Well, I lead with the AL yesterday , so I gotta go with the NL today ...in dramatic fashion, the LA Dodgers (alias Bums) won their 'one and done' game vs the Cards...helped in cause by two of their guys who have struggled the MOST this past month or so...weird game, this wild card thang...ask Saint Looey if they like it...regardless, it is what it is...and the Bums now take on the SF Giants in a real series match...not this one game fiasco... There was like euphoric sighs of the one and done 'Wild Card' game in MLB last eve ...give me a break... the 'experts' were apparently in alignment over the concept of a playoff, that featured just one game ... baseball, on that level, is a series of games ... not like in high school ...exciting?...sort of...but, what on earth made the league do this?...so much air time was given to the teams that qualified, perhaps for a month...and then POOF!, it is all over...tonight it's the Cards at the Bums...one and done, too... Boston prevailed, beating the top NY pitcher... does the home team have a huge advantage? ...sure seems like it...hey, I don't like it...how many ways can I say that?...balderdash...don't give me the crap about it extending the season too long...it already is...what's another 2 games?...c'mon...and, the Yankees are looking for a new 3B coach...ha ha... The NFL is into their 6th week...some are calling out MVP names...oh my...a little...

We don't get much of this...but when we do, it is a doozy! ...the weather people predicted rain...not the thunder and lightning show we got ...here you go, I did get a bolt to our north. ..did I ever tell ya, these are hard to snap?...at least for moi...I have seen many much better, all over the web net this am...BUT, this is mine...we did get our rain, and of course 'we needed it'...the cry out loud for Cali... These numbers are mind boggling, kids...hey, good morning!...as we saunter thru this grand month of October... In a most bizarre game in the Pac 12 ...the headlines should be that the Stanford Cardinal won the game in OT over the once, highly ranked Oregon Ducks ...over and out...not so fast, my good friends...the 'bizarre' part was more that just that... highly incredible officiating, not uncommon for this crew ...almost like it was RIGGED!...I go there, because I don't think that any official has ever been charged for this in modern times... Weird was that Oregon was playing without their starting center (not weird) but also, their Offensive Coordinator was missing ...the official word was sick, but not due to virus implications (not Covid)...the resulting play calling, was odious at best... surely, by halftime... things would change...which they did...and the Ducks changed the game around and went ahead with a bit more than 2 minutes to go...
