CRAZY HORSE

It was a fun, entertaining first game of the series...until it wasn't ... the mighty Padres had ample opportunities to win it in OT...with the ludicrous rule used for extra innings games...start with a bloke on 2nd... we STILL couldn't get the run in ...thus, in the Horse's eyes, didn't deserve the W... might we thought of a bunt with but one out, and the winning run on 3rd? ...two innings in a row?...then the Bums mauled our RP in the 12th and that was that... Listen kids, it had a 'playoff atmosphere' to it...the initial matchup with LaLa, which has 19 of them this season ...I consider this one a test and a look see to where we actually are...too many mistakes, and not just by the players...game 2 today, and let's hope for more of the better stuff... Rampant ... the number of mass shootings in the country ...45 in the past month?...all over the map, too...threats on the VP Kamala Harris...what is going on?...what part of civilization do we live in?.....

The games that we in San Diego, WANT to see...the first series with the Bums...as the mighty Padres host...there are rampant rumors out there...that there is to be 33% capacity...?...that our SS Tatis, Jr is gonna return....that LaLa worked their rotation of SP to be at full strength for us...ah, what the people want to see...are the Pads moving on up?...them pundits are shouting out raves of the Dodgers...probably deservedly...we shall see... Another mass shooting...at a Fed Ex place...8 killed + numbers wounded...the killer then took his own life...reportedly a rapid fire rifle used...again... On the brighter side...wondrous weather here in Indio...the mini trip to Palm Springs a gas...and the capper of the jaunt to the casino, was tummy filling great...not so much the gambling...it was a one way ticket from my wallet to their coffins...BTW, masks required everywhere in the place... Packing up Cosmo for the return to SD...I will finish this up, when we get there...later on today...en...

On our return trip to San Diego, we get the honor to stay in Indio again, at them Morrises palatial estate...which breaks up the drive from Havasu, but gets us the chance to catch up on all the juicy gossip from our homeland in Keizer, Orygun...as they entertain, often, the folks who need a getaway from there...anyhoo, we are especially grateful for homing pad...ah, why isn't that 'greatful?'...damn the English... And...we used a different path this time....went thru Blythe, and then on the 10...a bit longer, but much much safer...as we WILL return to Lake Havasu...this next time for a longer period... So, what's been going on in YOUR world?...the Covid dominates, of course...and the great state of Arizona, hmmm...where we were, the concept of a mask, is virtually non-existent...in fact, they may lecture you about it...when we wore ours, we GOT big stares...as we had to be invaders from elsewhere... The warmth of the sun, is the name of the game for this city...Havasu City...we are in the 90's...and hit the massive pool twice yesterday...started with a bike ride around the island...a bit much, considering we started latesh...and it was hot hot hot...the 2nd part of it, will be this am, after I am through writing...remember the water, kids...then, back into the pool...we did rent a golf cart...which we vowed to do when we were here last...this site is huge, and it is, well, sweltering...and that's the way we traveled to the Boathouse for din din...which has the most humongous portions a person can possibly get...of course, I started it off,  by dumping my salad all down my front...ALL DOWN!...as I am aging, I am also developing this style...cluts... How about them mighty Padres!...now 4 wins in a row, getting number 1 in Pitt...Wil Myers with 5 RBI's...and Darvish spot on...Blake Snell goes today...hey, the Bums series is at Petco, not in LaLa Land this weekend...normal...

Morning, kids...as we have been about...driving and setting up...Cosmo...resting in the great state of Arizona...heat, my gawd, the heat...as Marsh says' life in the tube'...well, at least it's above ground, my dear...Lake Havasu...one of the great wonders of the west...the unlikely history abounds....the city was made by a very rich bloke who created a canal...who erected a bridge, ah, the London Bridge using actual bricks from the original...Robert P. McCulloch...the chain saw dude...get this, a relatively NEW city...done in 1964...cool, huh... How bout them Padres...swept the Rangers and the guys are on a roll...fly into Pittsburgh for a set...with their eyes and the rest of SoCal on the upcoming battle with the Bums in LaLa Land this next weekend...ah, SD, don't get caught up in this...YET...take care of the Pirates...
