I'm thinking there is little reason to get caught up in the mess of "Black Friday" ...due to the invention of online shopping...which is exactly the origin of the term...back in Philadelphia by the cops there...referring to the amount of foot and car traffic that totally clogged up the city...mid 60's...then, it got sucked up by the media and it emerged as a new motto for businesses actually making money right after Thanksgiving, with the "sales" and crazy opening hours used...me?...I would go for the free donuts and coffee...but, not now...there are plenty of great deals online...unless...you have to get out there ... Well, it started way back when the Europeans and the Natives meshed their eating ways...and became this festive day...sure, it now has more meaning of a family gathering...but, only in Canada and here...the Mexicans, nope...thus, our house keep is coming today...I digress...for as long as I can remember it was our family gathering , with a turkey and a ham...and all the fixings...and it changed just slightly as time wore on...the family started to fade away and became smaller and smaller...as our parents passed on...and the family just drifted apart into their own separate ways...so, if you can, keep yours together...it is a time to catch up on everything that has transpired...it's also a time to catch your breath prior to Christmas ...for me, for so long...it was a break before the weekend practice sessions...the hated Turkey Run for my hoopsters...a tradition that I hated, and I kept it going, just 'cuz...and I hope, that if any of my former players are coaching, I trust...

So just what makes you a... STAR? ...as we have grown older and wiser, the word becomes somewhat of a misnomer...is it the guy or gal that you idolize as a good ball player?...or just playing in the bigs is enough?...is it the motion picture actor or actress that is bigger than life?...or the tv personality...or the...wait...the nature of the beast is...who says that you qualify as one?...is it the magazines...or is it the television itself...just what makes you a star? Well...let's be honest...it's a matter of personal taste...as the "star" Dianne Keaton said, that the reality "stars" are just that, too...they're on the tube, and they are performing, and they do have an audience...so they must be...stars... So...when you have a show that is about dancing and it's with "stars", it is to be a major player...but...I just can't imagine the peops they have on DWTS are really stars...let's look at the finalists... It sure is great to see the sun, after a blustery Sunday...so unique here...the rain, I'm talking...so it's back to the bike for a workout this very Sunny Munday ...not so sunny is...the... The BSBCS rankings are out...and after the excruciating loss to the Trojans...the Duckees are ranked 10th...the computer is harder on Oregon than any team...for example, OSU (not that one, Beavs) went from 2 to 4...the Ducks from 4 to 10.....

The USC Trojans came prepared and delivered the blow to the Duck's national champ run...shoot...they dominated the line play...gave their QB Barkley (Gnarley) plenty of time to find his wideouts...and with the horrible Oregon kicking game, held on to beat the Duckees at Autzen...congrats to them, as they turn that program around...but now, Oregon has to rebound and find a way to finish this season off right... The President's Cup...in Australia...I think I watched 80% of 'em...and the news out of it?  Tiger is back...and it has to do with his psychy...he hits the ball as far as the youngins...and wooah be to Dustin Johnson...showed he is no match for any of these dudes...kudos to Jim Furyk for going undefeated in a season where he has struggled...oh, the winner?  The US retained the trophy...lurve the course, as long as I never play it...
