Round 2 of the Triple Crown... the Preakness ...out of Baltimore at the Pimlico Race Track ...we have a situation...the weather...it's been raining since early in the day...so...how does that affect the Derby winner, Nyquist? ...here's the answer...NOBODY knows...watch closely for the trainers and owners to scratch their horses...definitely adds a twist to the race...I doubt if I wager on it...I only have the fav...and the odds are way low... Call me a bad Padre ...the game with the Bums was going on and on...close...but...in the top of the 8th....we were up one...and had our setup guy, Maurer, going...he is a good one...throws upper 90's...and BOOM!... LA got an off field dinger to put the enemy up...boo...that was it...ye of no faith, then went to sleep ...alas...the unimaginable happened...the impossible...a fairy tale finish...as BJ (oops, Melvin, Jr) Upton hit a game winning 2 run home run ...what?... Pads win!  Pads win! ...shame on me...and I call myself a loya...

Morning kids ...as I am up early...have some time to talk...before I head on out to the links...figure today and tomorrow is the last for a couple of weeks...I know, TMI...however, did watch some of them sporting events yesterday...and for goodness sakes, the ROUT is on... The East ...as the Cleveland Cavs are making a mockery of that side of the bracket...undefeated and untouched... the hapless Toronto Raptors are not only mismatched, but sorrowfully undercoached ...geez, is that even a word?...they even had a bloke walk off the court, and head on in to the locker room during play time in the 1st half...unhurt...just disgusted....I'd give that guy the heave ho...I just read that back..."play time"...ha ha... Lebron James is dominating...so called the King ...mmm... Morning kids...how's the weather where you are?...cloudy am here in the hood...going thru a lot of preparation for the upcoming 2 weeks...lots happening... I am a checklist type of guy ...so...have a couple of 'em due to the Vegas trip and then the Wedding trip ...one by plane and one by the train... Anyone who had the notion that the Thunder were going to go into Alameda and steal 2 games...well, you had the reality check last eve...as Steph Curry went off ...and so did the Warriors ...in  a rout...even the series up at 1....and now they head on to Oky City for a pair...this just feels like a 7 gamer, right?... Mitt Romney, remember him?...has finally tabled his notion of coming up with a 3rd party to combat the Donald...never works...as the dude who he wanted (other than himself) wanted nothing to do with it...so off he runs into the San Diego sunset...into his billion dollar mansion...counting his $... You know, most of my comments on the poli-ticks have been about the Repubs in the past month...this is true...not today...as the closeness of the race of the Demos is almost just that...too close to call...look at the southern state of Kentucky. ..where the Hilz has been the chosen one in the south...the people voted...and even though she declared herself the winner, the actual tally...is TOO CLOSE TO CALL! ...the other state that measured up yesterday, Oregon ...made Bern the victor... So what gives?...if you could...and this is what the Sanders people want ...to alienate the Super Delegate fiasco that the Demos lord over the real voters...it is a very, very close race...and...the Bernie faithful have risen up...the ground swell, I like to call it...they want who they have chosen... not what the DNC wants to shove down their collective throats ...I get it...the emotions are "BOILING OVER!" ... This whole dilemma puts a temporary halt to the Trump/Clinton banter ...

Well now, what do we have here?...a couple more states putting their own marks on this historic run to the White House ...me old one of Orygun ...and the southern need of Hilz, in Kentucky ...the Beavs do it right...it is a mail in vote ...outside of casting votes online, this is the next best method...so says the Horse...your prognostications?...hmmm...I'm tickled that the Bern is still hanging on...not really sure why...ha ha... Time heals all wounds, right? ...I think that is the theory that the Donald is using...as more peops are falling into line with his impending nomination...more and more talk about who he will pick as his running mate...from the sublime to the ridiculous...you have probably heard or read the names.... Top of the morning to ya"ll...had a great rest after 3 days of intense linkdom ...so to speak...how was your weekend?...full of fun and festivities?...hope so...let's get it going... The Member/Guest T was eerily similar to last year's...the final day of competition was kind of tough... maybe even bruta l...as we were paired with some real type golfers... 3 and a 6 hdcp dudes...who hit it over 320 with no problem ...hey, Cris can hang with them...me, the Claven, can not..."nice shot, Mr Shepard"...pity, I suppose...anyway, we gave it a go...lost to them by 5...mostly due to moi's awful chipping...ha ha...oh well... One of the dudes played on the same high school team as Rickey Fowler and Jamie Lovemark ...like real pro golfers...he hit the ball so far, that even if he was wayward, he still had but a wedge to most greens...I'm hitting a 6 iron...ha ha...but... both were great kids...and it was eye-popping to see some guys play the game that way......

Morning kids...just a short one this am...we are on day 3 of the Member/Guest T out at Sycuan, as you know... Cris and I had a terrific round yesterday...in 3rd place out of 25 teams in our flight...last year we were 6th...so...improvement!... We had a guy that really hit it 300+ yards off the tee...egads...in the group...was way cool, cuz we were hitting it out dang good...30  to 40 yards shorter. ..but...we were chipping and putting well, er better than that long knocker... hey, it's so much fun playing in this thing with my son...could care less if we get in the $ ...that's just a sweet bonus... Today is the hard one...as both scores count ...yesterday, was a best ball...which means we both have to be on to be in the hunt...we'll see...just do our best...keep it in play and make some putts... it's all fun ...
