It's time I head back into the world of novel writing .  My last book was heralded by thousands...well by 4 or 5...my wife, my friend, my publisher, and my masseuse...I guess that's 4...and, my masseuse promptly cut me off after reading it... she quit doing guys ...I know it sounds quirky, but true...hey, that's not my point here... Anyhoo...I am going to do this new one using a Mac Software addition... MacSpeech Dictate ...it types as I talk...voice recognition and all...I'm real excited about it and you will be, too... We are in our 6th straight day of rain ...where am I? The Blazers ...I don't get it...they lose BRoy and his fill in...and still take the Celts to OT in Boston...still lose, but how can this be?  Is the league this weak, or apathy has set in, or are they just so well coached ? The idiot that the Pads fired, Kevin Towers , shot his mouth off saying he wouldn't have traded Kooz, yet it would have been Headley... good riddance to an all ti...

I ranted yesterday (justifiably)...and today I'm a tipping one or two...or is it sipping...or chugging...or downing...or slurping...or nursing...fact is it's time to talk about my favorite drinks...and not all alcoholic... You may think of these as like the worst as we all have different taste buds... I am totally engrossed in to the Cabs ...rampant here in SD due to the climate and rarely do I dislike a good one out of Napa, Sonoma, or Alexander Valleys....generally speaking anything above $15 is a measure, but I have told you about Trellis before ($5) and Avalon ($13), which is organic...whatever that means...I love the Markham Merlot as it is pure butter...if you jump to the Pinots, Oregon has the market and I am crazy about Cristom ...but, it's sooooo expensive...if you haven't tried the Witness Tree Chardonnay you are missing a beaut...and I'm not crazy about the Chards... Brewskies ...I'm all over Bud or Bud Lite, depending if I'm on a diet....

What ills this country just got sicker...your Supreme Court just unleashed the amount of dough that corporations (or anyone) can donate to a campaign ...I guess they were primarily addressing the presidential race...but, here comes the lobbyists and the pressure offense and defense they impose on all your congressional people... senator, here is $5 million for your campaign if you vote against the health bill...you see, that's significantly more than the $500,000 I offered you last week...and here, I'll see that you get a $10 million personal health care for yourself... be proud, US of A, you just got screwed again ... I'm on the warpath... How in the hell can NBC give Conan $40 million to get lost?  You have that much to fling around?  How about dropping the cost of commercials and giving the public a break... he wasn't funny and if you don't do the job...fire him ! Is there any way that rational people listen to Rush Limbaugh?  Or Pat Robertson?  My ...

The passing of Ted Kennedy left a senatorial seat vacant...and yesterday the voters in Massachusetts elected a republican!  His name is Scott Brown ...seems to be an indicator of how people react to the health plan...and, how inept a race the democratic gal ran it...just follow the stories today, as the newly elected senator posed nude for Cosmo ...so funny!  How conservative can you be? You know I don't bet on the NFL ...but if I did I'd take the Jets and get 7 1/2 points...they're physical, hot, and will keep control of the ball with 2 quality running backs... Saints over the Viks ...big...sorry Favre fans... You know one of the best singers in my time was Marvin Gaye ... his duets with Tanya Terrell were beauts... but my fav was " What's Goin On "...a terrific piece on that time in the US...

Dang if it didn't happen...just as soon as the game was over the rain started...the Jets came into town and did what they said they would do...win....like a prize fighter they kept pounding away 'til they wore down the Bolts defense...no surprise there...BUT...the Charger's offense altered nothing as they met their physical match...for the better part of 2 seasons, the Bolts are 2nd and 9  way too many times... Here's the gig... LT has been a super back for the Bolts, but it hasn't been there since I've been here...3 seasons...and SD hasn't drafted or traded for a running back...so the brain trust tries a run up the middle almost every series...gains one yard...and then performs pretty well from then on...BUT...not against a hot, physical, team...the fix is simple...get yourself a quality, young back in here... Congrats to the Jets ...they deserved it and hope they can do the same to the Colts...their O is in the hands and mind of Peyton...he'll b...

One of my all time favorite songs is by Joan Osborne , "If God was one of us..."  I wonder now if that were true, would the ridiculous Pat Robertson say the devil curse about Haiti to his face?  Or that the Al-Quida would say jihad to another human being?  I'm not going any further...there's just too many to list.... I have always wondered how any TV station can get a realistic view on who actually is watching...I have never been called or asked and I watch all the time...maybe you are the source... The NFL 1st set of games went as predicted, as the Saints and Colts waltzed through easily...the games today can be more of an issue...especially the Viks / Cowboys ...more passion than anything with the Bolts ... As the SD area braces for a week of rain, I saw this in one of the shops...Umbrellas $9.95 ...$19.95 when it is raining... The USD / Gonzaga hoops game was last night...OMG, the Zags are men amongst boys... SDS survived the Horned Frogs and reall...
