Hey, kids...another week is at the end...and it is FRIDAY! ...my memory of a former Teach friend, the late Jeannine Gann ...for brightening up the day...with h er singing of FRIDAY! ...I'll never forget it and her...geez, that's kind of sad and happy at the same time, huh...for you former, North High Vikings, you'll know what I am talking about... My blog title has to do with what Volkswagen has announced...that they are through with their production of the BEETLE! ... the Bug ...really?...in my time...I owned 2...and a camper van, to boot...but, the Beetle, was a thang...then, it became a throwback...the first one, was an economical tool of a car...no AC...the engine in the rear...small radio, shoot, small everything...I swear you could hear the rubber bands make the car go...then...they stopped making that style...at least to us...somehow, Mexico had and still have that version as Taxis... The re-entry of the car, the Bug , was done by VW in 2002 ...they called ...

Not THAT Stormy, kids...but the hurricanes on both coasts... both were downgraded ...yet still, have impact on the people and land beneath... the one in Maui, was selective ...lots of rain, and I am glad that we put off our trip 'til Saturday... the east coaster, is said to be a Cat 2 ...I'm sure you will see lots of coverage this day...it too, will carry HUGE amounts of rain...and the latest I am reading, possible tornadoes ...absolutely terrifying... In all of the preparedness, your guy Trump , couldn't stay on script ...talk about the efficiency of the local governments, the Coast Guard, FEMA, and him...he needed to bring up the recent catastrophe in Puerto Rico ...ranking his efforts as superior...something like that...and today?...he adds that the numbers of people who died there, due to the storm and the aftermath... is NOT what is reported at almost 3,000! ...they are lying, fueled by our Democrats to 'make him look bad'... listen, Donny, nobody HAS to...

I have been awaiting this date...of getting and reading the new Bob Woodward book, 'FEAR' ...yup, all about Trump and his White House ...his running of our country...his handling of his subordinates...his dealings with the press...well, let's just say, EVERYTHING! ...the leaks of it, have been extremely informative...sure, devastating...to him...and now, you and I can see it all in print...make your own mind up... The book was unveiled at midnight, east coast time...so, at 9pm ours, I was able to bring it up on iBook...and read the first 75 pages for free as a teaser. ..and yea, I'm going to hunt for it on hardback...my preference...today...let's just say, the first 75 were a great indicator of the rest of the story...I  reckon... Bob Woodward ...the author... was a co-collaborator with Carl Bernstein ...both of the Washington Post...of the infamous 'All The President's Men' ... the demise of another President...Nixon ...in the mid 70's...how ...

Just a very calm morning , here in the hood...planned on spending most of it, not golfing...doing the set up for the annual trip to Paradise...Maui ...dog grooming, packing, last minute needs for the excursion...normal stuff, for sure...and then... BOOM! ...I was gandering at Facebook...reading the plights of different people...and noticed this... the Nolz were told to hunker down in place ...you see, they are in Maui right now... What?...hunker down?...ah ha...after my antenna went up, I saw what was the item... a Hurricane was heading towards the Islands.. . Olivia ...category 1 at this time...and the expected date of arrival?... Tuesday nite or Wednesday ...yup, we were flying into a bloody STORM! ...so, the Horse started panicking...should we cancel?...maybe delay our arrival a few days?...is it too late to do this, without a whomping fine?... Turns out... we were able to delay EVERYTHING! ...lucky as the flights that we switched to, we could get the same type of upgraded ...

Hi!...how you all been?...have to admit there was wack going on yesterday...right?...here we go, on some observations from the mind of the Horse...some are debatable, for sure...send your comments my way...I can handle it...if you disagree, well, even if you AGREE!...I'm good... As I was cruising thru the scores of the D-1 Football games ...I noticed that there were a bundle of lopsided results ...like teams that were substantially better than others...you and I know, this is to pad the record and to pad the budget...for both teams and colleges... why else would you schedule a certain shellacking?...for the dough, of course... One that stood out...was the North Texas game...where they won 58-16 over Incarnate Word ...what?...wait, that's really a name for a U?...I have never, ever heard of that one before....hmmm...well, it's a relatively new one...their FB started up in '09...2009, that is... it is a Private Catholic U ...that plays in a home stadium of, gulp, 6,...
