Naw, not the Miami Heat. ..but the heat of my golf course in east El Cajon.... Sycuan ...if all goes well, I'll be joining the club this weekend...it was 89* there as I hacked and slashed around the links...the complex itself has 2 18 hole regular courses, Willow Glen and Oak Glen...and a 18 hole executive one, Pine Glen...a driving range, 3 putting greens, a chipping green, a practice hole, a restaurant...and a couple more miles southeast, a casino...what's not to want? Now, back to the NBA...I really want the Heat to lose...as I have said before, I would hate to coach James and his arrogance... PDX versus the Mavs ...GO BLAZERS ! The point shaving thinger out at USD ...poor Coach Grier , inherited the nucleus of the scandal...fought with them regularly....and it turned out there was a bunch of stuff behind the scene...I am afraid it's just the tip of a mighty big iceberg... Somehow the Pads scored 4 runs and won...won't wonders never cease... You see whe...

Finally...the way too long NBA regular season is coming to a close...and the playoffs begin on Saturday...and due to the lineups changes and all...well...I'm pulling against teams rather than for them...like the Heat and Knicks ...boo... but...I am in it to win it with the Blazers ...hate the Mavs and it's a perfect 1st round match up...and, as I have been saying for some time... the Lakers will not get the crown... LA should beat New Orleans , but the PG situation will make it very interesting... the Thunder (Supersonics) and Nugget series will be fun... So who do I pick?  from the East I have... the Bulls ...from the West I have... the Spurs ...oops, that's chalk...but...that's what I got... And you think I'm kidding about the anemic Pads ?  They did pull out a win last eve to salvage one against the Reds ...but catch these awesome numbers... the new GM's pickups in the last year and a half... Cantu ...one of AG's replacements... hitting .1...

Kobe, Kobe, Kobe...a little upset at the officiating...and unleashes the meanest thing he can think up...a slanderous verbal attack at the ref...calling him a gay something...and the NBA came down hard on him...fined him $100 thou...bit change for him...yet, still a lot... Barry Bonds finally got nailed...for obstruction of justice...max is 10 years...I dunno...what u think? The Pads are much worse than last year...and why is Headley batting 3rd?  No power, no zip, not consistent...makes no sense...where's Kooz? Idol tonight...and if I were one of them remaining two gals, I'd have a whole lot of doubt about my longevity...5 straight gurl ousters... No, say it isn't so!  The possibility of another sports gaming fix ...this time it's a surprise team in ... USD ...hoops...and the money just keeps flowing all around the players in the collegiate world... HBO just ran a piece on big time money made on college football and basketball...and the dough used to legally and illegally  recruit "stars" to schools...how the D-1 colleges turn their heads to all the corruption and cheating that goes on.... to make money ... I am simplifying things here... it is much more complicated ...there are those out there that say the players should be paid as they play...that a degree is not enough...if, in fact, they ever get one...so...the hanger onners thrive...in this case, it's for the purpose of making $ on fixed games...give the participants cash as the betters make moolah... I feel it is rampant out there...I see it on all levels...I fear it in the officiating...I fear it in the coaching...I fear it in the players...and ...

As we approach the elongated NBA playoffs later this week, there is renewed hope for the. . Trailblazers! . ...I know you Laker fans, it's but a pipe dream...but...haven't you just lost 5 in a row? And I hate the Mavs and all...and haven't the Spurs been very injured?  Yup, it's not a for sure...but it's a strong maybe...just, pass the ball Andre.... Who woulda thunk Charl Swetz ...oh whatever...to birdie the last 4 holes and walk away with the Masters...it was a wild finish as Tiger turned the fans on their crazy side as he made a wild charge to actually lead it at one time...and poor Rory , just wasn't his day...actually played like a guy caught up in the stress of it all and fell apart... Aaron Harang pitched another beauty and the Pads got game no. 3 against the SD friendly Dodgers ...and your Ludwick character actually hit a dinger...on the other side of the states, the always televised Red Sox / Yankees series, they continue to take turns beat...

So did you have Charl as your Master's pick?  Rory, the 21 year old, crumbled on the back... The cameras couldn't keep up with the shots... Tiger did make it interesting...as did the Aussies....
