Liquified Natural Gas ... LNG ...in my ongoing discovery of politics and money I travel another road that is totally frightening... LNG is a product that is bought and sold to countries that can't have pipelines of natural gas (or other energy sources) affordably built to transfer that source to it. Thus the emergence of the need for LNG . Here is my story... And if you go chasing rabbits ...Back in the early '90s a need for LNG became evident in the African nation of Nigeria ...yes the dictator led Nigeria...amongst the companies that would vie for the very lucrative contract was one called TSKJ ...hidden in this name were companies from France, Italy, Japan, and the USA... even more subdued within the USA part was Dresser...which had a little known subsidiary known as Halliburton ...in the mid '90's the CEO of Halliburton finally received the Nigerian contract for the LNG... his name was... Dick Cheney ...yes that one... And you know you're going to fall ... CE...

Correction seems to be the buzz word for all politicians in this down cycle of the economy. Not to be outdone is none other than the California governor , Arnold Schwarzenegger . His latest attempt to correct the Cali budget is sell 11 of the state owned properties that could bring big bucks to the gov...Missing in his diagnosis is what those properties bring economically to the areas that they are in...talking local buying , hotels being filled , traditions being kept , and on and on...One of those being targeted is the Del Mar fairgrounds ...well, let's just see where this goes...and who on earth has the capital to buy anything right now ? GM? Most of my latest blog entries are hot items right now...in today's Trib an article very similar to mine about correcting the Padres ...a lot of talk about rendition and Nancy Pelosi ...and the Bush Regime... Don't hesitate now if you are buying, the bottom is here and will rise very soon... I'm just saying ...

It's time to make some moves with the Padres. Reeling and certainly not rocking should lead the new owners to make some major changes to this hapless group. I have seldom felt that changing a manager is the cure to fixing a broken down team ...but in this case I say yes. Bud Black does not have the make up to shake up this mess of a MLB team ...I'm relatively sure he is a nice guy, but this team needs drive ...an ornery one who demands proper play. And that is not the only change... The Kouzmanoff experiment is a bust . It's time to move Chase Headley to 3B and release Kouz ...there will be no takers for him . He has shown that he is not a 3-6 position type hitter in this league, ie. hitting with players on, and his abysmal 1 HR and 8 RBI's so far this season represents such a conjecture. Trade Brian Giles . There are those out there that would take on his salary and his potential. Even though he is struggling this year he will turn it around... get...

I am reading a book about the Vietnam War and the LBJ regime and try not to compare it to the so-called Iraq war . The guy in charge, Robert McNamara , had an eye on an escalated attack on the Viet Cong to preserve freedom for the World...or something like that. The process was progressing shortly after the assassination of JFK , and really got muddled around the time of the re-election of LBJ ...my point here is that all of the real aggressive stuff had to be suppressed during election time...the funding of the war had to be ratified in Congress and the only time to do so was after the election...unless the enemy fired upon us during that time it was the only way...debatable point was whether or not the North Vietnamese did so in the Gulf Of Tonkin...the money did make it through and we were at war ... The Country progresses in regression ...the military is increased , jobs increase due to production of military vehicles , jobs increase due to military needs , discreet business...

Did you catch the finals of the Celebrity Apprentice ? Rubber faced Joan Rivers was picked as the the winner over Annie Dukes ...the garbage spilled by each of these gals was awful ...I must say most of it was by Joan ...I think it must have been great TV and that's why she won...They actually changed the criteria to winning it for the "finals" to give Joan a chance to get her "honors."...by the way, does anybody look better after they have been face lifted ? Who decides it is beauty? The Miss California thing has gotten way out of hand. On a downer day in sports I want to go to a topic that thoroughly disgusts me ... rendition . On the boob tube yesterday former VP Dick Cheney was on Face the Nation, or something like that...I have feared this man for 8 years and his appearance just solidified that thought...his endorsement of the controversial Rush Limbaugh as the leader of the Republican Party turned my stomach ...but, let's not go there for now... Rendition is the act of secreting out a "prisoner " to another nation and have that nation use any means to get information from that person...OK, like torture ...I thought that when I grew up the only countries that used that method were the bad guys, Germany, Japan, and Russia ...NO! It's still going on and we do it... Cheney boasted that it was successful in pulling out key information from Al Quida prisoners... apparently the only way to do so ... The enemy...whenever another country or in this case militant group, attacks us we will use any ...
