CRAZY HORSE

This is what the playoffs in MLB should look like...a 5 game series, pitting the upstart Friars of San Diego versus the fat cats of LaLa Land, them Bums...it's one of those times, that if the Padres can win one of the games in Hollywood...then we could, make that might, sweep the Bloody Blue here in the best city in the world...here at the home, we are having a raucous room of devoted Friar Fans...ready to sweat out the games...BYOB...ha ha...why not a kegger you say?...the good old days of yesteryear...back at college...red solo cups...gettin pie eyed and out of control...wait, that could never have been the Horse...too much class for that... Speaking of college...that is exactly where we saw the immortal Tom Jones, perform at...SDSU...up on the mountain...in an arena that was, well, built, like on a mountain...you went STRAIGHT down to your seats...we were lucky to be in the 9th row...well, I guess you could say unlucky...as we had to walk UP, after the show...all them steps...li...

In our never ending quest, to see singers...concerts...people that we have yet to hear...we are to go on out to SDSU, at an open air venue mind you, for the one and only Tom Jones...yes, he is in his 80's...and we have no idea what shape the performer will be in...he has a multitude of them hits...can he still belt them out?...to be determined...one of those is a song titled 'Delilah'...in all of my days of living, breathing, teaching...to the best of my recollection, I have never known a real Delilah...not one...of course, I have never known one that was called Pussycat, either...'What's New, Pussycat?'...another of his hits...I guess this cat has treaded in much different circles than the Horse... You may surmise, that because of this concert, I am going to miss the playing of game 1...Friars vs Bums...yes indeed...will tape it...but, man, it's just not the same...I am sure I will check scores on my phone throughout the nite ... negate all the shaded part....

Cloud 9...the atmosphere here, in San Diego...as the Friars swept the Braves (hey now now) and are moving on...to face the highly favored, rich cats of La La Land, them Bums...it was kinda cool, to see the reactions of the Padres...a subdued celebration...as the real direction is to the Dodgers...we want and need to beat them...ah, hem, like we did in the series this season...you bloody blue people, don't know that, do you...starts this weekend in LA... Yup, the tickets we had for today, if needed...alas, were not...and now hope for either Tuesday or Wednesday...as the series moves back here to Petco...eerily close to my birth date...fuggit about numbers, please...I am trying to...  Much more important was the release of the documents of Jack Smith...detailing the actions of trump, once he knew he got his arse handed to him...in the last election...significance, were the words of his very own VP, Mike Pence...what we all thought he might be saying...and now, what he actually DID SA...

For the positives of the day, it was all shattered in the Middle East...as Iran launched over 200 missiles into Israel...and that war has begun...'The Iron Shield' intercepted most of them...but, from what I see, the Iran braintrust felt that more is better...it will no doubt trigger a response from Israel...and I think a devastating one...figure in the next few hours...really...pound for pound, Israel is the toughest nation in the world...Iran will feel the impact...without a doubt...more to come... The positive...the Friars shut out the Braves (hey now now), 4-0...with 3 major events...two guys that came our way in the Soto trade with the DAMN YANKEES, Michael King and C Higgy...King had 12 K's and Higgy a topper HR...the 3rd, was Jr blasting the 1st pitch he saw for a 2 run dinger...and now...game 2, with a chance to move on...yes, my son and I have tix for game 3, if necessary...one more thing, up until the SD game, the other 3 frays were all won by the visitor... The V...

Must say that this year has gone so fast...hasn't it?...we are now opening up the month of October...so many things that just happened that I will try to cover... Let's start with the Wild Card in MLB...important to you?...probably not...but, to us Friar fans, yup...as a most curious DH between 2 of the possible opponents were played in Atlanta yesterday....the Mets at the Braves (hey now now)...the winner of the 1st, was automatically in...NY did so, in a fun game...change of leads and all...and the 2nd?...a ho hum lack of enthusiasm by both, especially the first game winners, the Mets...almost like a colluded outcome for Atlanta...I'm sure nothing like that would ever happen...which meant that the DBacks were done for the year...anyhoo, the Padres host the Braves (hey now now)...one oddity of the aforementioned DH...no tomahawk chop...where has it gone?...anyhoo, today at 5:35 or so... The hurricane Helene...the aftermath...over 130 deaths...all the way up to North Caroli...

You know my penchant for team golf...lurve it...can be the guys or gals...makes no diff...the drama is great...I can't imagine the stress and camaraderie these pros go thru...in a usual solo game...the Prez Cup, this time in Canada...pits the International Team vs the USA...it's fun, until it's not... There is a pair of blokes on the INT squad, that take it tooooo far...dance around after winning a hole...antagonize the opponents, I reckon...fire up the home crowd...which wouldn't be needed...make it a CIRCUS!... One hole in particular, yesterday...one of the blokes, hit a miraculous flop shot, that landed in the hole for a surprising win...as Coach Larry would call it a 'luck bag'...and he and his partner went off...giving the Steph Curry sleep sign to the USA....dancing about like clowns...the euphoria was short lived, however...as their B&B act fell flat...and got beat on the 18th hole...
