Nothing like starting your day off with a great cup of Joe ...olden version of the nowadays Starbucks ...I suppose...and do you get in your rig and go on down to the local drive thru?...in Oregon, it is Dutch Bros ...great stuff...most every other part of the world, it is Starbucks ...or do you brew your own?...like Folgers ...wait, do they still make that?...or I know a lot of peops use the Costco Brand ...dang cheap and dang good...Me?...I use a grind and brew...just got a new one, a Breville ...been with a Capresso forever...it has a thermal carafe to it...we'll see how that works...the cooking store I go to (yup, you heard me right) swears by it... Good News ...the beans are from everywhere...do like the French Roast stuff ...I like it rich and deep...like a good wine, almost indescribable... I was worried that someone was going to wake up the Trojans ...and they were the dominant team last night at Corvallis...for sure...controlled the line of scrimmage, thus, the game...a...

The best in the land...I'm talking hosses converge in LA this weekend...at Santa Anita Park...today it's the gals...and tomorrow the guys...the very best in the world...race for big $...and it is so fun to handicap these...I am heading out to the off track manana...The Breeder's Cup... The crazy NBA...fresh off a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Lake Show, the Clips hosted the big time uptempo Golden St Warriors...geez, another Native team...I digress...who themselves were big chested, after whupping the Lakers...and go and figure, the Clips won handily...as CPIII had a career game...scored like 40+ points...and was a major force...still, until the talented, yet blockhead bigs, can make some FT's, they will wallow in mediocrity...it's true...cuz I said it... I did catch a bit of the ASU/Coug game last eve...football, kids...and my oh my...the Sun Devils can put up the points...as they demolished WSU, up in Pullman...good...I am a hater of the coach...as ...

There is no day like it... this goofy day of mischievous acts and actions ...and you bet, I am heading on out to Sycuan for some of that there golf...9:04 Tee...so I always leave an hour early to sign in, warm up, and chatter like a ghost...I am still taking a cart...you know,  preventative stuff...but am itching to pack me bags... Get this...I had my yearly at the eye doctor ...and my vision IMPROVED! ...how can that be?...I'm old and it's supposed to go the other way, right?...must be due to the BP meds...I guess...that's kind of halloweeny, si?... Big Papi ended the Series at .688 ...and won the MVP ...the Cards wouldn't pitch to him...walking him 4 times, I think...and the Bosox rambled through and easily won the clincher in game 6...some big hullabaloo about not clinching since 1918...ha ha...every year is a diff year, kids... way cool that Peavy (former Pad) got a ring... The Heat and the Lake Show had back to back games in their season...already...an...

The NBA cranked up it's season last eve...and one of the match ups was the battle of LA ... the Lake Show versus the Clips ...and everyone, I mean EVERYONE , had the Clippers in a rout ...not so fast my friends...there is this thing called depth...and the Lake Show has it, and the Clips do not... in fact, the purple gang's backups played so well, that their coach didn't take them out in the 2nd half. ..turned out to be a laugher for them...a week ago this blogger, Crazy Horse, stated that this version of the Lakers was energetic and fun to watch...all this without Kobe... The Clips ...new coach, different parts to the 2nd unit...and...the same big men...and what on earth was up with Blake Griffin? ...as the TV analyst Reggie Miller said "it's obvious Griffin didn't do too much in the off season." ...he was awful...constantly  standing around...played little D...the other big, DeAndre Jordan, was working his butt off...and their star PG, Chris Paul....

So I got all the way out to Sycuan for my round of all golf this am...and, WHAT? ...cancelled...what?...it had rained I guess...a bit cool, at 58*...and the grounds were sloppy...so the game was put off...you Oregonians would have been laughing...I mean, belly laughs...oh well, had too much vino last eve anyway...I'm sure it would have made my game suffer... Speaking of suffering...losing two of three at home, Saint Looey , set itself up for a bridesmade finish...sorry, Cards, but it's true...there is no stopping the Bosox ...and Big Papi is batting .733?...what?...unheard of numbers...put the trophy in Boston right now... DWTS. ..don't know how the former Scientoligist gal stays in the running...nasty attitude...and generally dislikable...maybe not more so than Snooki, who got the boot...and the old fart Len, was in decent form for a change... I did watch the tape of the Duck game ...their D is certainly unheralded...I like it...and how the Bruin LB's didn't...

The continuance of the bizarre in the Series...as the game ends on "da pick" ...as the Bosox secure their win with a pick off of the special runner at 1st...oddly stated, huh...with the best Saint Looey hitter at the plate...the tying run...as this set of games goes on...tied 2-2...bad beisbol, kids...however, give credit to the Boston closer, Koji Uehara ...one more game in the midwest... NFL ...the Bolts rested...and the bigs kept going ...KC, GBay, and Denver won...and how about the Detroit win over the Boyz...I tell you, pressure up Romo, and he folds like no one else...tonight, the Seahawks are at the Rams...a lot of pundits have Seattle as the best in the league...let's just see about that...this eve...the prob?...Saint Looey is without their QB...eegads...a stomp... by the way, that town has a baseball and a football going on at the same time....is there that many fans there?...I mean c'mon... BSBCS ...go figure... the Ducks move back into 2nd ...OK, ...

In a game of a finite set of rules , which is called in infinite ways ... BASEBALL carries itself like no other major sport... cloaked in antiquity ...resisting all modern changes that are available...and lends itself to second guessing and in many cases, ultimate humiliation...either to the players, coaches, or to the umpires...or all...where as an "in the neighborhood" play at 2nd base is called a definitive out...well now, it's historically called like that...to the utmost of all ambiguity, the essence of the game itself, "the strike zone"...which floats like a butterfly like no other...where no other sport has an umpire make a call on every single play in the game...well...you might say, it is a perfectly imperfect contest...OK... The World Series ...where the two best teams arrive at the gate of immortality...the hallowed grounds of being the champs...get themselves the ring of distinction...and bask in the glory forever...
