The arena is packed...the nominees are in...all the seats are filled with those waiting for the results...and here we have... Horse's Best... and Worst of this year, 2016 ...sure, there were many ways we could go with these...some are just ridiculous...and too bizarre...some are heart warming....however, the lists are complete...do I start with the Best or with the Worst?...OK, let's go with the Best... BEST... The Election ...without a doubt the best story of the year...there is nothing even remotely close...nuttin...with DJ Trump emerging from nowhere...and trampling all the 17 in front of him...and then the impossible...beating the DNC's choice, for the past 12 years, Ms Clinton, in the final race...well, I couldn't write it like this a year ago...could anyone see this happening?...nope.. Da Cubbies ...it took 108 years of frustration for the dahlings of Chi Town to win the World Series...closet Cub fans rejoiced...way cool for the Pad fans as they had some of ...

Time for the weird and wack weather changes...yesterday, it got up to the high 70's ...we took a long bike ride to our fav deli over on Harbor Island...no wind whatsoever...it was surreal and wondrous...and...there were a million people milling about...and as many cars going nowhere...slowly....took a break...then went to an open air dindin spot in Little Italy for some cluck...you heard that right... cluck ...brand new one....with the Mackles...finished off the eve at their spot, high atop this building ...and I served as DJ...cranked up the Sonos...it was great fun...but... Today it is to rain...thunder and lightning ...hard to believe...as it is still mighty mild out right now...but, I believe them weather persons...it will change...dang... The most popular site for eating in SD is now Little Italy ...so many new restaurants and bars have opened...and, curiously, very few street people ...how does that happen?... Is it just me, or... Is the US showing how vulne...

Top of the morning, kids...as we enter the New Year , er, finish up the old one...whichever you choose...the major topic is how this feller, Donald J Trump , is gonna lead us ...think about it... he's never held office before ...and we, are at an impasse...what's happening?... The thing that he brings is what I just mentioned... he's never held office before ...is it diff than running a multi-billion dollar company?...well, if you ask any politician, they'd a tell you straight up... YES! ...hmmm... surround yourself with bright peops...think carefully about the topics and their input...and then make a judgment ... Another company trying to come back into the US ... Sprint ...is this due to the influence of Prez-elect Trump?...is this going to be a trend...or isolated?... Bring 'em back ... bring 'em ALL back ... The Horse has his feelings about the cabinet positions ...most of these past Presidents, just sift through and hire the same old peops...work...

OK, like some of you would never ever call us Native Americans ...to you, it's always been 'Indians' ...whatever...my topic of the day is not that...it's the casinos that are run on the reservation land owned by these people...got me brain a ticking while I am reading the latest John Grisham book , "The Whistler" ... You a gambler? ...unless you travel to Vegas, Reno, Tahoe, or Atlantic City ...you probably have another outlet now...in fact, 28 of the 50 states have this... Indian Casinos ...with sovereignty only by themselves... they pretty much can do what they want ...hmmm... 493 of them at last count!...what?... 244 tribes do the owning and running of 'em... Want some really cool thing?...try one of them maps of the different tribes throughout the country...just in case, you are a die hard Columbus believer...that he discovered America...you may see that the Natives were all over this country...inhabiting it ...while he so brazenly found it....

Morning, cats... the tee time is 7:28 , so I depart at 6:28!...egads...it will be like 41* when we start...and head on up to 71* ...so, I dress in layers...and, by all reports, the bulk of this week's hacking has to be early in the week... rain a coming ...what?...the most wet stuff we have had for the decade we've moved here... Shootings ... mass amounts in Chicago...like 12 killed over the Xmas weekend...over 40 shot in all...what?...what country are we in?...talk about needs to clean up a city...there is no better project...right?...has to be absolutely terrifying to live there... Continuing... au ugly 'social media' phenomena ... mall fighting ...you heard about this?...happened in over 6 malls throughout the country, YESTERDAY! ...starts in the food courts...I'm telling ya, we need some major overhaul in our security ...just saying... Morning kids...how was your Christmas Day? ...I trust it went well with your fam...hopefully, you got to gather with them...so important... you youngins, heed my thoughts on this ...BTW, we all were young at one time...ha ha...er, ho ho ...whatever... Our highlight was a dinner cruise on the Hornblower ....3 hr delight... the sightline was splendid and the food...was equal ...it was a buffet...with 2 floors used...I didn't know they had one this big...with 2 separate dance floors, to boot...just a terrific idea that Marsh came up with and we will do this again...I can't come up with a negative...and having the kids share it with us...well... a perfect time ... So how did your haul on the presents go?...gosh, I am so blessed with what I received...golf wear, some new wireless Beats headphones, some other way cool things...and a very unique one... a man, make that heman, necklace with a horse on it ... but the best? ... having the kids here ...no doubt...
