed with us...all very great stuff... We went everywher...

37,000 Feet

So get this kids...I am  in the airplane, 37,000 feet up here...going to post stuff... The trip was just that, a trip...TG for the Snooks... Saw a whole gaggle of peops in a short period of time....and missed others....sorry... Heading back to SD and the calm 70 degree temp...see the puppy...detox for sure... Marsh was the belle of the ball...and I was the arm candy...ha ha... The only think we didn't get was a Bob's Cheeseburger and a stop at Dutch Bros...and Lum Yuens... Got to be frank here, the Padingtons Pizza was a huge letdown... The stories have definitely been embellished over time..especially that ahole, Bartlett...th biggest of them all... It's also sad, as we prob will not return there and saw some peops for the last time...poop... The bourbon testing experiment was one for all time... It was so nice to see our old friends... More of this when I am on solid ground...if we did see you thanks for meeting up... It made our weekend...we were t...

Reunions

Image
Ah, nothing like a moment frozen in time...these high school reunions...where people gander back at what was...and now is...and relive stories of the past...ah, what a feeling... So we are in the great Pacific Northwest...and it is beautiful this time of year....staying with our good friends, the Snooks...geez, to actually be back in a real house is way cool... Have done all the real important stuff...meet up with friends from the homeland...driven around and seeing what is and what was...there...went over to the Orygun part of the Pacific Coast...had chowder at Mo's...actually walked on the beach...had the infamous pizza at Padington's...going to have another dinner with some more buds..did the reunion thing for two nights...and then fly back south in the am... What we haven't done yet...gone into Fred Meyers...just to say we did...had a Dutch Bros Skinny White Choc Mocha...had a Bob's burger.. And hearing that so many people are readers...which floors me...and...
