The Symphony as a helper, just has to be a treat for the sangers... we have seen the likes of LeeAnn Rimes just sound beyond super with 'em in the background ...and Boz, too...which he brought up often, and said his thanks over and over... Jo Jo, Harbor Lights, Look What You Done For Me, Rainy Night..., Georgia, Lowdown ...to name but a  few...recognize 'em?...and in the latter phase of the show, the locals invaded the area right in front of the sta...

I'm watching the ladies play in their Open , over the pond...and the announcers/analysts keep driving the point home...that there are too many golf coaches in the sport...that these players almost get to the level of trying too hard...to improve their swings beyond where they are now, or what they are capable of... Preparation , yes...over coaching, no...in essence, just play their game...interesting...pictured here is Michele Wie ... I have never seen the likes of the press scrutinizing a Prez like they do this one...and...I'm not sure there is a side that truly favors him...you used to be able to find the Demo and the Repub stations...and the appropriate news rags that did the same...but not now... Morning, kids...it's been hustle and a bustle for the past couple of days...had an emergency dental trip up to Santa Barbara , to see our dentist ...well, the kids...and have some work done...ah hem, this time on Marsh....I have to tell you...he is the best...if you are in need, look him up...no bias, just fact... pictured here is Cris's first dental exam...on my mother... The travel from here to there is not easy...whenever you drive thru LA it is a mess...so many cars... the 405 is brutal, the 5 even worse ...took us 5 1/2 hours to return...toss in the 5 o'clock traffic just north of SD...and there you have it...total frustration... Today...is one of leisure...as we head on out to Del Mar ...for a day at the races ...can't believe it's my first time out this season...it's the one with Marsh's Work Force...at the Turf Club. ..you know the drill...ladies in dresses with pompous hats...dudes with sport coats, long pants, closed toed shoes, and grega...

This window of time that the MLB teams do what they can to get in position to make it to the World Series...has just ended...and guess which teams made the biggest moves? ...those with the most money...duh...the NY Yankees and the LA Bums ...each getting prize pitchers... NY got the P Sonny Gray from Oakland ...for some minor leaguers, er, so called 'prospects'...and likewise, LA got P Yu Darvich from Texas , for, you got it, 'prospects'... I didn't realize that LaLa hasn't won the WS since 1988! ...what?...purnt near 30 years, in the Horse's book...wow, it seems like they win our division every other year...well, either them or the SF Giants...I'm not sure if I'm pulling for them or not...hey, it's SD first...but let's get real...we have NEVER won the bloody thing...let alone even being atop the division...since, well, way before we hit the town... I'll just betcha that the pixel people would drool over a NY/LA WS ...I wonder...

So you are a watching your favorite...well, a show on the pixels...and somehow, you get distracted by the advertisement that comes on...it says, in the Horse's words ... 'as you get older (duh), are you forgetting more than you can remember?...we have an additive that can make your bloody brain come back alive!...take a pill a day...and you....yes YOU...can be what you once were (was?)... Prevagen ...which uses a little known substance found in jellyfish ...blah blah blah...' Man, how many of these things are out there? ...I can sell you a rock with your historic maiden name etched on it...buy my new pill and you will no longer need reading glasses...ah yes, you get the picture... What a terrific finish in the Canadian Open! ... Jhon Vegas...won in OT ...as a repeat winner in that tourney...beat the San Diegan, and now short haired...Chas Hoffman...so many blokes had a chance on the back nine...and those two prevailed...I mention Jhon...as he is a native Venezuelan...

The LPGA has their version of the Scottish Open , over the pond...and oh my, the weather is MISERABLE! ... rain, blustery winds, and it is cold. ..perfect golf weather?...I think not...most of those on the course viewing it, are the commentators and the camera peops...oh yea, and this...one of the gals in the hunt...is the US's Cristie Kerr. ..to say she is a pokey player is an understatement ...imagine playing in her group...her final hole was legendarily long...pick up the pace!... The Pads have now won 4 in a row ...after last eve's victory over the visiting Pirates...there is promise on the horizon...it will take time, I keep getting told...it is the path that the Houston Astros did ...start with the youngins...and develop the system that way...instead of bringing in the wily, old vets, for one last hurrah...a tactic that SD has used for...well, forever...
