CRAZY HORSE

Some might call the Horse, Crazy... but to play at golf, in 100 degree heat...well, perhaps, they are right...ah, who is 'they?'...hold on Horse, that should be are...see, it affected me brain...my shirt, that says it is moisture take away material...was molded to my skin, with a good 3 pounds of it...ah, what's the difference if it is on my body, with a shirt or not?...IT'S STILL THERE!...really now...thought that I was about to have heat stroke...whatever that is...heat and very little air movement...yet, somehow, I played better than I have in years...go figure... The mighty Friars...a solid win over the Gigantes...as the Dbacks and Bums both lost...Manny was the star, hitting 2 dingers...and had 3 rbi's... Football...watched the BYU/SMU game last nite...man, these are 2 really bad teams...the win was by a FG...both teams couldn't score TD's...but settled for the kicker...man, was it like real...boring...today...Texas and Michigan play....and the Ducks ho...

The hysteria...of another SCHOOL SHOOTING!...the impact of the here and now...and forever...this time...in Georgia...next time?...isn't that a fear we all have?...the next time?...my direction is that each and every school district in the land, should cancel classes TODAY...and have the staff, and all the protective agencies meet....and re-discuss the procedure to follow...BE PREPARED...because, unfortunately...there will be a copycat... You all know my feeling about the public owning rapid fire guns...until there is a ban on them...well, we will see more of what just happened...unless Congress acts...the very hollow 'our thoughts and prayers go out'... 'The Women'...I wrote about this Monday...and have been talking up the book...what shocked me the most...is that a friend (no names) was a beneficiary of just what the book was all about...he was shot in Vietnam in '66...and the medical corps patched him up...as he told me, that nurses and doctors were extraordin...

Often I will start with a blast from the past...like today...as I reminisce about the Labor Days. ..back in my working life...as the school year started the day after...and the Horse did his most favorite 'get away' thang...a day at the horse races at the Oregon State Fair...alas, not only am I done with that job, but the horses no longer run at the Fair...both I would rate as too bad...I do miss the teaching/coaching gig... Suffice to say, that the horses still run down here in SoCal...and my goal for the week, is to get out to Del Mar for a day at the races ...if you have never, it is a most beautiful site...you must attend at least once...the owners do it right...I believe the most cherished of all events, the Breeder's Cup is here this November...good golly, these animals are amazing...I rate this rad... This MLB West contest...wild as it can be ...as the Bums are stretching out a bit...money talks...yet, the Friars are holding on...as Jr returned....Yu goes Wednesday.....

This act just never gets old...in fact, it exhilarates you ... the legendary Beach Boys ... albeit, there are but 2 standing... Mike Love and Bruce Johnston ...with a shocking amount of enthusiasm by John Stamos . ..the others?... Dennis Wilson and Carl Wilson have passed on... Brian Wilson has a number of health issues... Al Jardine has his own band...and Dennis Means , hooked up with the Boys on their 50th Anniversary Tour, back a bit...however, the present group has invigorated the songs, by youth...Mike's son, Christian, and other very talented 'kids'... Mike has the lead in many of the songs...his voice is not what it once was...the joyful attitude is still there ...and the cats that surround him, do have the voices...and the Shell was absolutely rocking...young and old, grooving to the sounds of the 60's...never fails... We had a glitch...got our tix thru Stubhub ...and didn't actually receive them 'til about 5 pm...bought them in April...needless to sa...

This, my good friends, is the month that will shape the rest of the upcoming election...yes, believe me oh great ones...the judgment of trump's fraud case...the debate or two...maybe...and then, the constant push to address the needs of the people in the middle...talk talk talk... Headlines are that 6 of the Israeli hostages were brutally murdered, just as they were to be found ...I don't have to tell you, the onslaught that will be coming forth to the Gaza...and very soon...so much for diplomacy...there are too many radicals to deal with...and this war goes on and on...and on... College football had a Big Bang this weekend ...you all know, I am a Duck fan...and yes, we have the Big 10 Channel on our Cox subscription...the hype as the number 3 in the land, well, it looked to me as just that, hype...won the game, against a very tough Idaho Vandal team...really...or, is it that UO is lacking?...throwing deep was not evident, by plan, or by necessity?...I dunno...+, over at the ne...
