Economy?...there are more and more empty seats at all hoop games...why is this?...is it the product isn't that good, or is it that the price of the tix are just too much for this economy?...is that you, Uecker?... The pro sport cost of players has escalated so much that it has become a luxury to attend the games...hoops in particular...it seems like the businesses are the ones that can afford the seats...and then, declare 'em on their taxes... Witness the number of the empty ones...but...what about the same for collegiate basketball?...I watched 4 games yesterday...and not only were their vast amount of 'em, but many student spots were not filled...geez, at USD, there weren't ANY students in the gym...outside of the cheerleaders....really...in fact, they had a battalion of marines in the upper part...not sure how many that was... Could it be the game is not as good as it once was?...count me in on this...it's hard to find a pattern to the process...most ever...

Is it so hard to say "thank you?" ...I mean c'mon...I can not tell you how many times we have paid for dinners and or drinks...and nary a word is spoken ...like it was understood that we were going to foot the bill...what?... in olden times, there would be a note written and sent to the gracious hosts ...and some still do that... Marsh does ...or...like opening the door for someone...nothing...no words...maybe even a nod would do...is it so hard to say, "pardon me?' , if you are unsure of what was said?...or,  I retrieve a ball out of the lake for some bloke...nuttin...where have all the civil salutations gone?... good morning...have a good day...you look nice...do you need directions?...good evening ...and on and on...is it that we the people have turned into heathens?...I guess my big rant is...those who fail to follow up on something that was done for them...I could care less about monetary retributions...I just want a "thank you!" ... I have mad...

I can't explain the weird actions of the Worm , er, Dennis Rodman ...who has talked a bunch of blokes to go with him over to North Korea...to play in a "benefit" hoops game...to help something in that country...let's be honest here...he is not the sharpest blade in the pantry...and yet, somehow, he has got the notoriety that he has shot for...and is making that place take notice...go figure... PDX ...the team has come back to earth...lost again last eve...this time in Sac Town...the Kings are NOT that bad...but, losing to the 76ers at home...NO!...their theory of D is substandard and will haunt them...until they change it...watch out for Golden St...who are on a terror...10 straight...tonight in Brooklyn, who are playing up to their talent, finally... The final poll is out for the D-1 football ...and the Ducks ended up 9...ahead of Stanford...which befuddles me...oh well, it's just a number... This time the K fam released a pix of the matriarch in a bikin...

You know my feelings about D-1 Football ... it is a money grabbing, corrupt system, that perpetuates itself in the so called bowl season, that culminates with the final chapter, the BSBCS Title Game ...I'm not saying I don't watch and or, enjoy some of the games...what I am saying is that there are a whole gaggle of people making money off of the process...a lot of $...and next year there will be a minor change in the system...a 4 team playoff... Does not take away from the game last night...which I thought I may pass on...not so...it was highly entertaining...as FSU won a thriller... Auburn had it, and turned way conservative...geez, I hate the chants. ..that's just me...you probably like it...and do the chop yourself...it's like the Seminoles don't even exist ...I digress...why did I go there?...good game... Global warming? ...hmmm...try telling that to the NE part of the US...eegads, again, it shows that we live in the best part of this country...at least,...

The town is abuzz... the Bolts upset the Bengals in the 1st round of the playoffs...didn't realize all the baggage that team had in Cincy...they were tight...and we were not...I guess...anyway, Rivers and the O were clicking ...and move on to the mile high city next week...to beat up on Peyton once again...ah, the sweet smell of VICTORY... And the other one... SF and their QB Kaepernick ...it comes down to the QB doesn't it?...had enough options, meaning his legs, to make the big plays to beat the Pack... And geez, with all the hullabaloo about the weather and all... NO SNOW! ...boo.... Downton gave us a two hour beginning to the 4th season...it was a nice start...thankfully, no one got killed in this episode...just lurve to get lost in the show...nothing else exists...do you watch?... Speaking of that.... Kapalua ...what a beautiful GC...the Plantation...we drove by it a few months ago...fantastic views all over that place...in the most gorgeous place on this eart...

Sit yourself down in front of the tele...pour yourself a spot of tea...have a crumpet and jelly...do check your schedule twice ...and enjoy the new season of... Downton Abbey ...my favorite show on the tube...starts up tonight, kids...PBS...of course, we will watch it now...buy the 4th season of it all on Blu-ray at the end of this month...and then watch at our own pace...but...for now...we are on their speed... I can not tell you how many trees I hit yesterday...it was legendary...and the boys were getting a good laugh from my spectacle...and yes, I was getting Cliffed ...Cliffy...of course, I popped off and said, I'd still kick your arse...and did...as I turned it around on the back...still...haven't reached my NY resolution of '14...ha ha...this humiliating game of goff... NFL ...the unbelievable string of playoff losses by the KC coach ...it is 8 straight now...1st for Philly...and he was up 28...and blew it to Indy...seemed like the clock was in slow motion...be...
