CRAZY HORSE

With a day to wander the streets of Salem. we took full advantage of it...starting with the bloody rain, and ending with some oddly warmish weather...the excursion ranged the 4 corners of this ever expanding city...ie, the Willametter Valley Vineyards (one of our investments) which is filled with more and more warehouses...restaurants...bars...fast food joints...one thing, less number of weed markets...gots to think that are jobs all over this place...very encouraging... A reminder hitting me right thru the eyes, NO SALES TAX...the price is what it says it is...coo...homeless?...sure, but due to the weather, they are tented up...appeared to be spread out, too...where do they get their food?...today. I may head on down to the outlets...or to Fred Meyers...as we await our departure to Eugene for the Duck game...ah, the reason for moi coming here...7:30 pm start, which is absolutely bogus, man...around 4?... One more item...the way the local high school football playoff system works, all ...

' Way up north to Alaska'...well, that's the song, but not exactly where the Horse has landed...the title hit was also used for the movie 'North to Alaska', by Johnny Horton...who had some others like...'Sink the Bismarck'...'The Battle of New Orleans'...kind of his thang...died in '60 in a traffic accident...must mention that the flick 'North to Alaska' was starring none other than John Wayne...well. I got carried away...up north is here in Salem, Orygun... Rain?...you betcha...dang, there is that Alaska influence again...(Sarah Pahlin)...here we go. but just north of us...they are saying there is a 'fire hose' of that stuff...not so much right in this area...whew!...as San Diego is to be a mere 87* today...well, kids, that is just too hot...must be one of them 'dry heat' thangers... Meeting people as one travels is always a trip...in itself...almost all lamenting that they are leaving sunshine for worse weather...much wo...

Tradition?...is that what the center piece of YOUR Thanksgiving is? ...the TURKEY? ...used to be...as the parents past on... sadly...we have lost most of the concept of family gatherings...is this normal? ...I dunno, as the times have changed, we have been stuck in the earlier years...our earlier years...commentary?... I will say, that when we were shopping at Von's yesterday, I have never seen a greater amount of turkey breasts for sale...than ever before ...not the whole turkey, but just the breast...hmmm, which kind of leads me into the query of the day...holding on to the turkey, but NOT the large gatherings...perhaps, it has to do with the Covid 19...perhaps...ah, Von's is the same as Safeway, the name in other parts of the country... This is Veterans Day ...as we the people, honor those who served in the armed services for the safety of our land...we thank you...why isn't this on a Friday or Monday, to get the day off?...c'mon...er, make it a 4 day 'weekend...

'Lock them up!' ...well, he said 'lock her up'...if they refuse the subpoena, they might get that after all...locked up... I kind of don't get it...the way he treated all 'his' peo...

For a myriad of different reasons, the Horse fam was awakened around 12:30 last eve ...you could say we were a 'Woke Mob' ... I blame this on the 'Fall Back' crap that we are in now ...dark at 5, seems like we should be hitting the hay at 7...we are all screwed up...this happening in your house?...anyhoo, we did what we had to do...took the meds and all...within the next hour we were all in a 'Sleep Mob' ....of course, Sammi was out 1st, then Boss Lady...finally I drifted away...the adjustment time table is needed... Prior to getting any shut eye, stared at the pixels as the Bear/Steeler game was on...the infamous no more, Monday Night Football...listen, kids, I have no dog in the race, but... the officiating just stunk ...like there was $ on the line for the striped shirts bloke...yup, it was that bad...refs, this is a contact sport...you understand?...Pitt won, but the outcome was determined long before the final horn went off...just sayin'... For blokes like me, at 6 am...there is light , and not dark ...which means I can golf earlier.. .thanks to the Fall Back time ... for the hard earning daily workers, it means they CAN'T until this season is OVER ...at 5, when they get off work, it is near pitch black...thus, advantage oldsters...which is the entire legislation of ALL the USA...shoot, the round is over at 11...drinks at 11:30...and the nap starts at 1...perfect.. .wait, am I talking Congress folk or golfers? ...could be one the same...right, Lindsey Graham?... The polls show that Prez B has his lowest approval RATINGS...at 38% ...hmmm...OK...he just got the infrastructure bill passed...what do 'they' want?...the gamble of the car falling off the crumpled old bridge, while 'they' drive over it?... all right, not all polls are significant...especially knowing that very few people I KNOW, ever get polled ... but somebody feels that way...could be a poll of 100 cattle ranchers in...well, you get me drift...

Back?...back in the election of '18 in Californeeeiiia ....statewide vote, mind ya.. .the public chose to have yearlong daylight savings time ...alas, the STATE LEGISLATURE thought otherwise...and have yet to pass it into law...well, their part of it... it's one of them 2/3rds vote thangers ... is this a political issue?...weird huh...nevertheless, we are falling back...like the rest of you...of course, I am up an hour behind, now...or is that ahead?...I dunno...
