Just an eerie time for us right now...suffice to say we are running on fumes...let's get on with this... The King has been proclaimed!...King Charles the ? ...I dunno, kids...they just got themselves a new Prime Minister...is that not more important?...perhaps, not, for the people...it's a real confusing thing, this monarchy...the Brits have it different for sure...happy we don't have that...you must see Poldark for a terrific time piece... As Mike Wilbon said so accurately on his show, PTI, ah, Pardon the Interruption...ESPN pundit show... "the Padre/Dodger series is more important to San Diego than Los Angeles" ...right on, dude...as the Friars won their 7th straight in OT...well, we have won 7 straight OT games...that's better...as the Crone Zone lit up and we got the W...will say, we had terrific pitching from all...this Bum unit is loaded...thus, moved into 2nd in the wild card race...+++++... Feelin' groovy ...when you want something...and it is more of a want then a reality...seems like that is all you hear about... a trip to Maui ...the teevee station I happened on, was talking about the cheapest, and best airfare for this month of September...the bargain? ... Maui, of course ...I have so many miles in the bank, it would be a no-brainer...however, the time is not right...for us...then, on a cooking channel, the Loco Moco was brought up...see?... This is our anniversary month , like so many of youse out there...keep this number in your noggin... 48 ...imagine...yup, it's true... what do you get for the 48th? ... Yea, so some people work on Labor Day ...is it time and a half or double time?...to moi?...it was the last day until I hit the classroom... my history was that I would go to the horse races at the State Fair ...glorious finish to the summer...after summer school, summer hoops, team camps, and vacays...got a memory of those who ripped on the teachers for getting paid for the summer...when they were NOT working...we had a choice when we got our pay...spread it out over 12 months, or just the months we worked...don't know of anyone who did the latter...especially at the beginning of the years of...when I was always broke...ha ha... The big news out of the 23 sources this am? ... the new Prime Minister of Great Britain ... Liz Truss ...replacing Boris Johnson...the agenda?...like all politicians...tax cuts...and the oh so generic 'I will unleash Britain's potential by going for growth and removing obstacles holding our country back' ...OK, then... Reminds me so much, of when playing poker...and ya look around the table...look for the patsy...and all the others are looking at YOU! ...this was the Oregon Ducks , my good friends...lambasted by a much superior team, in the Georgia Bulldogs ...it is hard to tell, what the NEW Ducks are going to be...like other patsies such as Bethune-Cookman, Rice, Albany, and well, you see where I am going with this... throw in the wrap around loss to Utah, the embarrassing one last season...it's a stunning thought for such a proud school ...we shall see... There were more bombs ... SDSU looked awful in their new stadium...listen, kids, we are not used to 100* temp down in south SoCal... USC had a blast at the sake of Rice...as did UCLA , they, too, were playing patsies... Oregon St looked real tough to moi, and led Boise St 24-0 at half... the Dawgs had a free for all at the expense of Kent St....ah, who?...
