Just when you thought that you could buy a donut and feel safe about the condition thereof... Lick-gate ...more about this later... I have never been to New Orleans to the Mardi Gras...but somehow, this town of SD has it's own share of festivities...and Comic Con is like no other....we set ourselves at a local watering hole...and took in the afternoon's share of crazyness...they shut down 5th Avenue...and the peops parade and well...just wander about...as we watch...I took a few shots and posted to Facebook...very fun, my friends... Also on a high is Serena Williams ...who won yet another Wimbledon...in a world of her own... On their own path is the bumbling Pads ...who have sunk to new depths...lost the 6th straight...and did it in yet another frustrating fashion...poor D and untimely K's...and the starting P got lit up...look at all the single letters I use for this...p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c...who ya gonna call?...Ghostbusters... Ha ha...a new version of the 80's ...

Hey now... the weekend is upon us...and...here we go...it's our day to get out and take a look at the crowds of Comic Con dresser uppers...BTW...it is verboten to rent out on a weekend basis to the attendees in our condo....YET...there are a whole gaggle of them, running around this place....SOMEBODY is breaking the rules... The Boz ...simply marvelous...sang for about 2 hours...and hit most of his older stuff...and did some of his new things from his recently released CD...all good...and have to take a listen to it...the crowd had a great time, kids... It's a difficult time for the brass of the Pads ...the system in place is NOT WORKING!...so there just may be a trade situation on the horizon...that's what they are leaking...hmmm...so do they sell off the vets for promising rookies?...not so sure what the theory is...will just wait and see... Sonos ...had a long conversation with the support group...well, one of 'em...and he guided me into the setup...on my com...

We have, what it seems, to be our yearly Boz fix ...this time out at Humphreys...with the cool temp, will need a sweater or jacket...for you who don't know...Boz Skaggs...puts on a Vegas type show...and is as cool as the temp...probably take an Uber out early...have appetizers and a cold one at the bar...and then try to slink onto the water wall seats, like early...not sure about where our normal ones are... Curious case of the Center of the Clip Joint... DeAndre Jordan ...it is his time to test the free agency market...does so...and does a promise to sign with the Dallas Mavs...you know, the team that is owned by the TV Show guy, Mark Cuban...Shark Tank...anyway, Jordan had until today to sign the papers and make it official...guess what?...the Clips sent a whole ga...

No bigger weekend in the city... Comic Con ...where the peoples get crazy for the Batmans of the day...some may call it nerd nation...whatever...it's a bunch of 'em having a time of their lives...it's cool...and it's everywhere...fuggit about driving thru the area... Them Pads ...after a lengthy rain delay...and a near disaster with the ground crew...found a way to lose another...3-2...and continue the downward spiral...it really is disheartening...for them, too...no clear reason as to why...it just ain't happening... How can 2 planes collide over a non-flight path?...South Carolina...military jet and a singular prop plane... And now for the K Fam report...naw, just kidding... One thing I saw out at Steele Canyon ...the course was killing grass, as to use less water...very cool...and creating more natural vegetation as part of the land...I see more golf spots doing this...SoCal is hurting for agua... Gosh, it is so great to see the Ladies Soccer Team b...

It's the afternoon...just got back from playing golf out at Steele Canyon ...gorgeous layout...3 nine holes...and tucked away between canyons, older homes, and brand new ones...the topography is great...and it is on the hard side...87...with a few balls left on the course...ha ha...the price was right...$44 for seniors, which includes a riding cart...no GPS though... There is a futures event out at Sycuan and closed the place up for us members....boo... OK, still booing... the unfundamental play of the Pads in their loss to Pitt...failure to bunt over dudes in the latter parts of the game...and failure to pitch around the Buc's power guys...all and all, more of the same crap that leads us to the bottom...used to be, you'd hear some crazy excuses for the inept game play...now, it's just what we do....accept it...not!... The All Star game...MLB ...the ridiculous notion that the winner get's the league champ the home court advantage in the World Series...some ...

Let's put this up for all to witness...if all soccer games scored like the champ game in the World Cup , I'd a be watching all the time...congrats to a well deserving USA Ladies team! ... a 5-2 solid winner over Japan ...the start of the match was so spectacular...scoring four before you could get seated... it was one for the times... Greece is in such monetary jeopardy that the Financial Minister resigned ...duh...wait, MINISTER? ...and the country is in disarray...wonder how it could get so bad...and puts all of Europe on edge...it affects all the world's stock markets...how?...I dunno...but it does...of course, ours started down...the early news was that Japan's was down, too....always an indicator... The pixels has this as shark week ...and I have caught a few of the productions...hey hey, stay out of the seas, my friends... it's THEIR habitat...and they rule it ...in the west coast of the US, they seem to follow the seals...the east coast?...whatever th...

So, how was your 4th? ....full of festivities?...and fireworks?...ours was pretty decent...after playing golf in the earlier part of the day...rested up until a couple of parties...the surprise was the Pinnacle one...had a live band, that was quite good...that got the entire set of 3 high rises in the mood...and then walked down to another...that had the great view of the fireworks...way cool... The World Cup for the ladies is today...USA versus the team that they got beat by in the last Cup, Japan...but it's 4 YEARS LATER. ...and the red, white, and blue's turn...so says me...the 3rd place match was yesterday....and the Brits won it over Germany...geez, these gals play with a lot of passion and aggression... The Pads lost another low scoring affair...after getting the 1st two at Saint Looey, a huge error by our SS paved the way to the loss...simple method of play by the Cards to get the W...get on by the error...steal a base...hit a grounder to the right side to move h...
