Playoff week number two in the NFL...and my beloved Tennessee Titans are still rambling on...but, to the pleasure of most 'analysts', it is a blow out game in New England...ZERO % chance of a victory for the upstart lads, dressed in Titan blue...ah yes, so most won't even watch it... I have to lead again with Montecito ...the word out of there is depressing...as the numbers have fluctuated all day, as to the accuracy of 'em... 43 are still missing! ...17 have lost their lives...many are still hospitalized...many rumors as to what actually caused the mudslides...the biggest one, is that the city's water holding tank...gave way...regardless, the 101 will not open until Monday...the train HAS opened...imagine the numbers riding on the Amtrak...as the city digs out... The Cavs ...what on earth?...absolutely falling apart...got drilled again by over 25...this time in Toronto...the King is not happy...in fact, there was video of him screaming at most everyone in a time out...ie, one of the coaches...here's...

Morning, kids...the rains have left...and the destruction is now news for all...tragic...the numbers I am hearing are 17 dead and 17 still missing ...in Montecito ... the mudslides ...thanks to all who have asked about Cris and Leila...they are fine ...his practice, miraculously escaped the damage...it was all around it...amazing!...yet, the village and the town, will take years to...recover...the only highway thru the area... the 101, is reportedly closed until Monday ...listen, I have no idea what it's like south of there...in Carpenteria and Ventura...such a very sad phenomena... BTW... KEYT runs a 24 coverage on this... BREAKING ...there are 48 missing...   Double breaking ...the numbers are skewed...it is now 8 people missing... And the rest of the stuff... Diet Coke ...apparently the company just can't stand pat...and are coming up with 4 new flavors for the  'diet' drink...geez, none of them seem appealing to me...they have been dabbling in the sweete...

The after effects of the largest fire in the history of the state of California...barren land...and the dreaded worry of massive inches of RAIN! ..which causes mudslides ...my son and I have talked about it for weeks...well, ever since the Thomas Fire was mostly contained... Mother Nature did her thing again ...exactly, what we feared!... Horrific mudslides ...from all those burnt out areas...and the land just gushed toward the Pacific...oh so close to his practice... Montecito , in particular, has shown the most destruction ...it is the headline item on most pixel news shows...plus, the details of many people stranded...couldn't get out in time...scary sh---... Pictured here, is the road that Dr Cris has his practice ...oh my... 15 are known to have lost their lives ...many more are unaccounted for... Cris keeps reminding me and themselves...of how many times they have looked in that area for a home to buy ...he is fortunate to be where their condo homesite is, safely tu...

Most of the pixels in the football world, were turned on to the game... The Game...the D-1 Champ ... 'Bama vs their latest victim, the Georgia Bulldogs ...yes, mine, too...it was one of those...that appeared to be heading in the upset column...as Georgia dominated the 1st half...then... My hated HC of the Crimson Tide, Nick Saban ,  did something he hadn't done all year...changed up QB's...brought in a thrower...decided that his team couldn't run...and the rest?...a brilliant move that got the guy his 6th championship...geez...of course, it meant that the Horse did not share in any of the pool money...boooooooooo... There was a juggernaut along the way early in the 3rd period...where the head referee , missed two blatant calls...both to the advantage of Alabama ...one, that was a punt block, could have put the game out of reach...alas, not to be...he missed it...things happen...especially when loads of cash are bet on the game...now, who would ever insinuate a...

The undeniable highlight of the Golden Globes ...was the speech by Oprah Winfrey ...as she won the Cecil B. DeMille Award...pointed and right on...full of vim and vigor...and ah hem very presidential like ... is this the path that we are seeing...being started?...I reckon... An oh so quickee this am, as I have an early tee time...to get some hacking in before the rains hit...yup, I'm gonna take me rain suit, just in case...and yup, I am riding in case it hits...and I don't walk in the pouring down stuff...sure, I am from Orygun...and make that be clear, from there...not now... Tonite the D-1 Champ game...gonna root loud and hard for them Bulldogs...1st, cuz it puts me in the $...2nd, cuz I detest 'Bama's HC Saban...and 3rd, which is the same as number 2...let's have them teams score a gaggle of points, too...the over under is 45...boooorrring... Still haven't found the book 'Fire and Fury'...heard they had it at Costco...not the one I went to......

'Relax, they tell ya...have a drink or two' ...this is the mantra of the first of the most important award shows for the pretty people... The Golden Globes ... the predecessor to the Academy and Emmy Awards. ..they sit at round tables...laugh, joke, trade gossip...and generally, sweat out their chances at one of the prize statues... However...this time will be the legendary one ...hosted by the not so hidden, Prez T hater. .. Seth Myers ...and I do mean hater...his monologues on his talk show are filled with spew on Trump...we expect more of the same...couple that with the Weinstein dilemma...he has his opening bit, all taken care of...the ladies?...wearing black...in protest...ah yes, this will be a doozy... Am I gonna watch? ...why, of course I am...think about this... in most other countries, what he will say (probably will say) would get him time in the slammer ...maybe worse...to talk about the POTUS in a negative way, is a right that this USA allows...strap yourself...
