Morning kids...able to post via Marsh's laptop...hey hey...

I must say that getting used to all the connections is not that easy...especially fighting this damn cold...I can see that the wifi will be an ongoing issue...

We did get to see the kids...Cyrus is growing so much...built a fire and had smores...reminds you of your past?...it was fun...

This is the one thing I can say...we can do this...so interesting to see all the different RV's out here...Most are class A's...big sumbitches...had a guy come over and wanted to know all about the Mini-Wini....er, Cosmo...said he was going to downsize...

People are all so friendly...the speed that all are on?...very, very slow...deliberate...

Watched the Raptors destroy the Warriors...maybe my prediction for the season, that GS will not repeat, was right...oh yea, I thought the refs were turrible...surprise...ha ha...

Our next stop is supposed to be right at the ocean...this one was to be, but it's a 15 minute walk...boo...we will try Carpenteria, on the way back...I reckon...

The cable connection...had to buy a 25 ft cable cord...always something...to get minimal service...we do have a HD antenna, but, the number of channels is limited...just fyi...

Your guy Trump is tariffing to death Mexico...right?...gonna increase the amount each month...this guy is a beut...how's the market handling his suggestions, er orders?...yup...plummeting...his thought is that their government will then detain their people from fleeing to the US...fine 'em until they stop...egads...

And So It Begins

The blog title could apply to a number of things, about to commence...cheers to all of you out there!...graduations, trips, games, impeachments, and on and on...wait, what?...imbedded in the Mueller rendition of his Report...was an underlying notion, of 'we have done the legwork', now its up to Congress to go forth...or did he mean that?...totally depends on what side of the aisle you are on...

What he did say, loud and clear, was that there was clear evidence that Russia, in fact, did attempt to alter our 2016 presidential election...this morning, Trump...I think mistakingly, admitted that he did get help from the Russians...which sent out alarms to many....Trump continues to hold on steadfast, bellowing out 'no collusion, no obstruction!'...

Mueller did also say that if he were called into Congress to testify that he would add nothing to what he has already put out in his Report...thus, save the time in calling him...that they have all he can give...right there in written form...

At first, I wondered why he was even making his 8 minute long statement to the press...adding that he was not going to answer any questions, too...what was the motive?...unclear...

What is clear, is that there is more and more movement towards the impeachment of Trump in the House of Reps...I can't say for sure...but today, shall be a telling one...

And so it begins, could apply to the start of the NBA finals...tonight in Canada...as the Warriors are favored to do the 3 peat...the odds are strong in their behalf...but...the Raptor's Kawhi Leonard could cause fits for GS...and throw their game off...the 2nd thing, is whether or not Curry can play D on Kyle Lowery....anyway, we will see this eve, what type of series it will produce...

In this era of launch angle hitting in the big league...more and more teams, are going for the home runs, in lieu of the line drives...the hit and run...the bunt...to advance runners...so on and so forth...the hitters are like at .240...I suppose equating that to the 3 ball in the NBA...so, for most of the game...we just sit and watch most of the blokes strike out...waiting for the occasional dinger...the home run, kids...

I find it boring...like I do the NBA...gone is the production of moving runners...gone is the movement of the players in hoops...the home run and the 3 ball, eerily too similar...ruining the games...

Naturally, what you get in MLB...are blokes who finally hit one out of the stadium...stand there and gawk at their prowess...the other team gets mad for the showboating...and next time up, a ball goes right by his head...some things don't change...ha ha...

One dude taking it to extremes is the player from the Cincinnati Redlegs, Derek Dietrich...who hits them...then stands there and poses...good lawdy, he plays in Cincy, where the porch is shorter than most...12 of his last 17 hits have been home runs...he's hot, but the game is not...

Oh my, just saw our lineup for the rubber game at NY....we have Myers leading off...what don't I see that the Padres do?....

Maybe it will be rained out...

Finally this...and this is absolutely SHOCKING!...that most people get their daily news from...FACEBOOK...yes, and the numbers are staggering...67%!!!...not from the newspaper, not from the pixels...but from the web net and the social media site...but, primarily from FACEBOOK...
maybe, just maybe, I have more readers than I think...thank you for following me...and, of course, pass me on...

But it FEELS like a Monday

Top of the morning, to ya'll!...we are back to norm here in SoCal...sunny, warm, and cloud free...it's way cool to see the sun thru the shades of the living room...er, great room...whatever it is called...and yet it is a Tuesday...May 28...but, doesn't it feel like a Monday?...

We had a most unusual incident happen yesterday...our front door of the Bosch oven does not close properly...have had repair peops out, and they said what was needed were new hinges...ordered them and then got a repair dude out to install them...sounds easy, right?...here we go...he spoke some English...OK...demanded a spot to park...note, the word 'demanded'...as we told him what was needed...he gave a totally quizzical look at us...did he understand?...

We watched from afar, as to what he was doing...he ended up taking the entire oven out of the enclosure...odd...then, asked for a chair?...what?...as he apparently needed something to rest the unit on....we have since learned that he (we think the same dude) would have taken the whole unit out and rested it on the floor, as he did in another 'repair'...

He told Marsh that the hinges were not the right ones...well, we guess he was saying that...and she quizzed him further...'well, can you just take off the door?'...he did not know how...it is a thing that just pops off, via the web net...Marsh stepped up and told him 'we are uncomfortable with you going any further, so please just put the unit back together as you found it'...

Suddenly, his English improved...as he promptly took out his writing pad...wrote that we 'refused service and were uncomfortable with him to finish the job'...asked me to sign the note....which I did...assuming that he would put the oven back in, the way he found it...INSTEAD...he took his paper, and walked down the hallway...and OUT THE DOOR!...

Leaving us with the oven ajar, and at least 12 screws that went somewhere...this is Axis Repair...be forewarned...if you live in our area...we have since learned that others have REFUSED service from that company in our building...a little late, for us, dang...

And so...

The mighty Padres were in another zone...as they (we) got whupped by the NY Yankees...in the Bronx...5-2...a test of where we are...still not on the level we need to be...well, another test today...on the next echelon...the Bums beat the Mets in LaLa...yes, kids, the Dodgers are the real deal...decidedly better than us...

We await the finals of the NBA....the Canadian Raptors vs the American Warriors...I am just jesting here...Toronto vs Golden St...will KD play?...naw...how about Boogie?...yes...will the series go 7?...nope...who will win?...unlike what I have been predicting all season long...the Warriors will win...3 peat...there you go...

Bill Buckner passed on yesterday...only 69...dementia...he was a super star in MLB...unfortunately known for a WS error...too bad, as he was 20 yr vet of star quality hitting...

You watching the Bachelorette?...yes, I am...Hannah is a nice person...fun...could you have ever done the show?...lawdy, not moi...but, I could see YOU doing it...

The amount of people climbing Mt Everest is alarming...some photos have so many chained together in their attempt...my guess there is but a narrow window of appropriate weather to do so...in this season, 11 have died in their mission...count me as one, who don't get the rush...but, obviously, many do...

Memorial Day

This is the day in the USA, where there is time given to honor those who gave their lives for the freedom of our country...Memorial Day...and to also honor, the Veterans who survived, too...I'm not sure the better name shouldn't be Military Day...it is what it is...however, in the 21 sources I read, each and every morning, there were just a scant few that made this the headline...shame...

What took most of the headlines, was the trip of Trump to Japan...his day of golf is THAT important?...a misguided comment that he made was in the fore front...that he wasn't bothered that much by the launching of short ranged missiles by North Korea, in direct disregard to what his aides had told him...take a look at the map, and see how close Japan is to that country...and, of course, he followed that up, with his agreement of Kim Jun Un about calling Joe Biden, 'low IQ'...

An item of interest that may just affect you...depends on where you live...but the Trump restrictions on the Chinese Telephone Tech Co, Huawei...has some major implications in the lower populated places in the USA...what?...it seems that many of the phone carriers, used the Huawei technology to establish the base for the cell phones...that will have to be replaced...ah, yea, you may lose service for awhile...

At the Colonial, the name of the T has changed...depending on the sponsor who will pay...PGA...lots of $...the winner was the kid that had the lead after the 3rd round...Kevin Na...the analysts did NOT pick him to hold on...he won breezing...I did not realize how short that track is...many par 4 holes under 400 yards...for Pros, a drive and a wedge...by winning, he also got a vintage Challenger car...which he gave to his caddie...cool...

Right on cue, was my assessment of what happens when a team scores 19 runs...one was scored the next day...as the mighty Padres got ripped by a 10-1 score in Toronto...couple that with the scratch of the sheriff...we were not going to win with Erlin and Perdomo, taking his place...well, off to NYC...today at 10...another test...

As we near our Cosmo trip...the thoughts are 'what have we forgotten?'...is the weather gonna be cold?...rainy?...sunny?...food, is such a gamble...how much to take...they do have stores in many of the sites...we have 4 different ones going...have not figured how many on the return...sounds a bit harrowing?...yes, to me, too...

19 and Counting

Shut the front door!...oh my, when and why was this phrase adopted?...anyhoo, the mighty Padres whupped the Blue Jays in Canada...scoring 19 runs...NINETEEN!!!...hit SEVEN home runs...ie, 2 by the guy who does well in blow jobs and losses, Wil Myers...gosh, Horse, why would you rain on his parade?...you do know what happens the next game?...probably shut out...it's the nature of the biz...sorry, kids, but I am very happy for the successive wins...

Staying in that same city...in the NBA...the Raptors finished off the Bucks to win the east...and a chance at the crown...versus the 2 time champs, the Golden St Warriors...ah, what are the odds?...25-1...I'm sure the Vegas Boyz won't give that high...it was refreshing to watch the enthusiasm of that town for their team...the first time ever in the final series...ponder this, are they better than the Blazers talent wise, or just better coached?...sure, a snarky Q...

Jon Voigt...ah, hem, the actor and star in Midnight Cowboy...and father of actress Angelina Jolie...ah, just in case you needed clarity...has proclaimed Trump as 'the greatest president since Lincoln'...in response, Jason Alexander, George Castanza in the Seinfeld show...says that he is going to give up Voigt's car...another query...wonder what tax bracket, Voigt is in?...

Or does he, like his fave prez, pay NO TAXES?...brothers of a different _____...snarky 2...

Sometimes, I write and get lost in the moment...my intent for yesterday's blog, was to highlight the difference in wages earned in the PGA...golfers...but, once I got going, I forgot to mention the base...two dudes, in different eras...Greg 'the Shark' Norman, earned over $14 million bucks in his career...20 wins, which included 2 majors...and Tony Finau...who has earned over $14 million bucks...with ONE win, and it wasn't a major...man, the sponsors have money to burn...apparently, much greater now...

Speaking of sharks...a man, off the coast of Kaanapali Shores...Maui, Hawaii...where we go to stay...was bitten and killed by a SHARK, there...not that far off the coastline, as he was swimming...I see people all the time off shore...doing the same...they are there, kids...hungry...

Hey, you can rest assured that the US is getting some prime time negotiating done today...as Trump is playing golf with the elite of Japan...

Finally, am I the only one that believes this?...after the games are over...in the pros...why do they trot out the players (the stars) to answer Q's by the press?...bring out the coach, and be done with this...
