Alas, the clan finally did see the 'it' movie... "La La Land" ...and it wasn't close by...so we had to travel all the way to the community of Hillcrest ...yup, it was yet another Uber ride...to the cinema house that was...wait for it... way cool ... First of all , there were a gazillion amounts of workers ...what?...the one near us, has maybe 3...service was super...at a theater!...albeit, not cheap ...$20 to get in (couple) and $20 for popcorn and Coke... secondly , the seats ... were electric and recliners! ...and lots of room between rows...the sound system was superior to the old types...OK, you are def set up for a good time... The movie ...a bit long, maybe...just a tad over 2 hours ...and it wasn't a true musical...like I anticipated...not nearly as much song and dance as like "Dream Girls" , or "Grease" ...you get the idea...the lead actors, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling , were both excellent in their roles ...and just may...

Oh my, kids...the elite team in D-1 hoops, the Gonzaga Bulldogs ... took on USD... the University of San Diego ...up on the hill...egads... 96-38 ...what?...shellacking...embarrassing...I guess proved why they are ranked numero uno in the country...or, that USD may be the worst...or, maybe a combo thereof... Another of the cornerstones of many malls throughout the US of A is closing up their stores... JCP, er JC Penney ...man, that's them, Macy's, Sears, and others...pretty soon there will be vacant structures that we once 'went to'...and we'll have to tell the youngins about what they once were...as we interrupt them from their online gaming...and buying... 'yes, we used to have all these stores in a confined area...that you could buy anything there'... Just when you thought that maybe, just maybe, the GS Warriors have come back down to earth...and were getting trounced by the Clip Joint at half...scored 46 in that half...and then...erupted...I mean...

No better rush ever...I mean... EVER! ...if you are on the winning end of a dramatic, buzzer beater, shot to win the game ...witness two of them last eve...one in the Carrier Dome...where Syracuse got their prayer answered...and the other...more pertinent to my arena...the Oregon Ducks and theirs... Let's break it down ...the last minute of a close game can be pandemonium ...we practiced last minute stuff all the time...throughout the season...to the clock, too...as much simulation that you can create...I trust the college guys do, too...I dunno... In the 'Cuse win... they beat Duke ...who by many accounts have the best college coach in the biz, Coach K ...that's all he is known by now...actually it is Mike Krzyzewski...OK, sufficed to say K...I get it...but, the Blue Devils panicked when they had their chance...shot a bad one...and gave the Orange enough time to race down the floor and bank in the winner, straight on...the bank was open... one might say 'luc...

Once proud Los Angeles Lakers ...the Lake Show...this organization has fallen to their lowest limits ...you know, the NBA is all about talent...and definitely less on who is trying to collar the dudes...the coaching staff... you have to have stars ...and LA has none...zero...back to back awful drafts ...and there you go... Many have said the problem is  the ownership and the GM...could be a combo...well, this one elite group... fired their GM, Mitch Kupchak ...and hired one of them Laker 'Stars' of the past...to rekindle what once was... Magic Johnson ...who will be the Prez...he has yet to hire a GM...one thing is to play the game, another is to manage it...here's the deal...they need good drafts and good trades...to resurrect what once was... is there gonna be Magic in La La land? ...time will tell... The Beats has the bad arse gals of country on... the Dixie Chicks ...hey, they were and are greeeaattt...terrific harmonies and they don't avoid issues...imagine ...

I gave you a peek of the view outside my window ...a couple of days ago when it was raining...today, it is the look of normality...I'm using it as my background...there you go... I watched a show about JFK ...his fateful trip to Dallas-Ft Worth, Texas...as I believe the History Channel was doing their Prez Day tribute...a couple of things that stood out...we were told that the area was hostile to him traveling there...however, there were adoring people...EVERYWHERE!...trying to get a glimpse at him...even at 11 o'clock at night... His speeches...I have always thought that Prez O was flawless and the best...yes, but 2nd to Prez Kennedy... unbelievable charm, diction, and deliverance ...he had the 'hostile' crowd wrapped up...I think back...and it is and was all so sad... Remember that a couple of years ago, I got the eery thrill of visiting the site that our beloved Prez was killed...the infamous School Book Depository...I must say, that you have to have it on...

Good morning, ya"ll...it's the celebration of our Presidents ...they get a special day...hmmm...many of us think more of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln ...when we tip our hats...buy, lawdy, with our term limits, we have had lots...you ever go back and look at the lives of them all?...the times that they were ruling dictated what they were all about... many would shock you ... Probably no more shocking is the present one to half the country...right?...reminder, of the term limits...however, Prez Trump is a go getter, and an achiever ...wants to back up the promises of his campaign... so, maybe we shouldn't be that shocked after all... Regardless, let's look back at them as a whole... it is the best system in the world ....and we live in a wonderful place... The Horse stuff... Dem Padres made a major move to improve, well, at least, shore up a starter...in their rotation...signed Jered Weaver ...a life long employee of the Cali Angels...he is a craft master at the position...as his fast ball is now topping out at 83 mph ...oh my...and last season gave up the 2nd most dingers in the league...only topped by the newly SD departed gopher prepping Shields...geez... Kyrie Irving ...the star PG of them Cleveland Cavs...sort of put himself out there on his scientific rant about the Earth...referred to it as flat ...ha ha...yessireee Bob...hard to argue with the bloke, as all he can see as far as the naked...
