When we talk about pop singers , like of the decade... the really good ones ...what names pop up in your mind?...hmmm, well we watched a special on one of them...that has hit after hit...in many genres, too... Linda Ronstadt ...this was on CNN... the show was a spectacle of the many songs she has sung over the years ...and, reminded me of the amazing ability she had to craft the songs, 'into her own' ...gosh, how many times do we hear that phrase on the present day 'singing shows'?... In that era, 60's ...there were no talent based tv shows...to 'find' the new hit artist...you had to gamble your talent, and travel to LA to get 'found' ...man oh man...like the many kids of that time....countless numbers, Cass Elliot, David Crosby, John Sebastian, ah, the list goes on and on ...and Linda ...sang where ever they could...get noticed...didn't take long for her, at 18...her first hit was with a group, the Stone Poneys ...then, off she went... ...

Just what is he doing now?...by 'he', I mean Trump...for sure, as you know by now...that is a very questionable thought...the authorization of the killing of a general in the Iranian Army...by a Drone Strike...the word may be 'justifiable?...in Iraq...let's explore... Because we have no 'Fire side chats'...'State of the Union addresses'...you know where I am going with this...no sit down by the President...and talk to the Nation...we are left with messaging via the web net, thru Tweets...there are no more press conferences by anyone in his cabinet...NONE!...so WE are left in the dark...what is really going on?...are we to trust what he does?...cuz, we have no idea what he is saying... Are you worried about escalation of violence, like a retaliation, from Iran?...hmmm...did Trump factor that in when he ordered the strike?...how do we know?...does he have a plan?...many, are fearing just that...an uptick in the skirmish with that country...think abou...

An experience...my first time at the Rose Bowl ...to be fair, an antiquated structure of yon ago ...the chairs reminded me of a cheap airplane...ah, little leg room...but...the layout was way cool... it was gradually arisen from the ground ...much different from modern day buildings, that go straight up...the  Bowl itself, is down in a valley...adjacent to a golf course...where the abundance of the parking was done...the hub of countless tailgaters...all fan-tastic and well structured...when you are hosting 90,000 folks...there must be space...for them to congregate and wonder about...done... Of course, the worst part...is the departing of the area....so many people trying to git out after the game...it's dark and there are very few markers or flashlight toting worker bees...took us at least 45 minutes to clear the golf course...such as it is... The game ...no better adjective than 'terrific!'...the Wisconsin Badgers came in masses...at least half of the 90 grand ...

This is the first time for the Horse...to attend the Rose Bowl ... 'the grand daddy of them all' ...well, it used to be ...times have changed due to the playoffs...so, the champ game is really the ultimate ...nevertheless, it is a once in a lifetime thinger ... The drive from our pad, is about 3 hours ...heading up the 5 to Pasadena...the problem?...the bloody LA traffic...second to none for frustration...you who have driven in it, KNOW exactly what I am talking about...well now, the expert picker from the PNW, Snooki, flew down here to get to the game... Oregon vs Wisconsin ...Ducks vs Badgers...the line?.. .steady at 3 favoring the midwesterners ...the temp?...62*, I think I have seen...anyhoo, it will be an experience...and one I am really looking forward to... GO DUCKS!... The rest of the bowl games... my inept prognostication continues ...missing 3 of 4 yesterday...listen, I could have done better flipping coins...ha ha...hey, when you are on the bottom, at l...

I am going to open with the newest tragedy... another shooting ...this time in a CHURCH! ...Texas...I guess that is termed 'the west' ...as it is so from the pixel capitol of the USA...west of NYC ...by now, you should have seen the video of the terror ...people worshiping in a 'safe' house of the religion ...why would someone do such a thing?...just look at who is in the premise...why them?...and...due to the lack of gun control in our land...not only does the killer have a weapon, but so do the parishioners...and those who guard the people in the church...notice I said, 'guard' the people...we have gotten to this level... is this what the NRA leadership wants?...gun fights?...is this what OUR leadership wants?... BTW, the killings took a total of SIX seconds... I am appalled ...not by those who came to protect the people...but, from the leadership of our country to allow this to happen ...of course, the response from them will be 'our thoughts and ...

There were 3 elite teams the entire season, so says moi...in the NCAA Collegiates football ... LSU , Ohio St and Clemson ...try as the committee may, they tried to find a 4th ...ended up with defenseless Oklahoma ...and THAT'S the way it looked like yesterday in the semis... LSU in an absolute laugher over the Sooners...good gosh, the Tigers had 49 at half...football, kids... the 2nd game was a donnybrook ...with the Tigers ( another?) scoring in the last minute and a half to win...then, survived a huge scare at the end...OK...so there you go...the finals are set... LSU and Clemson ... This may be a humongous case for the questionable officiating in the games...both of them, ya'll... is it that there are not enough quality refs out there?. ..if so, and if you are so destined...get YOUR stripes and improve this lot...even with replay, these guys missed the infractions...at times, it makes you wonder...who is behind all this...something smells...and, for goodness sakes, ...
