Morning, kids...we have a new month... October ...which in my boooook, is the one of football ...pretty much in full swing now...and find it utterly ridiculous that baseball is still playing ...check out the awful weather up in the northeast...hey, MLB, either start earlier...or cut your season down just a bit...I digress...lookee at the Aztecs at South Alabama...and the Ducks at the Cougs...egads....I got to see some collegiates go at it last night... Which was billed as a top fray between two top 10ers ...turned out to be a laugher...as the Dawgs destroyed the Stanford Cardinal...in Seattle ...beat 'em up in the inside...a real tough thing to do...and the rest was easy for Wash...who is now the clear fav to come out of the west, right?... BTW, and I am talking to you real Beaver Believers now...the O Coordinator of the Dawgs is the one and only Dennis Erickson led OSU QB, 5'6" Jonathan Smith ...they showed him in the coaches box...barely could see his head only......

Alas, this is the pinnacle of golf for moi...the battle of the USA and Europe...well, the blokes who were born there...ha ha... the Ryder Cup ...this time it is in Minnnneeeesssota....on the Golf Channel right now...early lead in the 4somes for the US...which is a huge surprise....next 3 days of pure enjoyment...if you like your golf, like the Horse... The AAA Pads finished up their home season last eve...as it was the last broadcast for Dick Enberg ...7 seasons with the club...almost the whole time we have been in SoCal...known for the mighty UCLA Bruins hoop telecasts...from Alcindor to Walton...via John Wooden...def a class act...and a phrase that I use often, "oh my!"...BTW, the Pads lost...on to Arizona for the season ending games...for the highly coveted "Preller Cup" ...given to the club that ends up last in the west.... Well now...we got to swim in our own pool...it is truly 82ish ...couple that with the recent heat wave...it felt dang good, kids...d...

Now THIS is a day to celebrate... National Coffee Day! ...you KNOW my obsession with the perfect cup of joe in the am...right?...I'm gonna tell you this...with all the additives that make the coffee even better, like Mocha, for instance...the best of the best is the Americano ...been awhile, but I had it with a breakfast san in Maui...da best, Jerry, da best...I'm sure you have yours... I like the deep flavor of the French Roast... Man, it was caliente out at Sycuan yesterday... 97*! ...with little to no wind...I played decent...after a brutal start...got an 84...with 7 straight 4's on the back...odd, huh... of course, I was the Klaven...as my playing buds were lower ...I gotta start screaming in their backswings, or something... Still...where Sycuan is... El Cajon ... more protests of the shooting ...there is more to the story...but...why do the police have to shoot and kill?...stun, yes...but kill?...maybe I am too naive about this all...still... being a cop...espe...

My take...on the Debate ... hang on to your suspenders and your wigs, my friends ...but I disagree with them pundits...I thought it was EVEN ...there were spurts of energy by both of the wannabes...it did seem to me that the questions, er, suggestions, were tainted to the Demos way...too much birther crap, and not enough Benghazi...(sp)?... however, if you were polarized, nothing happened to change your mind...and if you were in the middle, nothing happened to sway you ...Horse talk... OK ...other stuff...I am speed writing as I hit the links this am.... Out in my area of golf...in El Cajon, there was a shooting by a cop ...yup, of a black American...I think he was...deceased...as the community is up in arms...bad terminology...of course, too early for all the reasons and all...but there is unrest, to say the least...this happened yesterday afternoon... You know, when you are gone 2 weeks, there are loads of things to get caught up on...the clothes...the bills...the food sto...

Aloha friends ...we got back late last night from the Island...fantastic flight...less than 5 hours riding the tradewinds...still, by the time we hit the hay...like 9...we were pooped...the luggage stuff is looming large...all in all, a very good time... Did NOT the see the debate ...did tape it, but was way too tired to watch the thing...of course, I got texts about who the winner was...the Demos seem happiest...very interesting if you look at the polls, however...each side claiming the V...the debate number 2 is the clincher in the past...still...Horse will watch and give his side of the thing...remember, I am an independent... What a farce in the ending of the Titan / Raider game...pass interference called one way, and not the other....decided the game... you tell me that there isn't shenanigans going on in that highly bet on sport...I wouldn't have let those crooks off the field ...never, ever bet on the NFL... Of course my FF team lost ...however, scored...get ...

Geez, just one day left here in Maui...it's been great...a bit humid...but...we are ready to go home and see our dawg... Oh my, the Ducks...with little D, they are dependent on a youthful O....unfortunately without their star RB Freeman...threw a pick at the buzzer to lose, gulp, at HOME!...a no no...they could have kicked a FG and gone to OT...coaching decisions that haunt everyone... LSU appeared to win at Auburn...the telecast went away...the Tigers jumped up and down...not until this am when I see that they didn't get the play off in time...and actually lost...bet that was an ugly scene... Duke beat ND!...what?... this is not hoops kids...lots of pressure to win at the Irish Campus...figure the HC Kelly (not my fav) will fire someone on his staff...fall guy...
