Spooky night for the Trojans I say...the Dux will open up on them and look for a huge pass rush on the rookie QB of USC...can the Dux run on the Trojans? If so, a blow out... The guys in Orange are 9 1/2 point favs over the Bruins...that is a lot for a Beaver team...I question their defense and sense the score will be closer than the spread, yet still an OSU victory... Another set of orange teams battle in the southwest...Texas and Okla. St....a great battle of 2 very good teams and don't be surprised of the Cowboys steal this one... Most of these games are being played at the same time...ie. the Blazers at the Rockets...as you know I'm just not sold on what I see from PDX land...oops, the Rockets may just run right past the confused red and black... Look for Cole Hamels (SD) to mow down the Yanks as Philly goes 1 up on NY...again a 5 o'clock game... Another 5 o'clock game...SDS to run it up big time on the Lobos...have you followed the inner battle of the coaching sta...

Of course the big game of the week is the Trojan/Dux game up in Eugene...but, Last night's Blazer/Nugget game was of great interest and fuel for thought...can you have too many pieces to try to fit in the puzzle? It appears that the PDX squad has 10 guys...and there are signs that there may be a problem brewing at the pg spot...let's look at it...Andre Miller or Steve Blake...Miller is a true pg and Blake is more of a 2 guard, which the Blazers are full of...still...each are a 2nd echelon player...not really a problem in my book...but may be in Blake's...and the post spot...Oden has not made much of a step up...he can't try to block every shot...and Pryzbilla has taken a step back...anyhoo, it's a long season and don't fret much here...the defense coach has to look at not doubling Anthony...who by the way is a load and has picked up his game and is now a top tier player...good game and PDX just had to make a free throw...which they choked (or missed)...Blazers ...

And so you blindly follow the word of somebody from the pulpit and decide that is the word that makes the most sense...well, maybe it's time for you to get behind the Crazee one that has a lot of info for you... Check out the passion that the New Yorkers have for their Yankee baseball team. It is the rage of the television stations (CBS, NBC, ABC, and on and on) as the hosts lament their sorrow as the Yanks lost the 1st game of the Series. And you tell me that there is no connection... Try to tell the great people in the northwest that there is no relevance as they prepare for their collegiate game of the year, as they host the USC Trojans on Halloween...you think that whole community (and state) are not going to be tuned in to that epic fray? Just try to tell Cleveland people that King James doesn't dominate the feelin...

So the NBA began last night and so did Charles Barkley popping off about who he thought would be in the mix...one of his rants was that the Clippers were going to be in the playoffs this time around...OMG, a miss of all time...horrible coaching and horrible players...how did Dunleavy keep his job last year?...anyway, the Clips got easily beaten by the Champ Lakers, in a ho hum affair...the Cavs started well, yet lost to the newly energized Celts...and the Blazers beat up a speedy Rocket team...and oh yea, watch out for the Wiz this year, as they beat the Mavs, an old team now... The World Series begins tonight in the cold and rain in NY...which favors the pitching...which they both have...and maybe the home field advantage may give the Yanks the edge...toss-up... DWTS...is it just me or is Carrie Ann (the gal judge) a real pain? Props go out to the fans who seem to have this right...Where I feel Mya is probably the best, the star (?) with Derek seems over rated to me... OK, I'm hu...

So I finally get out and play a round of golf...92* and a bit too hot for this old boy...so I use a riding cart (smart)...my playing partners decide to walk and use pull carts (dumb) and they pair us with another riding cart person for our 4th (?)...now I've packed my clubs before on this course and I am no fool and the ride is the only way to go... Anyhoo, it doesn't take too long to figure out that this is going to be anything but abnormal for the round...the balls are flying all over the place and the direction (straight) is the least of the concern for the balls...3 of us have trouble seeing the ball, and the 4th never looks...fore!...yea right... So as the golf is progressing...and there are some intriguing (disgusting) traits emerging...1st of all the 4th add on says everything in the 3rd person...Jimmy, why are you doing this...Jimmy, now you're on...Jimmy, all night long...why you doing that Jimmy...at first, I thought he may have been talking about me or the other ...

The Yankees beat the Angels to get to the World Series to face the Phillies...thanks to some major blunders by an actual major league team...two bunts, two errors and game over...OMG It's a toss up and great TV! The Bolts got a needed win at dismal KC... Did you watch the Giants last night? Eli was scared to death and threw anywhere... The Giants are falling off the radar screen... I saw this article on DWTS, that said the pro dancers are now more famous than the celebrity stars...duh, Cheryl! USC at Orygun this Saturday!!! Halloween game of the year!!! GO DUX!!! Do not look at the BSBCS today, it'll give you the swine flu... We are booking a visit to Vegas in December so the 1st wife can see Donnie and Marie...let's see...going to Sin City to see some Mormons perform as we are drinking like crazee... Off to the links...

I haven't done my rant on the BCS BS this year, so here goes...the $ issue is the only reason the good people who run the D-1 NCAA football resist the playoffs...yes, I am talking about the Presidents of the universities and colleges...good lord, what a mess...and the people buy into it somehow...my take thus far... Alabama...not as good as they say Florida...too one dimensional (Tebow) Texas...probably the best team in the land USC...getting better...the Dux game the ultimate indicator Cincinnati...no match in the east, and prob a top 4 team Boise St...top 6 team...have no more tough games... Iowa...typically over hyped Big Ten team Miami...east coast over ranked LSU...top 8 team for sure TCU...another team that deserves a chance Ga.
