Morning kids...well, all of us Duckee fans are in mourning ...so to speak...as Arizona burst our bubble again ...that's two years in a row...and exposed UO for what is real... The Wildcats are mirror images of the Ducks ...except... THEY DO IT BETTER! ...same speed up O...cagey QB...that use their speed more...and they are innovative defensively... Lets' start with the D ...excuses abound about injuries...gosh, everyone has 'em... we have a new coordinator ...that appears to be way below what is needed...I have seen all the games...and he doesn't make adjustments ...in fact, he had an extended week to get ready for UA...and after half...the Wildcats did WHATEVER they wanted... One of the best parts of the former head coach, and O coordinator, Chip Kelly, is that you just didn't know what he was going to call ...not so with his successor...way too predictable...albeit, he has one of the best QBs in the land....but doesn't have the same aura in play cal...

Let's say that the Crosby, Stills, and Nash Concert was not what we expected... 1st of all, the venue ...the Civic Center...the acoustics were, ah hem, turrible...it was hard to hear the voices...more of a wall of sound... 2nd, the set was started fine...old stuff (duh)...and we were rocking...the crowd was filled with whitish hairs...well, we are that era of groupies, right?...and then...they went slow and, well, boring....way too long of it...and the entire audience went limp...just telling you the truth...lordy, I must have seen them at least 10 times...and this was the most laborious of the lot... 3rd, maybe, it's that we were still tired from the trip ...I dunno...anyway, we walked home...and watched Survivor... The beisbol playoffs have begun...and I fear that the best in the biz may be from LA...hate the bums...I will watch...but pull for the teams other than from lala land... The Ducks host the undefeated Arizona Wildcats this eve...should be a lot closer than...

I'm baaaaaccckkkkkkk!!! If it's Wednesday, it must be the betting line...OK, I know some of youse guys are not too interested in the bookies and their ideas...but I am... It also affects all of us who have fantasy football teams...and that is REAL important...ha ha... Only one home team dog, in the NFL...the lowly Jax...and the rest...are all favs...biggest spread is the NO/TB match...the Saints by 10... Thursday eve is redemption day for the Ducks against the UofA...as they gut whipped in the valley of the sun last year...the line is 23...hmmm...seems like a lot to me...with the Quackers D not so good... Numero uno, FSU by 38 over Wake...who are barely so... Stanford over the Irish by 1...in the midwest....hmmm...big game for both... Florida over Tennessee by 2 1/2...in Orange....hmmm.... The Beavs favored over Colorado...there...really?... SDSU dogs at Fresno...ugly game... Beisbol...what a beaut in the wild card game...deja vu with our cast off, Gregerson.....

So, it was a 4 hour delay...getting on the airplane to get back to SD...and back OFF!...there is no messing around with a bad part on an engine...not injun....they gave us vouchers and free goodies...and a coupon for a $125 for another flight...the problem with me...the wearing off of my flight pills...it all worked out and we got home after 1 am in the morning...eegads... I have been pretty much a zombie all day long...doing laundry, catching up on a lost credit card, going to the grocery store, filling the rig with gas...should be a early night I suppose... The end of MLB is upon us...well, the season...and no...the Pads are NOT in the playoffs again...and yes, the mgr, Buddy, is retained...hmmm... Off to the bank...good to be back though.... My regular blog will kick back into full throttle this week... By the way, my iPhone 6 Plus is supposed to arrive today...

Good afternoon kids...its been 2 weeks here in very hot Maui...and humid.  We have been graced with Cris and Leila staying most of the time with us...lots of swimming...beverages...food...golf... The highlight has to be Cris first hole in one....at Kahilli...very cool...and then we had a grudge match at the Plantation Course at Kapalua...which the elder one, got the youngster... What a dismal effort by the US in the Ryder Cup...I sense Lefty was not too happy with the way Coach  Tommy managed the team...I agree...maybe, it made no diff... We fly back tomorrow...it's been a great time...as Marsha and I celebrated our 40 th anniversary... Geez, the Bolts just may be for real...
