With the passing of John Forsythe , I recall what I thought of cool when I was growing up...he carried himself so well, grace, dignity, that kind of stuff...like others with a special swagger... JFK , Cary Grant , Rock Hudson , Kirk Douglas , Humphrey Bogart , Andy Williams , ...on those special lines... My problem with Idol this time around...outside of just a few, less talent...Ellen...why are the judges trying to make the kids cry...OK, it's not a horrible show, but...you know what I mean... Survivor ...split household here...Marsh likes the little villain and I like Boston Rob...out goes BR...so Marsh was happy...boo The Pads won again...ho hum.., this time against their farm club, Lake Elsinore...by the way, who has the coolest symbol in all of sport...check it out...the Lake Elsinore Storm...the eyes... You know your day can be affected by the little things that pop up...like the newspaper being stolen from your doorstep...it doesn't take much to alter your mood, when somebody lifts what is yours...coffee, lying in your bed, your puppy by your side, reading the latest news...yet, again, the paper was missing...so, I got to thinking about other little things that must go right to have a normal, free flowing day...how's your day?  is it a good day?  what did you do today?  what are you doing today?  have a good day... Well, not so fast mister...there is but a gaggle of occurrences that go on that we take for granted...like what if: you lost power during the night...and all the clocks are off your mate has the jimmy legs your mate has excessive snoring your mate has leg issues and can't walk the dog your dog buked during the night on the carpet there is no hot water the tv has lost it's connection your computer can't hook up to the internet you're out...

Continuing his book signing around this great country, despicable Karl Rove hit the La Jolla scene...and you bet, he had a load of protesters greeting him...he actually believes he was right about his exploits...I hate politicians...well,most of them...and the Bush regime was a bunch of liars...power to the people...say Karl, because of guys like you, the country endorsed Prez O... The Padres have a problem...sending guys down to the farm system from the bigs...here it is...they have been playing well...and some of the departing have done a great job...case in point, Wade LeBlanc...4-0 with an 1.98 era...it's along season and he'll be back up...the team, 14-1-2 over the last 17 games... The Blazers won last night and qualified for the playoffs...anywhere from 6th thru 8th...by the way, the Lakers continue to struggle...a flaw? The Padres continue their torrid streak as the Cactus League comes to a close...they are now 12-1-1...it's just a good thing...13 days until the home opener...they have been hitting, pitching, so well... Watched a bit of the gals Big Dance ...the guards are lightning quick...but nobody compares to Connecticut... The Ducks keep letting out rumors about who they are after for their hoop's coach...everyone that is mentioned denies it...duh... We watched Michael Moore's flick, "Capitalism, a Love Story"...he is certainly a task master...and puts more scare into you about how horrible the politicians are...and how scary the Treasury Dept. is... The rain returns and I'm hitting the links before it arrives...hopefully... It's hump day !

So did you watch your Dancing With the Stars last night?  Clear favorite is the Pussycat Doll ...actually garnering a couple of 10's...and on the bottom is Buzz and OMG Kate Gosselin , what a witch!  There were a few story lines I tried to follow and couldn't... 11 out of the last 13 and are not looking back...yup, I'm talking the Pads ...hit three taters and got solid pitching...what else is there? I have never heard as much negative cynicism as the conservatives lament over the health bill...wait, that's wrong...it's the same old story... Have I ever told you how much I hate politics and politicians ? What is happening in Russia ?  The 2 female suicide bombers are a major concern... I love spring break ...I know, you say I'm always on spring break... Catch this... Flemings is offering a filet and lobster 4 course meal for 2...for $99!!! Went down to Nicky Rottens last night and enjoyed the beautiful weather and their 1/2 price drinks... I am rambli...

So I got 3 out of 4.... Butler , Mich. St. and Duke ... West Virginny slid in against the cheater coached Kentucky...and, I still don't see anyone beating the Blue Devils... The Padres have gotten closer to their opening day roster and the number 5 starter will be Matt Latos...hey, the team looks as good as it possibly can be...it has not shelled out the $ that LA or NY has, but I got a feeling about this team...oh, by the way, they won again...this time a 7-0 pasting of the Giants... How about them Blazers !  They go into Oky City (Supersonics) and win...and now are tied for 6th...keep going PDX... Sixty Minutes did an article on the new owner of the hapless Nets of the NBA...a Russian that has loads of $...seems odd to say that as they were Socialists just a mere decade or so ago...he does not seem that trustworthy to me... The young gal from South Korea whupped the field out at LaCosta and won for the 1st time in the US... Michelle Wie had another rule infraction fias...

Well, it was a great win and that young coach can go anywhere he wants...how about to Orygun ?  Now, that would be a cool thing huh...
