CRAZY HORSE

Yup, we finally went to a flick ...in the movie house...and yup, we have the same thoughts as before...how in the world can the structures stay in business?...we were but 8 of us in the theater...anyway...it cost us $31 for the seats plus a bag of popcorn and a diet coke...hmmm... The positive? ...all the freedom to sit where you want...and the humongous screen...and the fantastic sound...that is propelled all over the place...way cool...and...we loved the movie... "Aloha" ...which has been getting panned by the "experts"...not so, by us... Three main characters...portrayed by Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, and Rachel McAdams ...for you serious Horse followers, you KNOW how I feel about the latter...anyway...the flick is based in Hawaii...and for the love of, well, you know...the scenery itself is worth the price of admission... The negative? ...the cost of it all...what I normally do...is buy the bloody thing for $20...when it comes out in Blu-ray...however...

Morning kids...a trip back into time today on this good Friday...when we first made a trip to this city, SAN DIEGO , to stay for a bit...it was a RCI exchange for our Sunriver property ...a week...we did that sort of thing a lot...it was way cool...actually went all over the country using that benefit...anyway... It was the time that the baseball park was in it's initial stages in downtown...there wasn't any of these high rises that you see now...in fact, we looked at plans for one being built that looked right into that piece of land, that was to be the now, Petco Park ...we determined that it was way too steep for our pockets...seems like we were talking around 2000...there about... 5th Street was wonderful...like it is now...many of the same restaurants and bars...and we were thrown back at the ease of walking all over the place...remember having a cigar at one of them...an Italian spot...and marveled at the Island of Coronado...BTW, that's where we did go yesterd...

Ah yes, the sweet sounds of the Stones ...and it fits the same feeling as the Pads , who actually won a series...!!!...against the Angels...and Golden St moved on to the finals in the NBA...I don't a lika the Rockets...and the rumor is, the Stones love this area and are staying around... here are the facts, mam... San Diego has been an underachieving club for sure...and loads of Q's as to why...and an equal amount of excuses prevail...it's a game, kids...played by blokes in the prime of their sports life...it's also one that has a load of momentum in it...hitting...probably none more infectious than in beisbol...once a couple get going, others do too...if their are true talented guys in the lineup...and we have them...lots of verbage there... And Buddy Ball...my problem is how he manages the game...as you know...BUT...the last 3 he has done things outside of his norm for the last 9 YEARS!...he has used the bunt...I repeat, he has used the bunt...and set up his hit...

Top of the morning kids ...it's so much better today...yesterday had a number of setbacks and had to cancel me golf....but...it turned out all OK... Yes, we finally pulled the trigger on the new vehicle...complicated path...as had to take me car to Carmax ...and get it appraised...which the car companies recommend...here's the scoop... Carmax ...first of all, the place is a zoo...there are so many people roaming all over...and I'm talking the buyers, the sellers, and the agents...you leave your number...roam the yard...and they call you...and then...like in my case...you sit at a table...and wait your turn to have your car evaluated...they have 4-8 blokes doing that...and on the computer screen you can see where you are on the lineup...this is what they do...secondly, you spend your time spinning your wheels...chatting to the agents...waiting...waiting... The car place is unbelievable...they are highly reputed...as the vehicles are cleaned up nicely...have a circuit...

Guess who's in town tonight?...none other than the Rolling Stones ...as some have renamed them the Rolling Bones...as to their age...fuggit about it...as they have survived in a biz that very few have...I'm dang proud of them blokes.. ."start me up"...the Stones ...however...the cost of the tix are way up there...so what we'll do is go near by and hear them wail for a bit...it's down at Petco Park...the site of them Padres...7 blocks away... Due to the Memorial Day 3 day weekend...there are countless peops all over this area...we were out last night, and I can tell you that this was the most we've ever seen here...not that there isn't a lot to do...Wynonna was on the Midway for a concert...remember her?...she actually puts on a great concert...we saw her way back when... "when"...the Kalin Twins ...the House of Blues had a line around the corner...the Comedy Club had the same...and on and on... By the way, after golf yesterday I watche...
