Number 7 ...is in Houston...the game last nite was a beaut...for awhile...then the Astro bats opened up...along with a very ambiguous strike zone by the home plate umpire ...walks and hits...in a bunch was the difference...and on we go to the game that puts the winner in the World Series...you have a fav?...well, I don't... The NBA is in full swing...odd happenings with some very early injuries...leg stuff ...usually happens after the season is in mid flight...affecting quite a few of the teams... Got some get views yesterday... Golden St came back from 17 down to beat Boogie's new club, New Orleans...Pelicans?...what?...geez, he's a hard dude to ref for...could toss him almost any time...the refs don't, but I'm sure they are on the verge... Portland did another big number on the road...this time in Indy...this after b...

Morning, kids... a slight change in our weather ...the heat, my gawd, the heat...has subsided for a few days...nice...back to the 70* stuff...with the open windows and fresh air upon us...whew...this is what we bought into... The battle for LaLa went down last eve at Staples Center... the Clip Joint and the Lake Show ...no doubter...as there is a huge gap between 'em... HUGE ...and probably for the rest of the league and the... Lakers...who are horrible ...the Ball kid got his comeuppance...or whatever one calls it...as the Clips, especially, Pat Beverly, worked the kid over...listen, the daddy put the kid in a bad position... he's not a superstar...he can play, but can't shoot ...the Clippers?...hard to tell, but, certainly better than the other LA team... LA...Bums ...made it a no doubter in the closing of da Cubbies series...11-1, something like that...as Enrique Hernandez (Puerto Rico!!!) hit THREE dingers ...er, home runs...and off they go to the World Ser...

What a start for the Trailblazers! ...an unbelievable 48 point win ...let me restate... FORTY-EIGHT! ...with the starters on the bench in the 4th quarter...in Phoenix...hey, they were doing this in the pre season, too... maybe there is some carryover after all ...cooking on all cylinders...hmmm, is that right?...nevertheless, it was fun to watch...and let's see where this goes... The Hayward kid had surgery on his ankle and is done for the season for them Celtics...tough break...literally...hmmm, and they lost game number 2...too...will definitely be Kyrie and the gang...now ...can't catch the Cavs like that... A tad bit late today, kids...a type of a belated birthday celebration with our amigos, them Mackles ...other than a horrendous head ache ...call it what you want... I am slowly coming around ...had to drop out of the golf...a fact that has a hidden meaning...more later... Got home to kinda watch an odd 4th Q of the Rocket / Warrior opening NBA game...Houston won it...as they survived a made shot by GS's Durant...a fraction of a second after the game ending buzzer...and did see the lowlight of the busted ankle of the newly acquired Hayward, of the Celts ...awful for him and them...a dagger... Another comeback by them Yankees ...weird one...as they were getting whupped...4-0...playing poorly....and then... the Judge hit a dinger and the place went crazy!...and it all changed...the diff?...the relief pitching from NY to Houston... The Bums are trying to make short work of da Cubbies ...didn't see that coming...up 3-0...and doing just enough to win... .C is not hitting...

If it's worth anything, you gotta work hard for it...no pain, no gain...buckle up and here we go...suck it up...got to get to the mountain top ...the list of motivational mottos are out there...and if you were on a team, some time in your life...you heard 'em...or lived by them...maybe you still do...could have been where you worked...in an office...surely, if in the service, you lived by a bunch...is this not what we do?...establish goals...and then work towards them?... There are blokes and blokettes who make gazillions of dollars, running motivational seminars ...that many businesses, schools and franchises buy into...we hire them, and spring the 'good word' upon our employees...yes, this will inspire YOU to do better... produce more, use better use of your time, put on a happy face, and generally, improve your malaise... Could it not be, that you are at YOUR spot, cuz you just like it?...like your boss...and like your pay...and like the people surrounding yo...

Well, there goes me fantasy football season!... Aaron Rogers goes down with a broken collarbone ...through for the NFL season and mine, too... Collegiate football went on an unprecedented weekend of upsets ...just could be that there is more parity about, then I reckoned...well, for everyone but Alabama ...who appears to be heads and shoulders above the rest of the country...no more evident than in the wild, wild west... The two elite, from the PNW... Washington and WSU ...got their tails handed to them...the Cougs in a stomp at Cal, and the surprise of surprises, the Dawgs losing at 'Zona...go figure... Utah went for the entire shebang, when they went for a 2 point conversion to beat USC...and didn't get it and lost...egads... UCLA got thumped at ASU...Mora may be coach number 2 handed his walking papers in this league...the OSU coach was the first, and his remaining troop, nearly got a huge upset over Colorado...didn't though...and there was the Ducks...
