So this was the scenario just a season ago...with your villain, Ron Artest , in the face of your fav, Kobe Bryant ....fast forward to this year...the bad boy, now a Laker ,  tips in the game winner vs. Los Suns at the buzzer and is now the hero ...well, not so fast my faithful...Artest took the worst shots possible in the final minute of the game and was very, very, fortunate to grab and release the Bryant air ball...it is said that Phil Jackson is the best coach of all NBA time ...he has his hands full with this guy...have to eat some of my words, the last 2 playoff series are mildly interesting... Padres ...they have this Thursday afternoon delight ...call it Retro ...they put on these hideous uni's that are brown and yellow , reminiscent of Wyoming's sooooo uglies, and promptly, play like them...regardless, they won the St. Louie series and move on to host the surprising Nats... AND are in 1st place by 2 games ...and have the best record in the National League...yet...

I think in a very close vote, Idol crowned Lee Dewyze as it's 2010 champ...the runner -up Crystal Bowersox ...overall, I liked the show... head and shoulders above all is Carrie Underwood ...but, it was way cool to see most all of the previous winners back to honor the exit of Simon ...not lost on the moment, was the lack of genuine love for the self-righteous ...oops, almost lost composure there...as I have said for some time now, neither one of the finalists do much for me ...catchy the way they brought real stars to sing their stuff...Brothers Gibb, Christina A, Michael McDonald, Alice Cooper, Alanis Morisette, the apprentice winner, Joe Cocker...and what the heck was that mess Janet Jackson doing there ?  I thought lyp-sinc was a thing of the past, and especially on this true singing show... OMG, the Padres ...another one run win...by the guy who won the previous game with a HR, Jerry Hairston, Jr ...lost in the V, was another super pitching job by the staff...even though ...

The 10th version of Dancing With The Stars crowned the right one.... Nicole Scherzinger (sp) of the Pussycat Dolls...the right thing about how this is judged is that the judges have a vote in the outcome...note that, Russell the Rat, late of Survivor...her pro, Derek Hough , is an innovator at his craft... Idol ...watched the taped version...like to think that Crystal won the event by her singing...BUT...there a lot of voters, that have their own agenda...and, as I have been saying for a while now... neither one of them are that good ...tonight's show will probably be more about Simon leaving than crowning the champ or champress... So we saw this little article in the Sunday Trib about what to do when in SD...it mentioned a road trip to a mountain town northeast of here...so we got into the Solara, top down, and headed east on the 8...almost 2 hours later, with some of it very windey...we came across this far out, rad, cool, hip, little oasis called Julian ...as we ambled about the streets and went into the many little shops...filled with whatever, but many things that were of the hippy vintage ... Marsh bought 3 such things...kind of got us prepared for CSN tonight...more of that later...this town has the 4 seasons as it hailed big time the day prior...they get up to a couple of feet of snow during their winters...kind of reminded me of a less refined Sisters ...anyhooo....their big claim to fame is their apple pies...and they have 3 main bakeries to choose from...that in itself is amazing for such a small town...we settled in at the Julian Pie Co. and had a 1/2 sand and pie special...without a doubt, the ...

This young lad was the back-up QB at Michigan ....yup, the Wolverines ...holding the clip board for Chad Henne ...yup of the Miami Dolphins ...and the coach, old school...
