Lean On Me
Sports builds unity ...a cry that practically every coach who has the team in their repertoire shouts out to anyone who'd listen...how being part of a team makes you a better individual...that if you have faith in what we do it will get you through...the tough times...believe in the lord...there is no I in team...act like you've been there before...how can you let down your team mates?...well, football teams are the biggest culprits...mainly due to having so many guys on their teams...and there are so many ways to motivate... I just saw a piece on this very same topic...the USC Trojans have been using the '72 song by Bill Withers , " Lean On Me "...thing is the rookies have to sing a song in their hazing period of becoming a part of the team...and that's what he sang...the Coach, Pete Carroll , took it one step further and invited Withers himself to a team meeting...punked them as he posed as a NCAA official...turns out to be a huge building block...cool stu...
