Out of the pack came the match play phenom Patrick Reed ...and settled in at the Masters with a masterful -9 ...his ploy?... birdieing each of the par 5's ...which is the mandate for this tourney...and off we go to the weekend...can he keep this up?...time, my good friends...time...which will make the Saturday, er 'moving day' worth the watch...it's real hard to have back to back great rounds... Is it just me, or is Rory swinging real fine?...a virtuoso of all swings...and my oh my, is he long...something tells me, he will be making the move today...I hope for the same for Jordan Spieth ...ah hem, this is why we have sports...the unknown... What is real and what looks real... one of the brat pack was interviewed about the severity of the Master's track... Rickie Fowler ...what it appears to be on the pixels and what it is actually...he said that the hacker at home (not really), couldn't break 90 on this course ...the greens are really terrifying to putt...

It was perfect weather for the golf in Augusta, Georgia...at the Masters ...it is like no other tourney that the pros play...filled with pressure that they don't feel any other time...out of nowhere emerged the 55 year old Vijay Singh ...to take the early lead...at -3...it was fun...nasty is the old codgers who tell the rest of the viewing world when the masses get to view what is going on...until noon, PDT... Fortunately, there is coverage...on your computer or mobile phone thru THEM , the owners of the Masters ...them old coots...sort of...they give you a couple of featured groups that YOU, the public, get...I mean GET ...have the privilege...to watch their quandary meandering about these hallowed grounds... Round one leader?... Jordan Spieth ...at -6 ...a terrific score right out of the gate...leads by two over the dude who sprained his ankle the day prior...celebrating a hole in one in the Par 3 T...an up and comer, Tony Finau ...and then...everyone else, is right there.....

Now THIS is the topic for the rest of the week for us heathen golfer wannabes... The Masters ...the, make that, THE tourney to win for them Pro Dudes...such a beautiful patch of ground down there, well, over there, in Georgia...yea, as I am writing this, they have already started...being 3 hours ahead of us...but, the T carries it's own agenda...and won't start showing the golfing world the play...until THEY deem it time... Where else does a Par 3 mini-tournament get so much coverage and notoriety?...a pre-cursor to the real thang...the myth and truth...the winner of it, has NEVER won the biggee...so, them dudes call it a 'curse' if you do win the 3...we had a special day, yesterday...as the vets, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson ...were the featured trio...Jack was in the hunt...and Tom was the victor!...great pixels...however, the highlight could have been...one of Jack's caddies...his high school aged grand son...knocked in a hole in1 at the 9th...

Often, as I excogitate about the day that has just gone by...I am amazed at how similar my eleven sources of information are...sure, 99% of the key articles are negative...who did what to whom...then, the follow up, the investigation...or lack thereof...the slants are where we are finding differences...if political, then we have the left and right...I'm telling you nothing new...just an observation... It's been a week or so, since we had a mass shooting ...alas, we got one yesterday...this time a woman...who went out for vengeance at the 'You Tube Headquarters' in San Bruno, Cali...shot 3, then took her own life...now the investigation...she was Muslim...and the why's are now piling up...just try to avoid the issue...you can't...it is everywhere...I see no reason to name her...the authorities?...of course, but the rest of us?...nope... BREAKING ...she was from San Diego...egads... I can't even believe I saw this... POTUS wants to increase the milita...

The voices of the disgruntled masses ...the actions thereof...just how does the common person show their displeasure with what is going on?...write a letter?...send off a text?...call someone?...go stand at the deciders's door?...and to whom are these going?...does it make a difference?...are they listening, hearing or watching?...listen kids, it DOES have an impact... And unfortunately, it is to the people that we (WE?) vote into office, to make the decisions that affect our daily lives...appears often, way too often, that the campaign promises are just those... PROMISES , with no validity...that once in the position of power, the chosen ones... CHANGE their minds...ah ha...and here we go...to what has happened often, in the past 6 months... Protests ...not since the ill fated and unceremoniously deadly Vietnam War, have the people of the United States gathered to show their displeasure as to what is being offered in the political arena... education is the hot bed of u...
